As much as my fun with Brina and Faeryn had been, it wasn’t what I really needed. Days have passed, and yet I still find myself as lost as I was before I ever stepped through Brina and Tatum's doorway. On a positive note, my uncle hasn’t been as big a pain in the ass as he was on day one. In fact, he seems less worried or concerned about me and more concerned about the situation at hand. Especially since Aunt Cassie called us all in for a meeting.

My eyes drift around the grand hall, taking in the white marbled designs upon the wall mixed with the florals and hard woods of the Fae realm. The King and Queen—my beloved Aunt and Uncle—sit upon the white thrones of our ancestors, or so my mother calls it, staring at us as Brina tries to explain what it is we’ve been doing and why we aren’t any closer to figuring out a solution.
