For the Night Watch organization, foreign mercenaries were utterly detested.
One reason was that they were ubiquitous.
As soon as they caught a whiff of an Undead Spirit mutation, these mercenaries would swarm in.
No matter how the Night Watch tried to establish blockades or resort to violent expulsion, they always found a way to infiltrate.
Yet, as a global supernatural organization, the Night Watch placed extreme importance on their external reputation, unable to commit the vile act of outright killing these mercenaries.
Another reason was the complete lack of discipline.
Even if they moved with the Night Watch, the commands of the Night Watch Knights fell on deaf ears.
When the fight was in their favor, they recklessly charged forward; at the first sign of defeat, they fled faster than anyone else.
Sometimes they would even draw monsters towards the Night Watch lines, or steal equipment from the Night Watch, giving the Knights a tremendous headache.
