Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: Trouble

Running out of time, the twins had to go through the woods. "Hurry up!" said one of the twins, pushing tree branches out of the way. "I'm trying, but I can't run as fast as you." The other twin said back to her sister. They kept on running until they saw a tall black iron bar fence. They stopped in front of it "Okay, now we just have to get inside before anyone notices us." said one twin to the other. She turned around to see her twin sister trying to catch her breath. "Are you going to be okay?" she asked her. Still trying to catch her breath she managed to say yes; then looked up. "How are we supposed to get in? The fence is too high and it's sharp at the top, plus it's electrical." She said with heavy breathing. "I don't know, we might have to go through the front gate entrance, but we have to do something about the guards that guard that area." the other one said. She held her hand out to her sister telling her to come on, her sister grabbed her hand and she pulled her up. They started running again, but close to the fence until they saw an opening with two guards. They stopped and hid behind a tree, so they couldn't see them. The twins started thinking of a plan to get in without them getting noticed. "Do you have an idea or are we going to have to wing it again?" one twin asked the other. "We might have to wing it like before." she answered. They both picked up a rock and aimed for the guards heads. The twins started counting down from three and through the rocks at lightning speed. The guards fell to the ground, and the twins ran straight through the entrance; to the castle. "Wait we can't go through the castle entrance, we'll get caught." one twin said, stopping the other twin. "Well let's go through the secret passage way then." she told her twin, grabbing her arm, pulling her to the right. She pressed in one of the stone rocks on the castle, and then right next to them some stones started moving and formed a way in. They both went through and the doorway disappeared behind them. "It's dark; I can't see a thing." one of the twins said. The other one agreed and they kept on going, until they felt a wall in front of them. "Feel for a button somewhere." one said. They both felt around the area for a button. After a few seconds one of them found it and pushed the button to open the way out of the passageway and into the castle. "Finally, fresh air." said the one that fount the button. "Let's hurry." She said, grabbing her sister. They ran through the doorway and bumped into something hard, so they looked up and saw a guard. "RUN!" they both said to each other. The guard grabbed them before they could run away. "Your both coming with me." The guard said to them, carrying them by the collar of their shirt. The guard carried them down the hallway to the throne room; where the King and Queen were sitting on their thrones. "I found them, Sire." the guard said to the King, letting the twins down on their feet. The twins looked up at the King and the Queen, with worry. Silence fell upon the room, then the King stood up looking angry and disappointed. "Where were you two?" the King said in a deep low voice. The twins said nothing and looked at the floor. The King gets frearious and gets closer to them, "Did you NOT HEAR ME!" the King started to yell. "HONEY!" the Queen yelled; getting up out of her seat, walking over to her husband. A guard was standing in the doorway of the room; he started pulling out his sword. The guard that brought the twins to the throne room stood there, waiting for the next move. The Queen put her hand firmly on her husband's shoulder and whispered something in his ear. The King looked at the twins, turned around and left the throne room. The guard that was in the doorway put his sword back in its sheath. The Queen watched her husband leave the room, and then turned towards the twins and the guard. "Thank you for bringing the girls to us, but I do believe I can take it from here." the Queen said politely to the guard. The guard bowed down to the Queen and left the throne room as well. The Queen watched as the guard left, and then stepped down to where the twins were. Still looking at the floor, a hand appeared in front of their face. "Don't look so gloomy and please stop leaving the castle without telling us..." the Queen said; the twins looked up only to meet eye to eye with the Queen. "We worry about you girls, even though your father doesn't show it." She continued and hugged the twins. "I was so worried about you two and I know that you two don't like the castle, but you're not prisoners here." She started to cry, but continued talking "If you don't want to tell nobody; write me a letter, so I won't worry as much and don't forget your personal guards as well. Okay." The Queen finished; letting go of the girls and wiping away her tears. The twins looked at her and said 'We're sorry for making you worry; we didn't know that it was going to take that long. If we did, then we would've never gone alone. We're so sorry mother, we never wanted to see you cry.' apologetically to their mother. Their mother looked at them and smiled. "You two can enter the room, you know." she said to the guard standing in the doorway; she looked in that direction. The guard that was standing in the doorway, all quiet, finally said something. "So you saw us over here; even though I'm the only one out in the open." The guard said moving towards the twins agilly. The twins looked at him, one was surprised and the other was angry. They both walked towards him, and then another guard came from around the corner; where he came from. "Sashor!" yelled one of the twins, running up to the guard that came from around the corner. She threw her arms around his neck; hanging from him with a big smile on her face. Sashor wrapped his arms around her waist and told her that they never left their side for a second. The other twin walked up to the guard that was walking up to them and asked him why he didn't help them get back inside the castle without getting caught. He didn't answer her, instead he looked at her in silence. "You need to go to your room and relax; after your hot bath." he told her, and then picked her up off her feet. She blushed a bit and asked him what he was doing; the other twin turned her head to see what was going on. "Hey put her down!" her sister told him. He ignored her and carried her sister up the stairs towards a room; he closed the door behind him. "He did NOT just ignore me?" She asked Sashor, turning her head back towards him. "Well I'm going to find your father before he does something stupid; and make sure all four of you keep it down." said the Queen, going in the direction her husband went. "Yes, mother." "Yes, your majesty." the two said at the same time. The Queen left, leaving them two alone in the throne room; with nobody around. "Let's go find out what they are doing." said the twin to Sashor. Sashor looked at her and nodded.
