Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: A Glimpse of Captivity

Date:24/4/2029

One night, as the moon cast a soft glow over the abandoned mall, I fell into a deep slumber. In the depths of my dreams, memories of my captivity within the government research facility resurfaced. The dream took me back to the days before our escape, before the explosion that changed everything.

In the dream, I found myself confined to a sterile, dimly lit cell. Cold metal restraints bound my wrists and ankles, a constant reminder of my powerlessness. The air was thick with the smell of disinfectants, and the echoing sounds of distant experiments sent shivers down my spine.

Each day was a cycle of cruel experiments, testing the limits of my immunity to the Xero virus. The scientists probed and prodded, seeking to understand the source of my resilience. The pain was unbearable, but I refused to let them break me. Deep down, I knew I had to survive for the sake of the others, my fellow test subjects.

My memories of the other survivors in the dream were hazy, their faces distorted like fragments of a broken mirror. Yet, I could feel their presence, a silent camaraderie that bound us together. We were all trapped in this nightmare, united by the horrors we endured.

Among them was Blaze, his fiery determination matching the flames he would later summon. Frost, the calm and collected one, a reflection of the ice powers that would emerge. Gloss, with her gentle yet unyielding spirit, an embodiment of her telekinetic abilities. And Light, a beacon of hope and warmth, his power to manipulate light already shining through.

In the dream, I saw flashes of moments shared with the other survivors during the rare instances when we were allowed to interact. We exchanged words of encouragement, shared small smiles amidst the pain, and silently vowed to escape this hellish prison together.

But one face stood out amidst the others—the mysterious figure in a lab coat. Their eyes held a mix of compassion and guilt as they observed us from the shadows. I couldn't decipher their intentions fully, but a glimmer of hope clung to the possibility that not everyone within the government was as heartless as the others.

As the dream continued, I witnessed the moment of our escape—the explosion that rocked the facility, freeing us from our captors. The blast also granted us our extraordinary abilities. The memories of that pivotal event were clearer, the surge of newfound power coursing through our veins, changing us forever.

Upon waking, I was overwhelmed with a sense of urgency and determination. The dream had brought back the pain of captivity but also the strength of our unity. I knew that the answers to our past and the key to our survival lay hidden in the ruins of the city and within the bond we shared as The Survivors.

Sharing the dream with my fellow survivors, we felt a renewed sense of purpose and solidarity. Each one of us had endured unimaginable horrors, but together, we would face the challenges that lay ahead. Our journey was far from over, and with each step, we moved closer to uncovering the truth about our origins and forging a path to a better future in this unforgiving world.
