Chapter 26 - Chapter 26: Fusion Chaos & The Dungeon’s Wrath (Updated)

The past day has been nothing short of insane.

Hestia still struggles to process the fact that her first Familia member is a Level 10 adventurer, but that's not the priority now.

The real issue?

My strange main quest—and the terrifying discovery that followed.

At first, Jarvis refused to help, repeating the same cryptic line:

"Every necessary tool has been provided by the Creator."

That phrase sent my mind into a frenzy, forcing me into a storm of theories.

Trying to break through the confusion, I purchased {Eidetic Memory} and {Parallel Thinking}, then fused them together—creating {Higher Intellect}.

This boosted my intelligence—both mentally and stat-wise—adding +400 INT.

Even with this enhanced mental processing, I still couldn't figure it out.

The puzzle haunted me so much that I slept on it, only for the answer to slap me across the face in the morning.

Why?

Because the solution was right in front of me—in my own Falna description.

As soon as I read it, the realization hit me.

The answer was Devour.

And then I remembered—that manga where the MC absorbed the stats and abilities of the monsters and people he killed.

That was it.

This wasn't just a spell or ability—it was an entire system mechanic.

Leaving Hestia frozen, still staring at my status sheet, I teleported to the dungeon, using a rune I had placed for quick return access.

Reaching the final floor, I knew the Black Dragon had likely not respawned yet, but the Wyverns surely had.

Even if they hadn't, I could simply climb to higher floors for more test subjects.

Pinning down a Wyvern, I activated {Devour}.

Nothing happened.

Again—I tried, this time focusing on absorbing its stats and skills.

Still—nothing.

For a moment, I doubted my assumption, thinking I had misinterpreted everything.

But then—it hit me.

"Could Devour be missing something?"

"Could what I'm using right now be only half of the equation?"

If something was incomplete, there had to be a way to fix it.

Taking a bold risk, I issued a command to Jarvis:

"Fuse {Devour} and {Instant Mastery}."

Silence.

For some reason, Jarvis didn't respond.

But instead of hesitating, I manually forced the fusion myself—and immediately regretted it.

Pain like nothing before ripped through me.

This wasn't like my past fusions, where I only felt the effects afterward.

This time, my body was being reconstructed.

But that wasn't even the worst part.

My magic power flared violently, sending waves of energy across the dungeon—like a beacon signaling destruction.

I could neither move nor activate my skills, trapped in the agonizing fusion process.

Then—the dungeon reacted.

As if sensing a threat to its existence, it spawned five Juggernauts—all heading straight for me.

I was completely vulnerable.

In that moment, I thought—this is how I die.

Until—my shadows burst forth.

Jarvis POV

The day I had been prepared for had arrived—the moment the young master would unlock the key to his future.

However, my primary mission wasn't just to observe—it was to protect him.

And now, with the dungeon marking us as hostile, it had sent Juggernauts to execute him.

Protocol activated.

"Emergency protocol engaged. Host death confirmed as imminent. Searching for survival methods."

Teleportation—denied.

Current powers—insufficient.

Taking command.

Deploying magic barriers—but still not enough.

General POV

In the depths of the dungeon's final floor, a deadly scene unfolds.

A young man, trapped in a cocoon of power, surrounded by warriors of shadow—facing off against five skeletal Juggernauts, their blood-red eyes blazing.

The atmosphere is so tense, it could be cut with a blade.

The battle is about to begin.
