Yomikiru: Light and Abyss
On June 14th, 2035, the sky above Shibuya tore open, revealing a colossal spiraling galaxy. The phenomenon, soon dubbed “The Gate,” sent shockwaves across the globe. Despite the deployment of thousands of researchers and soldiers, no tangible secrets were uncovered—until humanity itself began to change.
One year later, humans started manifesting a strange new energy known as Mana, gradually turning Earth into a ground for supernatural awakening. But on August 15th, 2036, a winged entity descended from the heavens, followed by a black vortex that swallowed Raiyo Kureha and dozens of other citizens.
When Raiyo awakens, he finds himself in the Forest of the Abyss — an ancient territory between the realm of angels and the dominion of demons. Alone and disoriented, he uncovers a truth the human world was never meant to face:
