Shibuya, June 14th, 2035.
The sun forgot to rise that day.
Where dawn should have bloomed, the sky instead cracked open — slowly — like a cosmic eye becoming aware of our existence. A massive galactic spiral, silent and ominous, churned above Tokyo. People called it The Gate.
Governments panicked. Faiths either crumbled or grew stronger. But after months of fruitless investigations, the world began to breathe again. False alarm, they said. A cosmic anomaly. A collective hallucination.
But the world had already changed.
Boxers could take down bears with their fists. Hearing, sight, and touch are just slightly better. And skin becomes marginally tougher, making it harder to bruise or cut.
This new force was called Mana.
And me Raiyo Kureha? I was just a freshly graduated high schooler, obsessed with sports, holding a gym membership and a blurry dream of the future.Until August 15th, 2036. The day everything shifted.
That day, The Gate opened once more.
And something came through.
A divine—or perhaps demonic—figure. Black wings. Curved horns. A spiked tail. It hovered above the world, eyes brimming with disgust… and in that moment, we understood.
It wasn't an angel.It was a demon.
And it had just judged humanity.
