"That was insane!" Ethan exclaimed, his heart still pounding from the adrenaline rush. "What kind of security do they have in that place? It was like a military fortress!"
Ziak, though relieved they had the emitter, had a somber look on his face. "Lena mentioned… she buried Father somewhere nearby, after… after it happened. Could we… could we see him one last time?"
Lena nodded, her expression softening with sympathy. She led them to the small, unmarked grave she had hastily dug years ago. Ziak and Kiaz stood in silence for a long moment, a palpable grief radiating from them as they looked at the simple mound of earth that held their father.
After a quiet farewell, a renewed sense of purpose hardened their expressions. Kiaz retrieved the Zeutron emitter, its soft glow now seeming more significant. He turned to Ethan, holding the device steady. "Now, Ethan. This is it."
Following Kiaz's instructions, Ethan held out the wristband. With a deep breath, Kiaz pointed the emitter directly at the tracker and activated it. A beam of focused energy pulsed from the emitter, striking the wristband. The silver metal flared with a brilliant light, and intricate patterns danced across its surface. A low hum filled the air, growing in intensity.
Suddenly, the wristband projected a holographic display, shimmering above Ethan's wrist. It showed a map of the Earth, intricate lines crisscrossing the continents. Then, a faint, pulsing red dot appeared on the map, nestled within a densely populated area.
"There," Kiaz breathed, his luminous eyes fixed on the display. "A faint presence… Cellucas eggs… they're on Earth."
