Synopsis
Of course you live up to expectations from people, right? And of course, if you have such an amazing gift, why doesn’t it work? Well, for Natrix, it’s really something common. Coming from a well renowned family, plus having a large enough background to rival some AA rankers, he had his life planned out from the start. As soon as news of him being a S rank was confirmed and spread around, a diamond spoon was fed to him. Pampered, well-treated, glorified, Natrix thought that his life couldn’t get better. But it did, just the opposite. The talent finally bloomed, infront of thousands to watch. He was instructed to cast it, use it, wield it, anything. They didn’t know what it was, only that it was classified in the category of the legendary S ranks. He couldn’t use it. His life turned around. All hope was lost, all patience from his friends, some family, everyone who has great hope, it was lost. Shattered. One day, Just one day, it happened. The unseeable.

Chapter 1 - Diamond spoon .

"Gosh, Natrix, you should calm down on your trickery!" A goon chuckled, his dark brown hair flowing long that covered his eyes, his lips curved in a sly smile. Moss-colored eyes glinted through the thick hair, train directly on a young dark brown teen. "We might get in trouble again, and it'll ruin our parent's imagery!"

"It won't, you bastard," another goon, this time more smug than sly, nudged the other. His build was slightly bigger, the blue jacket hanging loosely on his shoulders. He had black hair that shone in the restroom light, with dull stormy blue eyes that barely stood out through thick eyelashes. "We know what to do when the teachers come storming in." Then he shot a glance at the teen. "Is he up yet, Natrix?"

"Nope." instead of a hard voice, this one was more softer, which disturbed the black head greatly.

"..Then do we go before we actually get caught?" He asked, taking a few steps towards Natrix. "I can clean this up."

This time, the boy turned his gaze to his goon. Despite being young, he was strikingly gorgeous. Long hair cascaded over his shoulder in great lengths, some strands pooling on the ground. Their colors were a beautiful golden-silver, some even fully silver. Bright emerald eyes easily stood out from long, gold eyelashes matching thick eyebrows, his lips twitching irritatedly. A black tank top covered his skinny chest with a brown shirt half-heartedly thrown over his shoulders. Black combat boots sheltered his feet, a small chain clung to jean pants. Silver earrings twinkled in the dim light of the boy's restroom."Clean this up?" Natrix smirked, his voice slowly getting louder. Waving his hand to the bottles that littered the floor, he crooned, "Yea, as if. You're a lazy ass, and you're acting like you in some gang-"

"Urgh.." a groan interrupted Natrix, who gritted his teeth. Damn it, he woke up. It wasn't strong enough.

"Clean it up," he got up from his crouch, feeling his back ache in protest. His height almost surpassed the goon, who looked mildly uncomfortable at that fact. "More or less, I'm starving. It's almost lunch time right?"

"Yes!" The brown hair goon nodded eagerly. "10 minutes until lunch time, Nat."

"Then let's go," Natrix began to leave, but a hand stopped him.

Curiously looking down at the boy on the floor, he took in the short black hair and wide glasses of Kai. A student with the potential of a C-rank ability. He was wearing the school's uniform, unlike Nat and his very eager goon. It was a blue jean jacket with a white shirt under it. Expensive chains were entrusted to the students as they were knitted into black pants, just to hold their grade. Natrix's chain held the Roman number '9.' The other two bore '10.'

Kai's chain was '8.' Then he talked. "I-I did what you asked for, right?" His voice was quiet, meek. Natrix felt his face twitching to a smile. Oh stop this nonsense. "What did I do-"

"Yes?"

".."

This kid's acting weirdly. Disrupting his train of words always made Kai shook up, but this time, it felt really different. It wasn't like he was just interrupted, it was if it was a willingly silence.

Kai lifted his head, his glasses glinting in the light, but Natrix still saw his eyes. It was angry. Tensing up a bit, he held his gaze, but Kai didn't back down.

A tense silence descended between the two, and as stubborn as Natrix was, he started to get tired of this nonsense.

"Natrix, it's almost time for lunch. Only 5 more minutes left. Let's go, man."

Letting himself break his eyes away from Kai, Natrix nodded to the black head. "Xavier, don't waste your time. Get what I said I needed then let him go." Finally turning away, the two boys exited the restroom, not even taking a glance back.

Taking a step into the lunch room was a mistake Natrix rolled his eyes to. Instantly, he was surrounded by girls and boys alike, some admiring, or just there to get his contacts. It's been one week since he was revealed to have a S rank ability, not bloomed yet, but still swims in his blood. It was announced at a rank check, where every student above 4th grade goes to the nearest hospital and gets a check-up. Some were revealed to already have their abilities, or some had their closed. There were only 4 AA's, above 20 Bs and a ton of Cs and Ds. It's not too rare to have AAs with such a family in the country, but he broke the record. He was the third S rank to emerge in his country. News got around quickly, through rumors of course, and was only confirmed on television. He went from a unbothered student that didn't like to study who desperately wanted more better friends to a popular boy that gained confidence by humiliating some lower students under his boot.

It was like he was given the diamond spoon of the century! His parents were flooded with deals and money, people who wanted to have a good connection to a potential S Ranker, who can use these types of soft, or even tough, parents to persuade their amazing son to help them. He knew that his family fell when at least 4 generations passed without any success of C and up rankers to appear. They were either talentless or were FFs.

His silver and black haired father that didn't have any direct lineage to the fallen reowned family, and a dusty gold haired mother who had half of the blood. Somehow, he was one out of four siblings to actually get the rank. And he was less likely to get it, at that. Youngest out of four, it was believed that the oldest had the most pure blood, then as the time went on with more children, their connection gets duller and duller. The slip of fate must be in him. He must have been the one that had the purest blood! That was what he thought. And, it wasn't true. It was a confusing opposite, but he wouldn't go into that.

Anyways, being surrounded by people, with the chatter real in the air, he feels kind of smug. It just shows his overwhelming popularity that he took so easily, so gladly, which reminded him of how he's going to transfer schools soon. To one of the biggest, best schools, actually. Maybe it'll extend to there? That earned a neat grin.

"Natrix!"

"Natrix, can I ask you a question?"

"Natrix are you intereste-"

"Ugh, move out of the way, Kenzi!" A tall girl with neat, highlighted hair snapped at his goon. Kenzi had started to wave away some people, some of them simply accepted that and got out of the way. But some, just like the highlight head, wouldn't give up. "I have to make this deal!"

"Me too!" Someone yelled.

"Me three!"

"Everyone!" The lunch lady behind the counter yelled over the rising voices. "Go and sit down! Nobody is to make any dumb deals! At this point, I'm going to make the principal ban this dumb shit!" Her voice was achingly loud, and Natrix had to cover his ears when she rose her voice on 'dumb shit.'

The students started to break apart and go there ways, some lingered by but eventually skittered away when they earned a glare from the lunch lady.

"Jeez, she didn't need to enchant her voice to be that loud," Kenzi hissed as he palmed his ear, "now I'm going to be tone deaf for music class."

"That's not how you become tone deaf," Xavier popped up beside Natrix, his eyes locked forward. "But whatever bullshit you want to say, go for it." Straightening his shirt, he started to the tiny lunch line, Kenzi closely following.

Meanwhile, Natrix stayed behind. Xavier's extremely rude nowadays. He used to be so happy to be at Natrix's side. Now, it seems as though he hates, or actually, barely regards Natrix. The fuck is this?
