The calm wind swept over Madi Village, brushing softly against the trees. A peaceful day, yet filled with intensity for two young warriors deep in training.
"Eight hours of meditation daily, Ren. You need to harmonize with your celestial magic," Misaki said calmly, her arms crossed.
Ren's eyes widened. "Eight hours?!"
Misaki gave a slight smirk. "That's just the beginning."
Time passed One year.
In a quiet clearing, Ren and Ryota clashed in a heated sparring match. Ren, focused and sharp, launched a wave of compressed air—Aerowaves—toward Ryota. Ryota swiftly dodged, countering with a streaking Thunderstrike. The blast echoed through the field.
Smoke cleared. Ren, barely scratched, stood with a shimmering layer of atoms swirling around him.
"Atomic Control… makes for a decent shield," Ren thought, lowering his stance.
They leapt into close-range combat. Ren's soft waves from Atomic Control fused into his movements, enhancing both defense and offense. Ryota was pushed back but grinned.
"Let's spice it up!" Ryota shouted, his fists igniting. He launched forward with Flaming Fist, combining momentum and fire. Ren retaliated with Aerowaves, dispersing the flames mid-air.
"Enough for today," Misaki called, stepping in.
The two collapsed on the ground, breathing heavily.
"You both have improved a lot," Airi said with a bright smile.
They headed inside. Airi served the breakfast Misaki had prepared earlier.
Misaki watched them closely. "That's all I can teach for now. You both picked things up faster than I expected."
Ryota leaned in. "What about other advanced magic element of mine?"
Misaki nodded. "There's one thing left—for you only, Ryota. It's time you choose to awaken Plasma Magic. But be warned, you'll lose all your basic elements."
Ryota stood tall. "I'm ready. Honestly, Plasma sounds way cooler than fire and lightning.
Misaki chuckled and retrieved a shimmering blue stone from a sealed box. "This is Lapis, the Magic Bluestone. Place your hands on it and release your magic."
Ryota did as instructed. The stone began to glow, brighter and brighter, as it absorbed all of Ryota's remaining elemental power. Then it provides magic again to Ryota and vanishes leaving a strange warmth in Ryota's hands.
"What now?" Ryota asked, confused.
"You've been given Plasma Magic," Misaki said. "Try it outside."
Ryota stepped into the field, focused, and unleashed a burst—a brilliant beam of plasma tore through the training stone, leaving a charred hole behind.
Ryota laughed. "This is insane!"
Ren clapped. "Nice power, bro."
Airi crossed her arms. "Finally, a useful skill for someone as stupid as you."
"Hey!" Ryota snapped.
Misaki stepped forward. "You've got raw strength now, but you'll need to train harder to master its full potential."
Just then, from a distance, hidden in the shadows of the trees—a squad of 50 soldiers observed Madi Village.
"We attack soon," one of them whispered.
Unaware of the threat creeping closer, the group inside the house continued their casual banter… not knowing that danger loomed just ahead.
