Chapter 9 - Chapter 8: Yin Drinks Secretly

After Chen Xin came to his senses, he looked curiously at Fu Ye, who had invited him to drink. He found it hard to believe that a boy who looked only sixteen or seventeen years old could possess such terrifying strength.

  "Huahuahua—"

Fu Ye waved his hand, and a pile of ancient-looking wine jars appeared at their feet. Chen Xin's eyes lit up. Just judging from the earthenware jars, these wines had clearly been buried treasures for over a hundred years!

  "Bang!"

Fu Ye picked up one jar and pried open the sealed mouth. As soon as the jar of thousand-year soul wine was opened, an intoxicating aroma immediately filled the entire Juxiang Pavilion.

"Well, worthy of my collection. The taste is really good!"

Fu Ye shamelessly claimed that the wine he got from the system was part of his personal collection. Chen Xin's eyes sparkled at the scent. Soul wine! And it wasn't just any—it was a thousand-year soul wine!

"What a nice smell. Ah Yin wants to drink too."

  (^__^)

Ah Yin sat down next to Fu Ye, her ice-blue eyes full of longing for the wine.

"No, you're not eighteen yet. You can't drink."

  o( ̄ヘ ̄o#)

She wanted to drink? Absolutely not. This was a thousand-year-level soul wine. A little Soul Emperor like her couldn't handle it.

"Brother Chen Xin, let's drink together. You helped me today at Juxiang Pavilion, so I'll treat this as a gesture of friendship."

With a casual wave, Fu Ye popped open thirty jars of wine. The rich aroma traveled nearly two miles, drawing greedy glances from drunkards nearby.

  "Gulp gulp."

Fu Ye downed one jar in a few mouthfuls. His body felt warm—though the wine had no effect on him, the sensation was relaxing. After all, Cheng Yaojin once said: if it's edible, it's not a waste.

Chen Xin, generous by nature, didn't hold back. Fu Ye had already said so much—why be shy? As men, they just did it.

Meanwhile, Ah Yin, pouting and sulking, stealthily stretched out her Blue Silver Emperor vine into two jars at the back and drew out wine for herself.

She smiled contentedly after sipping the sweet liquid—but didn't realize her head was getting a bit dizzy.

Fu Ye and Chen Xin chose not to use their soul power to resist the drunkenness. Though they could easily do so, the calming, floaty feeling that came with being tipsy was worth savoring.

They drank late into the night—each finishing fourteen jars. But something felt off to Fu Ye. Didn't they only drink fourteen each? Why were the last two jars also empty?

He shrugged it off, assuming the confusion was just drunkenness.

Restoring a bit of clarity with his soul power, Fu Ye helped Chen Xin to the guest room and secretly granted him a small system gift—an opportunity for enlightenment.

Then he carried Ah Yin, now asleep, to the second bedroom on the top floor—his personal residence.

It resembled an apartment on Blue Star, with three bedrooms, a living room, and a large balcony.

After settling Ah Yin in, Fu Ye returned to his own room. It wasn't about being a gentleman—he simply hated the idea of taking advantage of someone.

To him, clearing someone's name while they were in a daze was the lowest act imaginable.

He lay on the bed, a flood of thoughts in his heart. Though the thrill of gaining invincible power was real, he already felt a growing emptiness inside. He needed something to fill that void.

So… he'd pick up more girls.

After all, his system could lock a girl's favorability toward him so it would never drop. He set a small goal: charm all the girls in Douluo World with his personality! Yeah—let's do it!

In the middle of the night, Fu Ye had already fallen asleep.

His door creaked open softly. Ah Yin, wearing her blue-gold skirt, walked in on silent vines of the Blue Silver Emperor. Her cheeks were red, her eyes half-lidded in intoxication.

She slipped into Fu Ye's bed, gently resting her head on his chest.

"Ah Yin likes the smell of Fu Ye."

Still sleeping, Fu Ye felt the warmth against him and subconsciously wrapped his arms around her. A smile formed on his lips, as if he were having a sweet dream.

Meanwhile, Chen Xin in the guest room had entered a state of enlightenment.

In this state, a soul master could clearly comprehend the essence of cultivation and their martial soul. It was said in the soul master world: after achieving enlightenment, one would face no bottlenecks in the next ten years.

But if disturbed, the enlightenment could be ruined—or worse, lead to regression in cultivation.

As morning came and the sun rose, Fu Ye slowly woke up.

He felt surprisingly well-rested—except for a strange heaviness pressing down on him.

Yawning and stretching, he rubbed his eyes… and then froze.

Wait a minute. Didn't I sleep alone last night?

His golden eyes flew open. As his vision cleared, a blue-gold figure slowly came into focus.

  o_o

  Ah? Ah! Ah!?!

  Ah Yin!?!?

No way—how did she end up in his bed?! Didn't he put her in the second bedroom?

While Fu Ye scrambled to remember last night, Ah Yin slowly woke up.

Rubbing her eyes, she looked at him with sleepy confusion.

  "Fu Ye… let's sleep a bit longer…"

Then she closed her eyes and snuggled into his chest.

  Ah? ????

Before Fu Ye could process anything, she shifted in his arms—and that innocent movement made his eyes widen in shock.
