Chapter 1 - CHAPTER ONE (?)

I woke up to a lush plain of long, healthy, green grass. I got up, wobbled, barely able to stand straight, and finally assessed the place. The grass spanned for miles and into the horizon, with only a few flowers I didn't know the names of dotting the sea of vegetation occasionally. A cool breeze swept through the entire time, so it was a really nice place, eye candy as one might call it, but something was bothering me. How did I get here in the first place?  As soon as the words became a fully fledged thought, a voice immediately answered: ' You died. ' It was a robot like voice, like a mix of Alexa and Siri. However, I was too stunned to process both the information given and my own observation, so instead recoiled, as the voice came from in front of my face. 'Scared?', the thing floating in front of me said. While on any other occasion I would most likely be screaming my head off, the snark and sarcasm in it's voice made me forget my fear, and so I practically yelled back, 'OF COURSE I AM! I MEAN, IF THE LOVE CHILD OF SIRI, ALEXA, A ROBOT AND THE WIKIPEDIA GLOBE MANIFESTED IN FRONT OF YOU, WOULDN'T YOU BE SCARED?!' That was enough to shut her (it?? him??) up, but after a good 5 minutes I calmed down. 'So, I'm dead?' Alexa (I didn't know what her name was, and didn't want to ask) proceeded to make a motion of pushing up her non existent glasses up her non existent nose, before half telling, half mocking me; 'Correction, you died, and your soul was reincarnated into a body that supposedly looks and is physically the same age as it was before.' I turned away from her and started to think. How could I of died? I was perfectly healthy, was just about to finish middle school. All I remembered was lying down to sleep. What happened? Now that the new feel of this world had faded, the reality set in. I was dead. Or rather, I had died. But to my family and friends, I was gone. Forever. I'd never hear my little brother and sister laugh again, even though most of the time it was at me. I'd never listen to my mother nag me about school. I'd never see Hui Mang again. I'd never go on another family trip again. I'd never see my dad again. Nothing would be normal anymore. I started to sob, as the despair slowly seeped into my heart. What if there was no one here? What would I do? I was just 14, a small kid in this big world that could easily swallow me whole. I had no defense. Someone could easily drag me away, never to be seen again. With shaky breaths, I turned to Alexa. Maybe she could help. I mean, she said reincarnated, right? Then this was probably like those fantasies I read sometimes, which meant I had a super cool power!
