Chapter 30: Global Spotlight, Real Threats
Morning – Yi Family Residence
The living room was packed with journalists, cameras, and microphones. Yi-Ana tried to stay composed as she answered the media's rapid-fire questions.
"Is it true Gevran plans to escalate this case to the Ministry level?"
"How do you feel about your son becoming a symbol of educational reform?"
Yi-Ana offered a calm, faint smile. "I just see my son doing what's right. And I will stand behind him… like any mother would."
---
Afternoon – Daehan International School
The school was no longer peaceful. Several teachers resigned. The board of trustees held an emergency meeting. Students from other schools came to show their support, holding posters and banners:
> "We're Students, Not Commodities."
"Gevran Speaks for Us All!"
But threats also crept closer. A black, unmarked car lingered outside the school gates. Unknown students attempted to infiltrate the student council office.

Night – Student Council Room, Daehan
An emergency meeting was held.
Han Jimin: "We need protection. This is no longer just about school."
Min Soojin: "We must take this to the National Education Commission—legally."
Rhea: "And we need international backing. I can reach out to alumni now working in foreign media."
Gevran tapped the table gently. "We'll do it all. But one rule—no one gets hurt. This is a fight, not a war."
---
Late Night – Seoul City Hall
Gevran received a secret invitation to meet with the Deputy Minister of Education. The confidential meeting took place in a secured underground chamber.
The Deputy Minister stared at him for a long moment. "Kids your age shouldn't be in this position."
"But I can't stay silent while my friends are exploited by a broken system," Gevran replied calmly.
After a pause, the minister slid a document across the table.
"This is an open investigation permit. But be warned—the more support you gain, the more enemies you'll draw."

the sharper the shadows behind him.
