Chapter 2 - Chapter 2: Shocked Marvel for a Hundred Years—Who Is This James?

"What the hell? What the hell just happened?!"

"Oh my God... did the 'Past Life Exposure Screen'—that miracle of a system—actually malfunction because of one person?!"

"No way! That's impossible! Who in the world is this James? What kind of past life could cause the system to issue a universal-level warning?!"

"Someone check the multiverse; this has to be a joke!"

All across Blue Star, people were frozen in shock.

What had just occurred was beyond comprehension. The miracle system, known for broadcasting the hidden past lives of individuals across the universe, had actually malfunctioned because of one man—James.

It wasn't just unprecedented—it was inconceivable.

The live broadcast chatrooms were flooded with comments at a speed never seen before. Even in the elite Extraordinary Chat Group, where the most powerful and influential figures in the world resided, members who rarely appeared began to speak.

[Extraordinary Chat Group]

[Captain Steve Rogers]: Is it just me, or has the world lost its mind? The system actually issued a full-scale warning across the universe because of one person?

[Deadpool]: Correction, Cap. It's not even because of one person—it's because of that person's past life! That's gotta be next-level weird. And seriously, who the hell is James? SHIELD couldn't dig anything up, could they? No way, right?

[SHIELD Director – Nick Fury]: James. Origin: Longguo. Age: 28. Orphan. Unmarried. Also listed as the sole shareholder of "Future Technology," a high-level tech conglomerate that's made waves across multiple industries. That's all we found—but even that feels... off. This info is too neat, too curated. Feels like a smokescreen.

[Tony Stark]: Hold up. You're telling me there's someone richer than me?! And what's this about "memetic infection," "reality benders," and "San values"? Since when did past lives get so Lovecraftian?

[Ancient One]: Sadly, even I cannot peer into the origins of this anomaly. It eludes all attempts at clairvoyance. That world… it resists observation.

[Thor]: Are you telling me there are beings more powerful than the gods themselves? I do not accept that easily.

[Loki]: You wouldn't.

The chat group erupted in discussions. Marvel's elite—heroes, mystics, cosmic figures—were all baffled by the emergence of James. In the real world, the ripple effect had already begun.

S.H.I.E.L.D. Headquarters

In the heart of the most powerful intelligence organization on Earth, the name "James" repeatedly flashed across encrypted screens. Director Nick Fury leaned back in his chair, staring at the name with a deeply furrowed brow. His already dark expression seemed to deepen further.

"Damn it," Fury muttered under his breath. Even with all of SHIELD's surveillance networks, satellites, and black-ops contacts, they couldn't uncover anything beyond the superficial information on James. And that only made things worse.

The records were too perfect. Too clean.

He could smell a cover-up from a mile away.

Whether James was a supernatural being, a rogue element from another timeline, or a member of some unknown cosmic order—it didn't matter. What mattered was that SHIELD had no control over this man.

And Fury hated that more than anything else.

Stark Industries Tower

Tony Stark sat on a couch in one of his penthouse labs, lazily swirling a drink in his glass. His expression was tense, his usual smirk replaced with genuine intrigue.

"JARVIS, why am I hearing crickets? You're slipping," he said, only half-joking.

"I apologize, sir," JARVIS replied. "I've scoured every known data repository, classified and public. There is no additional credible information regarding James or the system's warnings."

After a short pause, the AI added, "However, I have compiled a comprehensive profile of Future Technology, the company owned solely by James. Would you like to review it?"

Tony downed the rest of his drink and slammed the glass on the table. "Damn it. I hate it when someone's more mysterious than me. But I've gotta admit—anyone who makes that system short-circuit must be some kind of genius."

He stood up suddenly.

"Alright, JARVIS. Reach out to him. I want to propose a collaboration. Be polite. And remember, geniuses respect other geniuses."

Kamar-Taj

The cold wind from the Himalayan mountains howled against the magical barriers of Kamar-Taj, the ancient sanctuary of sorcerers. Yet within its mystical halls, even the apprentices had stopped their training, gathering at the temple steps and whispering anxiously.

"Did you see the warning the system issued?"

"That James guy… Who is he really?"

"The Sorcerer Supreme doesn't even know? That's impossible!"

"Was he a cosmic being in a past life? A mutant? Or... something else?"

Inside the inner chamber, the Ancient One stood in quiet contemplation. Clad in her ceremonial robe, her gaze was fixed on the glowing light screen suspended in the sky.

As the guardian of the Time Stone, few beings across the multiverse could rival her power. Her knowledge spanned centuries and galaxies.

And yet… when she tried to peer into James's past life, she encountered a darkness so absolute it threatened her very soul. Merely attempting to observe that past brought forth a sense of fatal danger.

"To merely seek knowledge and encounter such peril… what manner of existence did this man once lead?" she murmured.

Wakanda Palace

In the throne room of Wakanda, Prince T'Challa stood before his father, King T'Chaka.

"Father, the exposure system just sent out a universal warning. That's never happened before. For the sake of safety, I ask permission to observe this revelation."

King T'Chaka chuckled softly but shook his head. "A true king does not flinch in the face of danger, my son. Let the truth come, no matter how terrifying it may be."

Across the globe—and beyond—curiosity reached a fever pitch. Debates raged, theories multiplied, and watchful eyes turned toward the sky.

Then, without warning, the dormant light screen flickered to life.

A massive countdown appeared.

One minute.

That was all the time left before the Past Life Exposure System would unveil James's mysterious previous existence.

Future Technology Building

Within a sleek, futuristic skyscraper that pierced the skyline like a blade of light, a voice echoed within the main control hub.

"Master," the super-intelligent AI named Qin spoke, "Director Nick Fury of SHIELD and Mr. Tony Stark have both sent urgent requests to meet with you. They are awaiting your response."

James stood at the floor-to-ceiling window, hands in his pockets. His expression remained calm, almost indifferent.

"Let them wait," he said softly.

Qin continued, "Also, your friend, Mr. Peter Parker, has arrived at the main entrance."

James raised an eyebrow and allowed a small smile.

"Let him in."

Moments later, the unmistakable figure of Spider-Man—still in his classic red-and-blue suit—flipped into the room with his usual flair.

"DUDE!" Peter exclaimed. "All this time, I thought you were just some cool, approachable tech guy!"

James shrugged nonchalantly. "Correction. Just an ordinary man. I never denied that I had superpowers."

Peter blinked. "Wait... you're saying you do have powers? What kind?"

James smiled slyly. "Super rich."

"Pfft—seriously?" Peter looked like he didn't know whether to laugh or facepalm. Then, more seriously, he added, "Okay, jokes aside—what's with this past life stuff? That system freaked out, James. That's not normal. What if something dangerous is coming?"

James turned his gaze toward the sky, where the countdown ticked ever closer to zero.

"Don't worry," he said with calm certainty. "Everything is under control."

Even as he said it, a flicker of uncertainty glinted in his eyes. After all, James was curious. In his current life, he had mastered technology and influence. But the past life that the system was about to expose… even he wasn't sure how the system would interpret that chaotic nightmare.

It had taken him everything—cunning, sacrifice, and sheer force of will—to survive that world.

Would this new universe survive merely knowing about it?

Finally, the countdown reached its final second.

The light screen erupted in divine brilliance.

And then, a voice—grand, solemn, and echoing across the stars—rang out through every corner of the Marvel world.
