Chapter 2 - 2

Consuming the architectural blueprint, a building materialized before Jason's eyes, standing in stark contrast to the modest wooden house.

The Spartan Training Camp stretched over 200 square meters, its heart a sandy training field measuring more than 100 square meters—perfect for honing the brutal combat skills of the Spartans.

Jason surveyed the camp, and an information panel appeared in his vision.

[Spartan Training Camp (Extraordinary Grade Building)]

[Level: 1]

[Note: Upgrading to Tier 2 requires Tier 2 Beacon, 50 Energy Crystals, 800 units of wood, and 400 units of stone.]

[Function: Five individuals can be trained daily to become extraordinary troops—Spartan Warriors.]

[For every 10 Energy Crystals paid, you can train one additional Spartan warrior!]

[Trained Spartan warriors have a 30% chance of obtaining a sub-profession, a 5% chance of becoming a hero unit, a 1 in 1,000 chance of becoming a king-level unit, and a rare chance of reaching god-level!]

[Spartan warriors in the camp can quickly recover their strength.]

[Note: Units are classified as Warriors, Heroes, Kings, and Gods. Current building level can only train humans up to LV10.]

Jason grinned as he processed the information.

"Extraordinary troops! Spartan warriors!" He marveled. "And they can even become god-level units! This is my ticket to a bright future in Chaos!"

He wondered, though, what their combat prowess might be.

Jason turned his gaze to the ten settlers who had emerged from the huts. They appeared startled by the sudden appearance of the Spartan Training Camp, but soon fell into respectful silence.

"Long live the Lord!"

"The Lord is mighty!"

"The Lord is so handsome!"

Their praises piled on, but Jason quickly grew tired of hearing it.

He opened their information panels one by one.

[Settler No. 1]

[Level: LV1]

[Loyalty: 100 (Unwavering)]

[Potential: Black Iron (Upgradeable to LV9)]

[Basic Occupation: Farmer]

...

Other settlers were listed with similar levels, loyalty, and potential—only their occupations differed: some were gatherers, some chefs, and, surprisingly, one was just labeled as "Lazy."

Jason stared at the lazy one with disbelief. "Someone dares to reject the '996' lifestyle?" he muttered in shock.

But no matter. He would throw them into the Spartan training camp for a proper makeover.

He gave the order, and the lazy settler, along with three farmers and one gatherer, reluctantly walked toward the camp. The lazy one hesitated at first, turning back to compliment Jason three times, but eventually, he was pushed inside.

[Today's training quota is full. Do you want to start training?]

[Yes/No]

"Yes!" Jason confirmed without hesitation.

The forest beyond was teeming with life—flying shadows, roaring beasts, and dangerous monsters gathering on the edges of the territory. Jason's settlement had no weapons or food. If he couldn't go out to gather supplies, starvation or monster attacks would destroy him long before the protection period ended.

The Spartan warriors would be his salvation.

One hour passed in a blur.

The doors of the training camp flew open, and out stepped five powerful, muscular warriors.

They were bare-chested, wearing only white shorts, their bodies honed to perfection and covered in bronzed muscle. Their strength radiated from every step they took.

"Lord!" they shouted in unison, kneeling before Jason.

Jason opened their information panels eagerly.

[Spartan Warrior: Hughes]

[Level: LV1]

[Loyalty: 100 (Unwavering)]

[Potential: Diamond (Upgradeable to LV49)]

[Occupation: Step Warrior]

[Skills: Spartan Combat, Spartan Battle Formation...]

[Sub-occupation: Butcher]

[Motto: Killing an enemy is like killing a pig!]

...

Jason was thrilled by what he saw. These warriors, though still at level 1, had undergone a transformation, their potential upgraded significantly, and they now possessed Spartan combat skills.

He turned his attention to the next warrior.

[Spartan Warrior: Xiu En]Similar stats, with no secondary occupation.

Next were Orr and Oul, pure foot soldiers, but Jason was still excited by their high potential.

Finally, he focused on the last warrior, Dilios, his heart racing.

[Spartan Hero: Dilios (Unique)]

[Level: LV1]

[Loyalty: 100 (Unwavering)]

[Potential: Sanctuary (Upgradeable to LV69)]

[Occupation: Spartan Berserker]

[Skills: Spartan Wrath, Spartan Combat Skills, Spartan Battle Formation...]

[Motto: This is Sparta!]

[Heroic Talent: Spartan warriors led by Dilios gain enhanced strength during battle, losing fear and exhaustion, but slowly lose their minds and become relentless killing machines. Only their kings, gods, or lords can awaken them from their rage.]

Jason's eyes widened with excitement. Dilios was a hero unit—unique and capable of achieving Sanctuary rank when fully developed.

"Five percent chance, and I get him!" Jason marveled. "What a treasure! As expected of an extraordinary training camp!"

Jason briefly considered joining the training himself but was immediately warned by a harsh voice in his mind.

[Entering the training camp will forfeit Lord status. The Lord's potential is unlimited. Please make your decision wisely!]

Jason quickly dismissed the thought. His potential as a Lord was unmatched, and he couldn't afford to give that up.

With limited resources and just 7.2 Energy Crystals left, Jason was desperate to acquire more, especially to upgrade the camp and improve his army.

The thought triggered a system prompt:

[Killing wild monsters, hostile creatures, or enemy Lords can yield Energy Crystals!]

[Devouring an enemy Lord's token can convert a large number of Energy Crystals or upgrade the Beacon!]

Jason smiled grimly. "Looks like it's time to venture out and face the dangers... war with other Lords and gathering resources is my only way forward."

He allowed the Spartans to move freely in the territory while he entered the Lord's hut to browse the Chaos Store for weapons to arm his warriors. The stronger they were, the better his chances for survival.
