"Many, hundreds, no, millions of years ago... Humans weren't even born. It was a vast land, a planet deep in the void of space. Stars shone, and the planet soon to be called "Earth" was just a simple ball in the vast space.
But soon... a God was born. From its body, its presence warped the world.
Time was made, accompanied by...
Space.
The two Gods governed this part of life itself.
But then 8 more Gods were born...
Life and Death...
Beginnings and Ends...
War and Reason...
Sky and Land.
These five Gods made life the way it is, terraforming the planet, and soon... Humans were born.
"Oh, Gods! Please heed our calls and bring us the rain!" They went through a lot despite times of ceaseless flow, yet so fast, yet so slow. The Gods watched, and humans went to war. They brought about peace, developed, cultivated crops, and so much more.
But as many years, hundreds, thousands, even millions or even BILLIONS of years pass by...
The Gods fell into silence.
***
Many years later, so did the rise of the voices of the people.
"Burn him!!!" Many people.
The Witch Hunts.
"PLEASE! He's just a boy! He knows nothing!" Spoke a woman, as people thrust their pitchforks in the air, their torches burned brightly as the night skies were clear yet so dark, and dreading the end of this circus.
"BURN THE WITCH! BURN THE WITCH! BURN THE WITCH!" But the voices shout louder and louder.
Magic was a thing of the past... This being the rise of magic, the world had it, but very few wielded it.
These people are known as "witches". Men or women, no matter the age or standing, are witches in the end.
"M-Mom...!" The boy was scared, as his hair was a deep brown as his mother's, his eyes as blue as the ocean, his mother's a green like the forest.
"Don't worry... Mommy's here." She comforted him, but...
"N-NO!" She shouted as she was grabbed away from the boy,
"BURN THE WITCH! BURN THE WITCH! BURN THE WITCH!" They shout,
"MOMMY!!!!" The boy screamed, squirming as he coughed, his collar being forced against his neck, his feet kicked, trying hard to
"QUIET, WITCH." The villagers ordered, as the boy cried,
"MOMMY!!!" He called for her, crying as he didn't know why this was happening to him.
"..." But the noticeable view of a being, a God, is seen. Many fell silent... But this one...
"Poor child, a victim of such unreasonable antics." Spoke someone, a voice echoing like a siren, yet mysterious with many ages, ranges, and genders into one. Yet one thing was clear...
This God didn't like the unjust treatment.
"To think they don't see behind reason, don't they, Alaric?" Spoke...
"!?!" Alaric's eyes widened, as...
"AUUUUUHHHH!!!!!" Screamed the boy, as a nail was thrust into his palm, blood trickled, and a shine was seen.,
"Silver blood!?!" Everyone was now undeniably about their suspicion,
"M-Mommy..." The boy cried, the pain hurt...
"DON'T HURT HIM! DON'T!!!" She screamed,
"QUIET, SATAN'S LOVER." A man slapped her,
"!?!" Alaric's twisted expression grew horrified at his mother's abuse, he tried to move, but his hands...
"Do you wish to prove them wrong, Alaric?" Spoke this echoing voice,
"..." As the villagers dumped wood around him... Alaric stared blankly, the voices becoming nothing but a silent scream. He stared deeply into the ground...
"Burn him! Burn him!" The villagers rejoice, as a blazing torch is in the hand of another,
"Everyone, men, women, boys, and girls... The village of Souldew! We gather here today... To send this abomination to the claws of the Death God, Uruel!" Shouts the man,
"TO THE DEATH GOD, URUEL!" Shouts the villagers,
"May Uruel... Plunge into the hands of limbo... To face his crimes under the judgment of the Sky God, Talina!" He proclaimed,
"Judgment befall on the witch! Judgment befall on the witch!" The villagers continued,
"..." But Alaric listened closely...
"You always wanted to know the 'reason', right, Alaric? So take my hand... Choosen One." The echoing voice said, as a glowing hand is seen, as Alaric's violated body is seen, but... As if a glowing spirit himself...
"Please... Help me... Whatever you are..." He begged,
"Goodbye, witch." And soon they threw the torch,
"YOU BUTHCERS!!!" The mother screamed, tears flowing down her face, as the body of Alaric floated there... As the fire blazes and burns, consuming the boy...
"NOO!!!!!" She screamed,
"CALABAN!!! PLEASE GIVE THEM REASON!" She begged...
"I am Calaban, the God of Reason." And soon...
"!!!" Everyone is pushed back by a strong gust of wind, the winds causing the fire to blow away, as...
"...glowar's eyes glows a green, a magical essence swirls as he pulls his hands, silver blood spraying.
"Hmph!" The boy suddenly changed,
"W-What in the!?!" Everyone is confused,
"!?!" But some were horrified,
"You... We will all pay!" Screamed the child, as his eyes shone that same green glow,
"T-The witch-!"
"SILENCE, ALL OF YOU ARROGANT FOOLS!" The voice ordered,a s the woman stumbled forward,
"ALARIC!!! Alaric, please... Come back to me!" His mother begged once more, as the boy looked at the woman... But...
"Forgive me, mother." He said, as...
"WOOSH!!!" Gusts of wind picked up, and a violent storm surrounded him... He was...
Possessed.
By an entity- no... By a God.
"WHOMEVER DARES CROSS ME AGAIN, IT WOULD BE OFF WITH YOUR HEADS!?! DO YOU HEAR ME!?!" Alaric screamed, as everyone was terrified, some even runs.
But the ones who witnessed it...
They were left with one warning...
"One year... Whoever dares stay... Will face the wrath of the God of Reason, and divine punishment will be what awaits!" The voice said...
"T-The God of Reason!?!" Everyone didn't-
"!!!" And soon, the winds settled, but the boy disappeared...
Never to be seen again.
***
Many generations have passed since then...
The story shifts to that of a fantasy world, deep in the future, seemingly in the present day.
"The Chosen Ones, Demigods of the once prosperous Gods! When will one come to light!?! When will they grace us with their presence!?!" Spoke to others, as many people clang their glasses and drink from cups, their drinking notable, as sitting there is someone...
A boy by the name of Ashter. The descendant of the Demigod of Reason's mother, he listened to the tales and recalled historical events of the past.
"Ten Gods were born... And therefore ten demigods will take their place... Hm." Many people had the gift of silver blood, the world putting special individuals into their spot to obtain God's powers.
The first demigod, Alaric Lowel, was the first of them all. The Demigod of Reason, when he was about to die, obtained such power over his constant wonders of "why" that he obtained a power known as "magic" or "mana" as of today.
Beforehand, magic was taboo. If you have it, off with your head. If you think about it now, mana isn't such a bad thing, and is now a normal thing in everyday life.
Spells were made because of it, and even if you don't use spells, you can use them to amplify your strength and use special moves utilizing magic.
Adventurers were born because of the need for military power. After all, mana and magic were the natural gifts given to the monsters of the world. Beasts who use magic to terrorize the world, like demons in a sense, when humans started to use it, it became an accomplishment to be able to hunt a dragon, where back then, your bloodline was now cursed by the masses.
"Thank Talina, we don't have so many of their creations..." Ashter sighed, as it was the God of Sky and the God of Earth who made such creatures. Even humans are their creation, with the God of Life giving life to these beings.
Essentially, it was a three-way collaboration.
"Maybe I can get one of the Divine Essence..." Ashter was, after all, a human possessing silver blood.
He has the qualifications, but the Divine Essences are thinning. Especially since it's three of the toughest ones.
The God of War, End, and Death.
Three Gods of Calamity, in a way, these Gods represent the horrors of war, the mystery of the end, and the inevitable death.
Many of the 10 Gods are grouped. Such as the Gods of Creation being the Life, Earth, and Sky Gods.
Then the 4 Gods of Union, Life, Death, End, and Beginnings.
So there's that.
"... Maybe... One day..." Ashter smirked.
"I can claim one of the Divine Essences for myself." He was excited, but until then...
He will train for that kind of power to be his own.
