In the vibrant streets of Lagos where kindness flowed like the market stalls,Sholzzy sat at the small kitchen table in her home staring at yet another rejection letter.At 23,she'd graduated high school with dreams of a bright future but the job market seemed determined to deem her spark.
Sholzzy feels the responsibility to help her family financially especially since her dad became incapacitated due to his stroke,leaving her mother whose earnings from her restaurant is barely enough to feed the family and pay for her husband's medical bills
On a faithful day after toiling around in search for job opportunities Sholzzy comes across a poster of a cleaning job vacancy,she goes into the Establishment to inquire about the vacancy she saw outside,she walks up to the receptionist at the front desk who informs her of an ongoing interview for the position and emplores her to wait at the lobby in order for her to partake in the interview.A few moments later,she is called in for her interview,on her way to to the office one of her heels broke off, this made Sholzzy nervous but she walked in very confidently with one heel and a very charming smile,her confidence caught the eye of one of her interviewer,at the end of the interview she was told that she would be contacted within 24hours if she was picked for the job.Although the interview went well but she was unsure of getting the job due to her previous experiences on rejections over her job applications.Sholzzy heads home with high hopes of getting the job,she tells her friends,Rinza and Wandy about her experience as they eat their dinner,after dinner they all go to sleep. The next morning Sholzzy and her friends wakes up to the loud ring tone of her phone,Sholzzy still in her sleepy voice goes ahead to pick the call up only to hear a female voice asking if she is Sholzzy Deval who had applied for the post of a cleaner at Mardina's hotel and suites the previous day,this question cleared the sleep out of her eyes as she answers immediately with an existing yes,she is told that after some careful review she's been hired as a cleaner in the establishment and she is to resume work the next day at 6:00am sharp,this made her friends so happy for her and celebrate her as they get ready for work.
The next day Sholzzy resumes work at 5:40 in order to be very punctual on her first day.At 6:00 she is shown around the hotel premises by the head cleaner,Mrs.Gigi and is assigned to clean sweat off the gym equipments at the guest gym,she is then given her uniform to change into and begin work with the head cleaner inspecting her,it is as if for some reason Mrs.Gigi hated her.Sholzzy felt so irritated cleaning butt sweats off the gym chairs but she still had to do it anyways
As time goes on Sholzzy began to get a hang of the work and accepted the fact that she was not liked by Mrs.Gigi because she always gave her a hard time.Sholzzy was promoted at work because of her punctual and hard working behavior,she started earning high and was able to take her father to a good hospital, in no time his stroke was cured and he was back on his feet this way Sholzzy didn't have to work so hard and tirelessly
