Chapter 1 - A stormy ride.

Quinn woke up to the C-130 voilently rocking, "Fuck, whats going on." with a gruggy voice. "It looks like a storm kicked up out of nowhere, SFC Quinn." Spc. Williams said. "Man, I was having a good dream, too. Well I am up need to take a piss." Quinn said as he stood up making his way to the shitty pisser in the back end of the plane. It had a crappy maybe two foot wide and three foot long curtin to use as a door. It wouldn't block anything, not that Quinn had anything to be ashamed about. His blonde hair and deep blue eyes, standing at 6 feet 3 inches, weighing 225 lbs of pure, unadulterated badass, he was, along with a manhood that put him at the peak of male hierarchy, gave him all the pride he needed in the looks department.

With his XM7 slung over his back, he didn't know how he would have felt about the new rifle the army was switching to for this deployment, but he found it growing on him as its stopping power was way more than the 5.56 round of the 7.62 round. It's more accurate past 150 yards, too. To him, the 6.8mm round felt like a welcome change after using both the other rounds. As he was shaking his manhood, the C-130 started to shake way more than before. As Quinn was in the back, he heard something pop, only to spin around and see the back door ripped off, pulling him out of the C-130. "FUCK, MY LIFE!" Quinn yelled. Quinn began his 33,000 feet free fall hating himself for taking a piss, only to see light hit something that looked like a glowing purple and white crack in the sky.

"Fuck, it I will die if I hit the ground may as risk it all on whatever the fuck that is." Quinn turned his body into an X and started to control his fall until he was over whatever it was, he closed his eyes praying to whoever would listen until Quinn felt himself submerged in some liquid opening his eyes Quinn began to swim looking for light until he noticed something swimming with all his mighty breaking through the surface and breathing in air. "I am a life, sweet, sexy goddess out there. Thank you for liking me!" Quinn yelled, swimming to the river's edge.

Quinn took off his rifle and vest, putting them on the ground, and lay on his back, breathing, trying to get his head around what had happened."System bonding, please bear with the pain." Quinn heard the voice, but in the next minute, his body started to spasm, and he could feel his muscles tighten like he had just been hit with a taser. His joints cracked, and he could taste blood in his mouth. Quinn didn't know how long it lasted, but it felt like an hour to him. he lay on the ground breathing heavily until he heard the sound of bushes being moved through.

Three ugly green buff-looking humanoids walked out and saw him; they gave a deep roar. Quinn knew they didn't want a handshake, so he rolled to the left and grabbed his M7, aiming from the prone. The three started to charge him, aiming down the sight and pulling the trigger. Hitting the first one in the center of the chest brings him to the ground, and the other two stopped in their tracks looking at the one who went down before I pulled the trigger hitting one in the head dropping him as the last one turned to run I shot him at the base of the back of it's skull killing it.

"The Host has leveled up for the first time and has been rewarded with an Ammo resupply building."

"What are you? You said something about a system." I said.

"Yes, host, I am your Conqueror's system," it replied robotically.

"You said I got an Ammo resupply building? What do you mean by that, and how does that help me right now?" I asked, annoyed, picking myself off the ground and taking my wet clothes off before picking up some branches, as it started to talk to me again.

"Host can call military Units and equipment from his own world to make his army. The resupply building lets the Host resupply all his forces once a day with the ammo they have lost during the day. But to do it, the Host must start by building a C.O.P as his first line base. Host's bases can all be upgraded and can build the same building as each other. A shop for blueprints will open once Host hits level ten; all blueprints will be saved after learning them, so Host won't need to repurchase them." It gave me all I need to know right now, for the most part.

"So, it's more like a base-building system in a video game than a power-leveling system," I asked, and it replied. "Affirmative."  Where can I build my C.O.B. or other bases? I asked it to ensure I didn't have a set place to do it.

"Anywhere that has room for it."  So as long as the area is clear, I can build on it. Looking around, I was lying in an area with about a five-acre opening, and on the other side of the river was a vast open plain. If I expand, I can push that way.. This was perfect for a C.O.P., as those only granted, I would only get about a company-sized element for a C.O.P. at best, but that's more than I need for now. I waited for my uniform to dry, as this was the only one I had on, and I had lit a fire to help it dry.

"System, how do I build the C.O.B.?" I asked as my clothes had dried and I was putting them on.

"Say system panel, and it will pull up a map letting you see everything. The map lets you keep track of base inventory, track your units, and pull up their status, so please remember that it's important. Once you pick the desired area, you can make a shape in which you want to build the base and select Build. Once you build it, you can pick a unit to man it. Every base you build lets you pick a unit. But remember you can only pick units once a day at your level unless you are upgrading a base, this means you will only be able to build one C.O.B a day and for every ten levels you gain can upgrade a C.o.B as for Forts you have to reach level 100 for that to open up." It finished speaking.

I looked at the map, picked about half the area, and stopped about 25 meters away from the river, as I looked at it, making it like an arrowhead, then smiled—pressed Build. The area started to shine brightly as I looked at it.

"Please pick a name for your C.O.B."

"New Rome," I said as I looked at how many people it could hold—250, a good-sized company element. "Summon A Company 1/75th Ranger Regiment," I said. After all, what better unit than we Rangers if I step out into this world? After all, Rangers Lead the Way.
