Chapter 2 - hmm…

### **Flashback:**

When I was a kid here, I managed to get my hands on a piece of charcoal and some old cotton bark. (*Seems like it's really the Middle Ages—paper and writing tools are rare as hell.*)

The reason I scavenged those items? I wanted to **write down** everything I could remember about this shitty novel.

### **Power Ranks:**

#### **Knights:**

1. **Squire** – An assistant to a knight, usually young lords or sword prodigies in training.

2. **Wandering Knight** – Anointed by a royal lord or their mentor. Their honor peaks if they serve under someone prestigious but fades if their liege falls from grace.

3. **Landed Knight / Clan Knight** – Granted land by a lord, liege lord, or royal family for strength, loyalty, or prestige.

4. **Knight of an Order** – The strongest, most loyal to their liege or theocracy.

(Knight orders can be ranked by 1st class second and third) the lowest third class could only tack on a 5 th rank might class beast while just one rank above could deafest a storm class threat and only dust class orders are give th information on threats above 3rd class)

**knight Order Hierarchy:**

1. Grand Commander / Marshal

2. Vice-Commanders

3. Legion Commander (*only in large orders*)

4. Knight Squad Leader

5. Squad Members

(*That's all I remember for knights—I only read ~70 chapters. Mages exist, but they're irrelevant until later.*)

#### **Nobles:**

1. **Royals** – Pure-blooded main family.

2. **King's Kin** – Those who share blood with the monarch.

3. **Grand Dukes** – Families just below royalty; their heads speak to the king as near-equals./Leige lords

4. **Dukes** – Deep ties to the crown. Even princes/princesses address them formally.

5. **Marquises / Jarls / Earls** – High nobles with political pull.

6. **Counts** – Respected families with moderate influence.

7. **Viscounts** – Outer nobles, practically servants to higher ranks.

8. **Barons / Baronets** – Lowest nobility. Baronets aren't hereditary. Almost no power—even their authority over subordinates is regulated by wandering knights.

9. **Landed Knights** – Influence varies wildly; some rival royals, others rank below baronets.

### **Other Tidbits:**

- The **meteor sword** was a **Ranked Treasure** (third-highest tier in this world).

- Sword techniques have rankings, but I don't recall specifics.

- **Monster Ranks:**

 1. ?

 2. ?

 3. Storm

 4. Collapse

 5. Might

 6. Grand Beast

 7. Greater Beast

 8. Lesser Beast

(*That's all I've got. City names? Neighboring kingdoms? Races? Stop being greedy—my memory's tapped out.*)
