Wes Walker is your typical 17-year-old high schooler—an otaku, a hardcore shooting game addict, a food lover, and a surprisingly popular goofball with a heart of gold. Alongside his childhood friend (a classic tsundere), he’s on a school trip, gaming on his handheld console when tragedy strikes—a devastating bus accident that ends their lives in an instant. But death isn’t the end. Wes and his classmates awaken in the domain of a beautiful goddess who offers them a second chance at life... in a fantasy world. Each student gets to choose their class: warrior, mage, priest, rogue—you name it. One class, however, is left untouched: Magic Gunslinger. Wes’s eyes light up. Twin spirit-bound revolvers? Full elemental affinity? Yes, please. And just like that, Wes Walker is reborn into a new world, revolvers in hand and a grin on his face. Thrown into a breathtaking forest, Wes’s journey begins—action, comedy, and chaos guaranteed. He quickly earns a reputation as a battle-hungry, cold-blooded marksman when the fight’s on... but off the battlefield? He’s a hopeless romantic, a walking disaster magnet, and a guy who can’t help but attract trouble—and girls. From rescuing enslaved princesses, slaying dragons, and battling demon lords, to clashing with corrupt nobles, insane cults, and literal gods—Wes’s legend grows with every bullet fired and every bond formed. As he builds his harem of unique and powerful women from different races and kingdoms, starts his own elite adventuring party, and dives headfirst into political chaos (including one or two unexpected royal engagements), the world starts to remember the name: Wes Walker, the Magic Gunslinger. Part comedy, part romance, all-out action—this is the story of how one goofy, kind-hearted antihero becomes a legendary name in another world’s history. Whether it’s facing down monsters or cracking jokes mid-battle, Wes is ready to shoot his way through whatever this world throws at him.

Chapter 1 - Game Over... Or Is It?

Somewhere on the world called Earth, a bus cruised through the streets, filled with the chatter and laughter of students. It was a school trip, buzzing with excitement. Kids were talking, joking, singing, and teachers were trying (and failing) to keep the volume down.

In the middle of all the noise, one teen was entirely absorbed in his handheld console. Black raven hair fell over his intense amber-gold eyes as his fingers danced across the buttons. This was Wes Walker, your typical 17-year-old high schooler—an otaku, a hardcore shooting game addict, a food lover, and a surprisingly popular goofball with a heart of gold.

"BOOM! Headshot! Ohhh! You can't stop me, bro! I'm the god of this game! This boss? Dead. These goons? Toast!" Wes shouted, practically vibrating with energy.

"Eat laser, you ugly spawn of polygon nightmares! YEAH! That's right, kneel before my thumb reflexes!" he laughed like a maniac, holding the console up like it was a trophy. "Level cleared! Bonus points! Flawless victory! WOOH!"

He started narrating his gameplay like a commentator. "Wes Walker, also known as 'Pixel Punisher,' enters the digital battlefield with only one goal—dominate! Look at this noob! Missed me with that weak attack! BAM! Took your head off in 2.5 seconds flat! Ladies and gentlemen, this is what greatness looks like!"

A few students looked over, annoyed or confused.

Wes didn't care.

"I am unstoppable. I'm untouchable. I am—OH SNAP! MINI-BOSS! YOU THINK YOU SCARE ME?! I EAT MINI-BOSSES FOR BREAKFAST!" He let out a victory whoop and laughed harder. "This is better than every anime season finale combined. HYPE!"

"Double kill! Triple kill! Ultra combo! HYPER GOD MODE ENGAGED!"

And then—THWACK!

Something smacked him on the top of his head.

"OWWW!" Wes yelled dramatically, holding his head. "Why?! My brain! I need that! Who dares strike down a legend in his prime?!"

He turned and saw her—Aiko Tsukino. Shoulder-length chestnut hair tied into a ponytail with soft pink highlights, and sharp violet eyes that glared at him with classic tsundere intensity. She was beautiful, clearly annoyed, and as always, trying very hard not to show she cared way too much.

"What was that for, Aiko!?"

"You were yelling like an idiot again! Some of us don't want to hear your dumb gaming monologue at full volume," she snapped, cheeks slightly flushed.

"Gaming monologue? Excuse me, I was narrating an epic tale of pixelated warfare. There's a difference." Wes rubbed his head dramatically. "You monster…! My precious neurons! I might've lost ten IQ points!"

Aiko crossed her arms. "It's a miracle you had ten to lose."

"Ohhh, low blow! My heart!" Wes clutched his chest. "How could you say such cruel things to your oldest friend?!"

"Because my oldest friend is acting like a loud, ridiculous child on a moving vehicle full of people."

"That's what makes it fun!" Wes grinned. "Come on, Aiko, admit it. You missed this."

"I missed peace and quiet. I missed sanity. You? You're like living in a 24/7 anime filler episode."

"You wound me with truth. But also, that sounds amazing. I'd totally binge me."

Aiko tried to fight her smirk but failed. "You're so full of yourself."

"Confidence is key, my tsundere sidekick."

"Sidekick?! You wish. If anything, I'm the protagonist who puts up with the idiotic comic relief character."

Wes gasped. "Oof! She strikes again! Somebody get me a bandage for my ego!"

"You're impossible," she muttered.

"And yet you sit next to me every trip."

"Only because if I don't, you'll talk even louder to everyone else."

Wes grinned wide. "Exactly. You secretly love this."

"I secretly tolerate it," she replied, though her flushed cheeks told a different story.

Around them, the rest of the students had their own reactions:

Riku Takeda, tall and lean with a scar over his right brow, looked out the window, calm and collected. "Tch. Too loud. He's still weak."

Haruna Mizuki adjusted her round glasses, flipping a page in her book. "He really should lower his voice. It could disturb the group dynamic."

Daichi Sato laughed loudly. "Haha! Wes got clapped! Classic!" His missing front tooth made his grin even goofier.

Mei Kurusu blinked slowly. "...They're fun to watch. Like cats." Her golden eyes sparkled just a bit.

Kenji Yamamoto rolled his eyes. "He's going to get himself killed. Strategically inefficient behavior."

Yui Amane giggled. "Wes is just being Wes! He's so cute when he panics~"

Then came the voice of authority: Miss Reina Hanekawa, their beautiful and intimidating teacher. "Alright, lovebirds. Sit down and chill out. Don't make me separate you."

Wes and Aiko both snapped to attention. "Yes, Miss Hanekawa!"

Wes mumbled under his breath. "Still a monster…"

Flick!

"OW—AGAIN?! I HAVE RIGHTS!"

"Idiot," Aiko said again, smirking.

Wes returned to his game. "You know what? I'll let you live. Only because I'm saving my strength for this boss fight."

Aiko leaned back in her seat, rolling her eyes. "You're such a dork."

"And proud of it."

For a moment, everything was peaceful.

Until the bus suddenly swerved.

Tires screeched. Students screamed. The bus lurched hard to the left.

"What the hell?!" Wes shouted.

"Brace yourselves!" Miss Hanekawa yelled, grabbing onto a rail.

Aiko clutched Wes's arm. "What's going on?! Are we crashing?!"

Wes's heart raced. "This is it! This is how I die! I didn't even finish my game!"

The world spun. The bus skidded. Then—it went over the cliff.

Wes's last thought before blacking out: Of all the ways to go, I didn't think it'd be on a school bus... with my face stuck in my console...

Darkness.

...

A few minutes later, light seeped in. Wes groaned.

"Shouldn't I be dead? Why am I… still alive?" he whispered, blinking.

Then, a voice—calm, elegant, and oddly warm: "Welcome, Wes Walker… to my dimension."

Wes sat up fast, heart pounding. "What the—?!"

He turned and saw a stunning woman sitting on a chair, sipping tea like she had all the time in the world.

Wes blinked several times, still trying to comprehend what just happened. One moment, he was on a bus, yelling about pixelated monsters and dodging tsundere flicks. The next? He was somewhere completely different.

His amber-gold eyes widened as he stared at the woman in front of him—no, being. She was impossibly beautiful.

She had ethereal silver hair that shimmered like starlight, flowing endlessly down her back. Her eyes glowed like twin galaxies, constantly shifting with colors he didn't even have names for. She wore elegant, flowing robes that seemed woven from moonlight and silk, and behind her floated a radiant, magic circle-like ring that gave off a soft divine glow.

And yet, she smiled like she'd known him forever. There was something warm, patient, and powerful about her—like a big sister crossed with a celestial empress. Graceful, divine… but her smile hinted at just enough sass to be dangerous.

Wes finally spoke, eyes still huge. "W-who are you? Where am I? Where are my friends?"

The woman giggled—melodic, teasing, yet calming. "Calm down, Wes Walker. Sit down first."

She snapped her fingers.

POOF!

A chair appeared out of nowhere at the opposite end of the crystal-like table she sat at.

Wes's jaw dropped. He blinked hard.

Okay, what the actual heck?! That chair just spawned outta thin air! What is this—an RPG cutscene? Is she like... a goddess? Witch queen? Galactic waifu boss?

He stared at her. She looked unfazed, sipping what looked like tea from a floating cup.

She giggled again. "Are you scared?"

"N-no! Not scared!" Wes stuttered, his voice cracking slightly. "Just... processing, that's all."

He shuffled toward the chair like it might bite him, then sat, still stiff as a board.

She leaned forward slightly, her eyes soft. "Hello, Wes Walker. My name is Goddess Elthearia, the Light of Worlds. And I brought you here for a second chance at life."

Wes's eyes went wide again. "Second... chance...?"

He was stunned. His thoughts raced.

Second chance? Does she mean... I'm dead? Like actually dead? That bus crash wasn't just a dream? Wait, if I'm here, where are the others? Where's Aiko? Riku? Haruna? Daichi? Everyone?

He looked at her, swallowing hard. "Why me? Where are my friends?"

Elthearia's expression was calm, almost motherly. "I brought you here because I sensed something unique inside you—something even you haven't realized. As for your friends, they're safe. They've already been sent to another world. They've chosen their skills and powers."

Wes's heart dropped.

They're already there? They've got powers? They're leveling up without me?! Are they okay? What if they're in danger and I'm stuck here playing catch-up? And what unique thing is she talking about?!

As if hearing his inner panic, Elthearia smiled softly. "Now it's your turn. You get to choose your class."

She clicked her fingers.

DING!

A glowing screen popped up in front of him.

Wes leaned back, shielding his face slightly. "Okay, whoa. Personal space. Magic UI in my face."

He glanced at it, expecting a list… but saw only one.

"Is… is this the only option?" he asked.

"Yes," Elthearia nodded, clearly amused. "Your friends chose theirs. You're the last one. And this is the last class."

Wes gave her a deadpan look.

Seriously?! One class left? That's like being last in line at the buffet and getting the sad scraps. I bet it's something lame like 'Bard Who Can Only Play Triangle.'

Elthearia laughed, reading his face. "Why don't you actually look at the class before making assumptions?"

He exhaled dramatically. "Fine, fine."

He leaned in to read the screen.

CLASS: MAGIC GUNSLINGER

Wes froze. Then blinked. Then grinned.

"Wait. Wait wait wait. Magic. Gunslinger?!" His eyes sparkled. "Oh, this is so my vibe. This is literally anime-meets-Call-of-Duty-meets-wizardry. YES."

He slammed the [ACCEPT] button with dramatic flair.

The screen burst into radiant light, energy flooding into him. Wes gasped, arching slightly in the chair as the class bonded with his soul. His veins felt like they lit up. Arcane power merged with instinct. Guns. Magic. Reflexes. Precision.

Another screen floated up.

Elthearia watched with a proud smile. "There it is… The Magic Gunslinger. A rare class. Powerful, versatile… chaotic. It suits you perfectly."

Wes let out a shaky breath. "I feel like someone just uploaded skills straight into my brain… like I just got the DLC expansion for being awesome."

Suddenly, another screen appeared, and Wes's eyes widened again.

This is real. This is actually happening. I've got a class. A real class. Powers, magic… This isn't a dream… this is an isekai!

Just when Wes thought the surprises were done, another screen shimmered into existence before him, glowing softly with divine light. It was different—more complex, ornate like a floating crystal tablet of ancient magic and advanced tech.

He squinted, reading aloud in awe.

Wes leaned back with a dazed grin. "Okay… okay. I am officially the coolest person I know. Elemental magic? Magic gun skills? I have unique skills, plural! This is nuts—in the best way!"

His mind raced.

Lightning, fire, and wind? Plus water, ice, earth, darkness, light, and nature?! That's like having the entire elemental buffet! 'Bullet Weave'? 'Final Order'? This is peak anime protagonist energy.

Goddess Elthearia chuckled softly. "You're taking this rather well."

"Honestly, I've dreamed of this my entire life. I'm probably more emotionally prepared for this than for real school finals," Wes said, eyes still glued to the floating screen.

Then Elthearia raised her hand and snapped her fingers once more.

FWOOOSH.

Twin lights of silver and obsidian shimmered into the air in front of Wes. They formed into two sleek revolvers—beautiful, deadly, and otherworldly. Black and silver steel with glowing inscriptions along the barrels, gently pulsing with energy.

Wes reached out instinctively and grasped them.

The moment his fingers wrapped around the grips, a surge of warmth and power rushed into him. It wasn't just physical—it was spiritual.

He could feel the weapons.

Like they were alive.

"Elthearia…" Wes whispered. "These feel… like they're part of me."

She nodded gracefully. "Those are the Twin Spirit-Bound Revolvers—forged in the heart of starlight and shadow. Their names are Iris and Selene."

Wes's grin returned full-force. "Those are the coolest names I've ever heard. Like, hands down. This is next-level."

Elthearia smiled with pride. "They will grow with you. As you grow stronger, so will they. And someday, the spirits inside them will awaken… and reveal themselves."

Wes blinked, nodding slowly, his voice soft. "So I'm not just a gunslinger... I'm bonded to these weapons. They're alive. We're gonna evolve together."

He looked at the revolvers again—Arclight humming with electric energy, and Nocturne radiating a soft, eerie coolness.

Yeah, he thought. This is gonna be one hell of a ride.

To be continued...
