When I was a child, my local priest once told me.
"Do not fear of God's punishment, Lukas. Even in His anger, there is love, even in His punishment, there is a gift, even in death... there is life"
A god who offers love as much as hate? maybe that's why I never understand how can be someone loyal to a god when he doesn't purely loves His creations.
I realised I fell to my toughts... what I was doing?
"Lukas, get up!"
I realized... I killed someone.
"Lukas!"
I looked up to William with my eyes shot open and said
"William?"
William picked me up I could see his fear and confusion
"We need to get the fuck out of here... I do- I don't know what the fuck..! is happening but we need to get out and tell this to others"
I looked around I saw Morela and Vilnius on the ground, both dead hopefully.
I looked at her, the little girl I considered as my little sister now brutally killed.
After looking at both dead bodies for another second I opened the door and we start walking. I never realized how silent the town is today like everyone is, dead.
"William, we need to go to Anna's place now! Sander said they would be there"
William nodded and we started to run to Anna's pizzeria
I had only one thing on my mind while running to Pizzeria, what did just happened?
Are we in end of times? or did we just saw a very rare cannibalistic moment? for a reason a part of me says it's more then that.
After fourty minutes we arrived at the place, we opened the place but saw no one inside
I pulled my gun and yelled
"This is Police, we are looking for our friends for a crime scene"
There was only one woman who was drinking something.
For a reason the woman was very tall it was like more then seven feet, she looked at us and waved.
"Good luck officers, I saw one of cop on the second floor it might be one of your friend?"
We were confused but William grabbed me by the arm and said .
"I don't know who that woman is but we need to go to upstairs now there is no sign of them here!"
I nodded and we started to climb up the stairs.
Before we climb the second floor I saw how William looked emotional, I realized now that he also had to kill Velnius who was his friend before all of this. Is he alright? should I ask him? will I ever get the chance to ask him?
We get up to second floor and every table was empty but one was full with tons of people trying to sit on it some standing at the side.
I aimed at my gun to them and yelled
"Police! show me your hands all of you"
After I shouted all the people looked back and hold their hands up but for some reason they still hide the table.
It was too suspicious so I yelled at them again
"What are you guys hiding? if its a gun I will not hesitate to shoot all of you!"
before I could continue William pulled one of them to aside and we both saw...
Our fear and concerns were true, the entire town went crazy, and our proof was literally in front of us...
It's Sander's lifeless body, his entire body looked like it exploded? the only way for us to confirm it's him is that his badge and his uniform is barely there.
What happened to him? before we could realize one of them tried to bite me.
William pulled me back then me and William pulled our guns and started to shoot everyone on sight.
At that moment we lost what made us human, we lost our ability to think. We emptied all of our clips out of fear.
After that we both saw all of the people there are now dead, now we are no longer just two cop who killed someone but multiple people
We barely get up and get out.
When we get to the first floor the tall woman was gone, we realized she set us for a trap.
"I knew something was off with her" I said to myself
Then William gasped, I looked at William and said "What happened?"
His hands were shaking and he showed me
Someone's eye was standing there but for some reason it looked like it got... sucked?
I grabbed William, and said
"Let's get out William or we will be the ones who get hunted"
William nodded and when we get out of the store we saw Evelina's car.
We saw Evelina step out of the car and hugged me.
William looked at Evelina and yelled
"Why you all left Sander's there Evelina? What happened..? Sander... he-"
Before I could ask anything, William asked it first.
Evelina looked down and replied.
"I will explain everything"
