Chapter 1 - Chapter 1: The Dream of the Beginning

It was just an ordinary, peaceful day at home. I had just finished eating and, following my mom's instructions, decided to head to the nearby town to buy a few things. As I walked, the cool breeze filled me with energy. Once I arrived, I got everything I needed and returned home.

When I got back, I noticed my phone was vibrating constantly. Curious, I opened my social media apps and was met with an endless stream of alarming posts. A mysterious being had attacked a country in the south. Intrigued, I searched for more information about the event.

As I browsed through the news, I came across several videos showing chaos and confusion. Yet, something stood out: no one had managed to record the being responsible for all this mayhem. Instead, witnesses described a figure that looked human, but there was clearly something strange about it.

The being wore a beige trench coat and denim jeans. Its long, brown hair flowed with the wind, giving it a mysterious presence. As I watched the videos, I couldn't help but think it looked like a character from an anime or a video game—like someone who had stepped out of a fantasy story. My mind filled with questions. Who was this being? What did it want? The mix of fear and fascination made me feel as if reality itself was shifting into something extraordinary.

After some quiet time in my room, enjoying the calm, I got up and headed to the kitchen for a glass of water. Then, I went to my grandparents' room, where they asked me to go to the nearby store to pick up a few things.

As I stepped out of the house, fate had something unexpected in store. I crossed paths with Gissel—the girl I had liked for a long time. Every time I saw her, I felt my shyness take over. I usually looked away or even changed direction. But today, my heart was pounding. I remembered her name and how sweet it sounded when spoken. Gissel. A beautiful name, forever etched in my memory.

After that unexpected encounter, I went to the store, bought what I was asked, returned home, and handed everything to my grandparents. Then I went back to my room, turned on the console, and lost myself in the world of video games. The excitement of playing made me forget reality for a while, and I was completely immersed in my digital adventures—until I looked out the window and noticed that night had already fallen.

I turned off my phone, feeling the fatigue of a long day, and slowly drifted into sleep. However, what happened next was completely unexpected. While I slept deeply, a vivid dream took over. I found myself standing before an imposing figure—a tall and enigmatic being whose face was surrounded by glowing light.

At first, I thought it might be God. Overcome with emotion, I said, "Finally, you've come to take me from this life. I want to live in that world with elves, mages, kingdoms, and adventurer guilds—a medieval fantasy world." The desire to escape my daily routine filled me with hope, and the image of that ideal world took shape clearly in my mind.

The being tilted its head slightly and, with a deep and resonant voice, said:

"I am not God, but a messenger of my lord and father. I've come to you because you have an important mission to fulfill in this life, and you must be ready."

His words echoed in my mind, but I was filled with confusion. "What is this mission about?" I asked, trying to grasp the weight of what he was telling me.

Calmly, the messenger replied:

"You are going to receive a fragment of divine power. God has chosen to grant you part of His essence, because the situation in your world is critical."

His words intrigued me even more, but my confusion only grew.

"Why me? Why not someone else? If God has such power, why doesn't He just destroy the problem humanity is facing?"

The being took a deep breath before answering.

"He cannot interfere directly in human affairs. They are not yet ready to understand the true magnitude of my lord. He has been observing the universes, realities, planets, and solar systems. His duty is to watch over all that exists beyond this world—including other dimensions."

His words stirred a mix of awe and wonder in me. The idea that there was so much more to the universe than I ever imagined—that other worlds and dimensions existed alongside mine—filled me with excitement. Yet, the responsibility of the mission made me feel small and insignificant.

"And what is expected of me?" I asked, sensing that I was about to embark on an adventure that would change my life forever.

"You must learn to control the power you'll receive and use it to face the threats that are coming. Darkness is rising, and only those willing to fight will be able to save their world. Soon, you will understand why you've been chosen to carry my father's power. Good luck."

As I listened to the messenger, a fire of determination ignited within me. Even though I still had many questions and fears, I knew I had to prepare for what was coming. This was a chance few would ever have, and I was determined not to waste it.

When I opened my eyes, I realized that even though I had been sleeping, I felt exhausted. It was strange, but I had no time to dwell on it. I got up and headed to the kitchen.

Once there, I made myself a coffee and grabbed a sweet pastry, savoring each bite as the warmth of the coffee helped wake me up. After breakfast, I decided to help my grandmother with the housework. Once I was done, I changed clothes, still feeling uneasy about the dream I had. Before leaving the house, I told my grandma I was going out for a walk. With her kind voice, she gave me her blessing and reminded me to be careful.

Hearing her words brought the dream rushing back to my mind. I didn't waste a second. I went to a quiet spot in the neighborhood—a small park I often visited to clear my head. On the way there, I couldn't stop thinking about the mission I'd been given and the power I was supposed to receive.

When I got to the park, I sat on a bench and decided to meditate, hoping to connect with what I had experienced in the dream. I closed my eyes and tried to focus. A deep calm surrounded me, and I felt a familiar energy flowing through me. As I sank deeper into meditation, I noticed a white aura beginning to emerge from my body—just like in the anime I used to watch as a kid.

At first, I was nervous. But the aura felt warm and friendly, and my body became lighter. I decided to test my reflexes, throwing punches into the air, and realized they were much faster than I had ever imagined. Still, I was alone—there was no one around to witness what I had achieved.

With a growing sense of power within me, I wanted to release some of the energy I had built up. Focusing hard, I let out a powerful shout that echoed through the air as the white aura shot up into the sky. My mind was fully focused on letting that power out—and when I finally did, the white light continued shining brightly.

To my surprise, I felt something had changed inside me. My senses had heightened. I no longer had just five senses—I had seven. With these new senses, I could perceive and control my body's energy, allowing me to hide it or activate it at will. However, the final sense remained a mystery. I didn't know how to use it, but I had a feeling it would be important in battle.

Excitement and uncertainty filled my soul. What did these new powers mean? Was I truly ready for the mission ahead?
