Chapter 3 - Chapter 3: A Single Move, and the Yukinoshita Sisters Are Shaken!

"Oh?"

Being doubted again? Are they really mistaking me for some professional con artist?

Luo Shu raised an eyebrow, watching them with interest. Instantly, the silver ripple interface appeared before his eyes.

So it's the Yukinoshita sisters.

Luo Shu rested his chin on his hand, lost in thought. He was fairly familiar with the sisters—enough to handle them.

Smiling with a hint of mischief, he was just about to speak—when suddenly, a delicate hand grasped his palm. It trembled ever so slightly with emotion.

The unexpected gesture made Luo Shu freeze—and even the Yukinoshitas stopped in their tracks.

"Mage… thank you for earlier. I didn't bring much money with me today, but please, take this."

The girl with the six-pointed star eyes looked sincerely grateful, a hint of lingering fear flickering in her gaze.

She stuffed a wad of green bills—over a dozen of them—into Luo Shu's hands.

Then she bowed deeply to him, several times in a row.

She'd almost ended up living a lifetime of regret.

"Mage, my manager's calling me back… can I get your contact info?"

The girl smiled excitedly, already pulling out her phone.

"Maybe next time."

Luo Shu smiled helplessly. He didn't even have a phone that worked in this world.

"Alright then! See you next time, Mage!"

"If you're ever curious, check me out on Twitter! I'm an idol, after all~"

She didn't seem discouraged, her face radiant with energy as she gave a playful wave.

Then she turned and ran toward the city center—duty called.

That one interaction alone had earned him more than a full gem.

Luo Shu glanced down at the Japanese yen in his hand.

Seventeen thousand yen.

In under five minutes.

Being a fake prophet was insanely profitable!

At least now lunch was covered.

Having wrapped up matters with Ai, Luo Shu turned his gaze back toward the crowd—more specifically, the black-haired beauty standing among them.

"Miss Yukinoshita. Do you have a question for me?"

Whoosh!

Instantly, all eyes shifted toward the Yukinoshita sisters—curious, intrigued.

He'd just casually called her by name again.

This didn't feel staged at all.

"Impressive,"

Yukinoshita Haruno thought, eyes narrowing as she studied the elegant mage in white.

She'd originally assumed he was some shady fraud using a professional actress to scam people.

But now she wasn't so sure.

He'd actually called out her surname.

If it hadn't been her in this moment, she would've thought she was the planted accomplice.

Still, years of social grace kept her composed. Smiling elegantly, she wagged a finger.

"I'm not asking for myself… I'm asking for her."

She motioned gracefully to the flat-chested girl beside her, whose expression remained calm and unreadable.

"Miss Yukino, is it?"

Luo Shu's eyes drifted toward the younger sister.

The moment her name slipped from his lips, Yukino's eyes widened sharply.

It made sense to know her sister, who often appeared in the public eye…

But her? She was just an ordinary student. How could he possibly know?

The crowd waited with bated breath as Luo Shu paused, then spoke with a serene smile:

"Miss Yukino shouldn't travel much in the near future. An omen of bloodshed hangs over you."

"Mage, I don't know how you know our names."

Haruno's smile faded, her brows drawing slightly together. Her voice took on a faint chill.

"But that's not something to joke about."

The atmosphere instantly turned stiff. Even the onlookers fell silent.

Called it. Overprotective little sister mode, activated.

Luo Shu snarked to himself.

"I wouldn't joke about something like this."

He responded calmly, relaxed as ever, meeting the glare of the dark-haired girl without flinching.

"Yukinoshita Haruno. Born July 7th. Your father is a prefectural councilman."

In the crowd's quiet hush, Haruno's lips curved into a smirk.

Yukinoshita was a well-known family. Anyone with a little effort could dig up public info like that.

But then…

Luo Shu continued—and shattered her composure.

"Your hobbies include horseback riding, reading, and travel. You're excellent at household chores, a top performer academically, and you practice Aikido. Your favorite coffee is Guatemala, and your representative animal is a lion."

"Your personal motto is: 'Stand like a peony, sit like a tree peony, walk like a lily.'"

Luo Shu recited the panel info with practiced ease.

Then, with a calm smile—he played his trump card.

"You act like you don't care about your sister, but in truth you're totally obsessed with her. You even—"

"Wait!!"

Haruno panicked, eyes wide, lunging forward to stop him.

If this guy kept going, he'd be exposing all her secrets!

The bystanders were stunned.

This… was too real.

"Mage, I'd like to ask—"

Someone was just about to speak when—

"Mage!"

Haruno bit her lip, visibly tense.

"Is there anything I can do to help my sister avoid this bloodshed?"

She'd caved.

This mysterious mage in a white robe had just nearly exposed her deepest secrets.

Who the hell could perform a reading so accurate it included personality quirks, habits, family history, and even… that kind of private stuff?

It was insane.

She still wasn't entirely sure about the bloodshed omen…

But if anything did happen to Yukino—she'd never forgive herself.
