In a posh bar, an unreasonably beautiful woman in a red-black office dress and pencil-cut skirt stands in front of the equally handsome man as she says in a guilty tone.
Her slender hands were stretched forward, respectfully handing a signed check of 100 million UC to the said man.
"Just take the money, You two are incompatible why are you holding her ba-"
"This is a matter between him and me, Stop running your mouth where it doesn't belong."
A rugged man with barely above average looks yet somehow having an unexplainable attractive aura standing next to that woman open his mouth to say or rather taunt the handsome man.
But before he even completes his sentence, A cold, alienated voice reverberates in the bar, cutting off the rugged man mid-sentence.
This tone is completely opposite of what this woman used for the handsome man.
"Bu-....*Grit* sorry."
The rugged man, of course, saw the discrepancy and nearly blew up in rage. He wanted to throw hands, but then, remembering the personality of this woman, He decided to shut his mouth and mutter an apology, too.
As he knew, if he didn't do that, The woman would not say it, but she would definitely remember, and then it would be too hard for him to take this woman down.
'You just wait; when I make you mine, I will make you pay a hundredfold of today's shame. See if I do not make you scream my name all night, I would not be a man.'
A rugged man appeared to be apologizing, but in his mind, he was cursing the woman and imagining how he would take revenge on her.
The woman, however, seeing him acting like this, did not pursue the matter any further; she once again shifted her gaze to the handsome man.
'Oh come on, Lash out quickly so I can beat you to wash off my shame.'
The rugged man also shifted his gaze towards the handsome man, Who was standing in front of them, petrified, not doing anything as if he was in shock.
Seeing this the rugged man couldn't help but grin wide as he knew with the personality of this man, He was not gonna handle his childhood sweetheart coming with another man to break off their engagement well at all.
He would definitely curse her and whatnot, saying what he shouldn't say in the rage, Which would also wash off all good feelings this woman has for him and then he can let loose and beat this prodigal son.
'What's going on? Where the fuck am I? and who is she?'
The handsome man, however, was indeed in shock as he was very confused about the events unfolding.
He before was typing negative reviews on the Xiao Bai novels as he was no longer able to enjoy them as atleast before, protagonists had below-average IQs, but nowadays, they have non-existential IQs, and shit just falls out of the sky to move the plot forward.
He still might have enjoyed it by reading it while shutting off his brain, but he can't get over how strong the plot armor in them is.
Villains plan meticulously to trap and kill the protagonist, spend so much money and manpower just for the protagonist to get lucky and not only survive the trap but even get stronger and gain new women for some reason.
He even accepted this happening but this just rinsed and repeated over and over again till the end.
And there is also no in-plot reason for the protagonist being that lucky; the Protagonist is lucky just because, making the whole plot worthless as they do not even make it invincible flow.
There is always a threat to the protagonist's life; however, everyone knows that it was there just for show as there is no way in hell he would ever be in danger, and yet authors do it.
No matter how hard he tries to shut off his brain and ignore it, Such blatant disrespect to the reader's IQ made him go ape shit and start ranting on the review section, He does not even spare those dog-blood FL romance novels, doing Alpha-Beat shit.
After doing that, He calmed down, closed the app, and went to sleep just for him to wake up to this.
"....Max, is this not enough? Tell me your price for breaking off the engagement; I will pay."
While Max was still figuring it out, The beautiful woman frowned as her hands holding check trembled a little, but she bit her lower lip as once again spoke to her in the same guilty tone; however, now there was a touch of coldness unconsciously appeared.
"Max Yo-"
*Stare*
The rugged man next to the woman was becoming antsy to release his shame but this guy didn't move at all, not giving him a chance to fight back and once again show his mighty posture in front of her.
But he closed his mouth instantly as he felt the cold stare at him. He didn't dare to speak anymore as doing so was just going to piss her off.
'I am soo fucked up.'
Max ignored those two as he started sorting out the new memories in his mind.
Thankfully, unlike what he had read before, there was no pain or discomfort. It's simply one moment, he knew nothing, and next, there were those memories.
Though he still needed to go through it fully to completely understand it but what he figured out is enough to make him scared shitless.
He apparently traveled into a novel, Not any novel but the same genre of the novel he was cursing before, and now it seems Karma.
As he was directly put into hell difficulty as not only did he travel through the pitiful role of villain in the novel, but he was also put into the middle of the plot.
The early advantage of the villain is all but gone; His family has pretty much abandoned him, His own separate business is tanking, His sisters who were so doting on him, were keeping their distance, and now the childhood sweetheart of his comes to him to break off the engagement their family made.
From it is clear that the protagonist stretched out his arms and legs in the city meaning the plot has started a quite while ago and now it was actually the finale for his arc.
'How am I supposed to survive this?'
Max became a little down as he was on the verge of crying; this is bullying, this is not fair at all, Someone is taking revenge on him, Definitely those damn authors behind writing such a plot.
