The first alchemist

Walker family is a count family of the Leonis empire is renowned for their bloodline which grant them immense mama reserves in their body, allowing them to use legendary level magic easily, afterall legendary level magic consume large amount of mana, as the result, such magic is done by combining the strength of multiple mages rather than using the power of single mage, but Walker family can cast such spell alone. Because of their contribution in magic and as emperor's lead advicer, the head of family, was granted the title of count. For generations, Walker family served the empire as the greatest advicer in both politics and wars, which is what allow Leonis empire to grew into powerful nation. Despite being a count family, their authority exceeds that of duke, earning the envy of other nobles. One day a boy named Alan Walker was born. He is the grandson of the count through his youngest son and his youngest son's wife. The boy was found to have possess no aptitude for magic, as the result he was treated as an outcast, except for the boy's older brother, who still cared for his brother but also became angry with his family for how they treated his younger brother. Even today as usual he scolded his grandfather in his office, the the guy's name is William Walker, Alan's older brother, the only one in the family who cared for Alan, the other person is the current count and head of the family, count Albert Walker, "Grandpa, I can't believe this, why you all treat my brother like he didn't exist?", William said, "Is there any problem, if we do", Albert said while handling his paperwork, clearly paying no attention to what William said, "It's true that he can't use magic like rest of the family, but isn't he is part of our family?", William replied, "It doesn't matter, as long as he cannot use magic, it doesn't matter, whether he exist or not, besides I am busy right now, can't you focus on your study?", Albert replied showing no interest in what William said, this make William angry and stormed out of the room, outside the room he find his father Maximillian, but he has no pay no attention and was in his way towards his brother's room, "Wait, Will!", Maximillian called his son, "What, old man", William spoke without any respect for his father, "William, don't be angry, with what your grandpa said, he is a busy man, so, he don't want to be disturbed", Maximillian said politely, "So, you are saying if no one care for my brother, and if I don't stand up for him, you are all okay?", William said sarcatically, "No, I mean.....", Maximillian tried to explain, "I don't care what you mean, in fact, you better get out of my way", William shouted, "I was just worried about you, afterall, you are my son", Maximillian said, "And what about my brother?, isn't he your son too", William replied angrily, Maximillian couldn't reply, William then left the place as he don't want to continue this farce any longer, he entered his Alan's room, but he didn't find him there, he realised that he is in his secret laboratory in the forest behind the mansion, so he went there, the laboratory, is basically a large cave that used to belong to the wolves, but with his brother's request, he eliminated all the wolfs, and renovate it into a secret laboratory that only he and his brother know about. The cave is filled with magic books related to magic theory as well as books related to science, there is cauldron, bottles filled with either herbs or animal tissue soaked in a liquid, a large number of scrolls, magical items and lot more. Alan Walker, William's younger brother, is reserching the new runes he discovered, suddenly he noticed his brother William, "Big bro, so what they say?", Alan asked, "Sorry Alan, but our grandpa, didn't listen to what I said", William spoke sadly, "It's okay I don't care anyway, once I turn 20, we will leave this goddamned place", Alan replied, "They don't mind you leave, but they will not allow me to leave, as I am considered a prodigy in the family", William replied, "Then I alone leave, of course I will write letters to inform my condition", Alan said, "Let you go alone, Never!!, I can't allow you to wander anywhere alone", William spoke, "But at that time, I will grow up enough to take care of myself, beside I will invent something to protect myself, not to mention I have many scrolls and explosives now, I will be fine at that time, when I choose to leave", Alan assured his brother, "No, you are my precious family, I will not let you wander in unknown places alone", William vowed, this make Alan sad as he is willimg to leave this place and he made various preparation for that, but his brother don't want him to leave the mansion. While it was true that william can't use magic, he has an alternative, alchemy, a mystic science, that allow him invent various things that can substitute many magic spells, for example, he can create a healing potion, that allow him to heal quickly without any healing spells or a fire magic scroll that also him to use fire magic, or fire wall throwing potion, that can create fire wall that can replace fire wall spell, he can even create weapon oil, a venom applied on blades or arrowhead for extra damage, and lot more. Alchemy is something that no one know about, afterall, it didn't exist before he was born, it was something he created using the ideas he got from comics and animes in his past life, that's right he is a transmigrator, in his past life he was a genius chemist and biologist, he made various improvement in chemistry and biology, thus improving the scientific knowledge of the world, he even made a biochemical that gave him etenal youth and infinite lifespan, although he can still die if killed or got into accident. Thus, as a result the seemingly immortal scientist died after getting hit by a truck, and in next moment he reincarnated as one of the grandsons of the count. At first, he was upset when he realised that he has no magic, but he noticed something, as a kid when he read comics or watch anime, aside from magic there was a mystic science known as alchemy in fantasy world, but in this world there is no sign of alchemy nor the items made from alchemy. This proved to be the great opportunity for him to start alchemical revolution in this world, he started with his research on thr runes on magic circles mentioned in magic theory books, he memorizes those runes then wrote those runes on paper in an atempt to craft a magic scroll that allow him to cast the spell wrote in scroll, but it didn't work, so, he decided to use different inks, but it still didn't work, then, reviewed the magic book again and found out that magic is cast through the gene the caster have, of course, the gene must carry the aptitude for casting magic, otherwise, no matter how much mana one possess they cannot cast magic. So Alan, requested his brother to give him some of his blood, which he agreed, he also extracted some of his own blood, he wrote one scroll with his own blood and other with his brother's blood, the scroll that was written with his own blood didn't work but the scroll written with his brother's blood worked, meaning the blood with magic aptitude is suitable for making magic scroll, but unfortunately, he cannot take too much blood from his brother, so, used the extracts of certain magical plants, which is equivalent to magic blood with magical aptitude, and it worked, he made a magic scroll without using blood, with creation of magic scrolls, he no longer worry about, not being able to use magic spells, but he didn't stop there, using the knowledge of biology and chemistry, which is same in his past and present world he invented potions, throwing potions and oil. He learned to enchant weapons through runestones which created by first creating a special stone through chemical process, then applying the magic of scrolls in it, applying the runestone on the weapon, places the enchantment on the weapon, reverting the runestone back into ordinary stone in the process, while the emchanted weapon displays supernatural abilities and traits, he also invented transmutation magic spell, which cast a spell that mages can't learn, the tranmutation, save some time for him, as the scroll allow his to transmute the materials into an item, he also invented extraction magic scroll, which like former cannot be learned by mages, which allow him to extract useful materials from ore without chemical process. He also learns to craft various magic tools that can be used for varieties of purposes, especially for day to day needs. Thanks top this, he no longer worry about for not being born as mage, in fact he was planning to leave his family to start his new life, he even planned to find a way to turn stone into gold and turn himself immortal, which is his ultimate goal, but unfortunately, his brother don't want him to leave. Suddenly, he remmembered something he forgotten, "Oh crap, I almost forgot that I am running out of twin-tailed lightning wolf's blood, I needed to create philosopher's stone, I guess I have to got to the forest to collect it", Alan said, "Take me too, I will help you to gather it", William said, "Yeah, let's go", Alan said, with this both of them went to forest to gather the ingrediant Alan looking for, unaware someone is following them.
