Kael stood alone in the room, the red notebook in his trembling hands.
His heart pounded like it was trying to escape.
"She's the glitch. You're the experiment."
The words echoed, not just in his head—but in the walls. The floor. The air. Like the room itself was whispering it to him. Mocking him.
Suddenly—snap.
A crack formed across the ceiling. Another across the wall. The entire world around him began to shatter, piece by piece, like glass being stepped on in slow motion.
He tried to run.
But every step dragged him into a different place.
A school hallway—flooded with blood.
A hospital—machines screaming but no patients.
His old room—but the photos on the wall had no faces.
Kael fell to his knees, clutching his head. "What is happening to me?!"
Then—
A soft voice.
"I missed you, Kael."
He turned around slowly.
Aria stood there. Same face. Same soft expression. But something in her eyes was… wrong. They weren't glowing. They were empty. Like a broken doll.
"I was never supposed to exist," she whispered.
Kael's voice cracked. "Then why do you?"
Aria smiled faintly. "Because someone wished too hard for something real."
And then she vanished.
But her voice remained, repeating itself over and over, overlapping, layering, distorting into a scream.
Kael collapsed. The scream wasn't coming from outside.
It was coming from inside him.
His mouth opened.
And a sound no human should ever make poured out.
He didn't scream in pain.
He screamed in code.
The notebook glitched in his hand. The watch melted into his skin. And above him—
the sky cracked open.
A giant eye blinked down.
And Kael realized…
Someone was watching this.
Writing this.
Playing god.
