Initiation of the Trial
Back at Pathforge, the great anvil chamber stood waiting. Volen Durnhart stood at the center, his hammer glowing.
"You've broken your limit. Now… prove you deserve the strength you've stolen from the world."
With a slam of his hammer, the chamber shook—and a spiral platform of molten steel formed beneath their feet, rising into the core of the sanctum.
Trial Begins Now.
Part I: Environmental Trial – The Smoldering Maze
• Heat pulses through walls.
• Moving floor tiles glow—some collapse into lava.
• Pressure plates open rotating fire traps.
• Riven has to snipe heat runes to cool paths.
• Kael times dashes through flame gates—using Echo Burn to ignite dead ends and clear illusions.
At the end, they must ignite a giant brazier with a Flameheart Gem.
Flames swirl upward—unlocking the next gate.
Part II: Corrupted Forge Beasts – Twin Cores
Mini-Boss Fight: Ignis Husk & Emberhowl (Lv 28)
• Ignis Husk: A golem made of failed weapons
• Emberhowl: A wolf of flame and smoke, fast as lightning
They split the fight:
• Kael kites Emberhowl, dashing through flames, landing massive combos.
• Riven stuns Husk with Tether Shot, then lands critical backstab shots between exposed plating.
Final combo:
Kael: "Now!"
Riven: Shadow Double Burst →
Kael: Twin Blade Spiral →
CRITICAL FINISH – Twin Core Break!
Part III: The Forge Warden – Final Boss
Boss Name: Moltrax the Bound Flame
• Level: 30
• HP: 52,000
• Abilities:
• Forgequake – slams hammer, causes floor eruptions
• Ironlash Chains – pulls target, stuns
• Burning Memory – reflects last-used skill back at player
• Molten Rites (50% HP) – creates fire clone of itself
This fight nearly ends them.
• Riven is chained mid-air—Kael slashes the link just in time.
• They both get caught in Burning Memory, taking their own strongest attacks.
• Riven drops to 15% HP. Kael is at 9%.
But then—
Riven eats Hunter's Feast – Moongold Meat Buff
Kael triggers Limit Pulse – Echo Burn Overload
Riven shoots through the fire clone.
Kael dives into Moltrax's core—
Legendary Finish: Ember Cross Strike
Twin swords slash in a burning X.
Forge explodes behind him.
Boss: Defeated.
