Chapter 9 - Comedy in the dungeon

Aurelia POV:Sometimes I wonder who Casimir is reincarnated as. Since I can't leave the dungeon, I do not know what is happening in the outside world. I think I should capture one of those high‑class adventurers—they would have more information. Tomorrow I officially start my duties as dungeon boss, so I will have to introduce some new rules: no killing humans (though you may beat them), and no bullying. Surprisingly, high‑class monsters pick on low‑class monsters—specifically slimes. They're very cute, so I won't allow that. Maybe the big monsters are jealous that low‑class monsters have a cuter appearance.

I ended my thoughts to see Nikon and Blikin pestering Gaius, my personal butler, to cook for them—those shameless geezers! I need to put them in their place. I called Goddess Tara and the gang, fooling them into pranking Blikin and Nikon by giving them their location. I'm just waiting for the show to start.

Blikin brought his sword forward, flashing it at Gaius with a threatening tone. "Will you serve me and my friend, or do you want a round of pain?"

Nikon smirked, laughing. "We gods are hungry—do you want us to starve? We are your great and mighty gods who find time to train your madam, and this is how you repay us?"

Nikon then used his puppy eyes, seeking pity. Gaius stood in a complex situation, his face so readable you could see his thoughts. Lazy crew—you barely taught Aurelia anything besides impossible training, and now you ask for payment?

I laughed inwardly—they don't know what's coming for them. A little later, Tara and the gang arrived and captured Blikin and Nikon, claiming they needed their input on a serious matter. Those two fools followed, not knowing they'd soon be begging for their lives. Minutes later, Blikin and his friend rushed out of the dungeon, covered in bruises, crying that they would get me.

I laughed at their childish tantrum, watching them through the dungeon system monitor screen.

Blikin POV:Nikon and I were fools. I should have warned him they never plan anything good for me or my friend. They looked suspicious—maybe that little girl Aurelia tipped them off. I will make sure she pays twofold for what she did to us.

I called Nikon to a corner and we plotted our greatest prank on her. Our plan: create a distraction in the world of men. Luckily, we are very rich, so we hired adventurers to cause trouble, distracting Aurelia while we sneaked into her room to set a trap—fire powder that would at least give her an itch. Nikon and I ended the conversation with our signature evil laugh: we will show her why we are called the Troublesome Duo. Ha ha ha...

The next day, Aurelia sat on her throne in the dungeon's throne room, monitoring the adventurers. Some groups entered, bullying low‑class adventurers. Aurelia's soft heart stirred—she slipped from the dungeon core room to help, secretly.

Meanwhile, Blikin and his gang entered Aurelia's room and poured the fire powder, giggling like idiots. But Aurelia never left the room—using illusions to confuse them, she collected the powder and poured it back on their clothes. thank god i learnt from Illurion, she thought. Otherwise those fools would have pranked me. She pretended ignorance, then teleported to where the adventurers were causing trouble.

There she transformed into a high‑class monster: the Smoke Dragon, capable of destroying a C‑rank team in a minute. With a smoky entrance, she revealed her form to the adventurers. They wet themselves and ran for their lives.

Back in Aurelia's room, Blikin sniffed the air. "Leon, are you cooking something?"

Leon frowned. "No—you know we can't cook. Why do I smell beef?"

"I don't know," Leon replied, "but it smells good."

Gaius entered, trying to contain his laughter. "What are you doing here?"

"You, Gaius—are you cooking?" Leon asked.

"I'm afraid you're the one cooking," Gaius said.

"But I can't cook," Leon protested.

Gaius answered, "Neither can I—but you two are literally cooking."

They looked down to see flames licking the jewels on their body armor. They jumped so high they reached space. The void cooled the fire, but both were furious.

"AURELIA!" they shouted. "We'll get you!"

Leon dusted his shoes when he felt a twitch in his ear. "Oh, is someone insulting me? Probably Blikin and Leon." Suddenly, an adventurer stabbed her in the chest.

Aurelia staggered. I should never let my guard down—but my dress!

"Someone must pay!" she hissed. Her face twisted; she rotated it 360 degrees, scaring the adventurer so badly he wet himself. He tried to flee, but Aurelia, now enraged, growled, "Where do you think you're going? No one touches my clothes—they're worth more than your ancestors and your future generations combined." The adventurer fainted.

His ancestral spirits appeared, hand-fanning him back to consciousness. When he woke, saw Aurelia's face, and jumped so high he flew out of the dungeon.

Gaius POV:When I first met her, she was a traumatized girl with no parents, siblings, or home. I've cared for her like my own daughter. She's grown up so fast—now she's maturing. I feel proud of taking care of her all these years. If her lover doesn't treat her well, I will personally execute him.

The scene shifts to space: Leon and Blikin continued falling. Leon used his damaged phone to post the code of a wealthy bank vault to the public. Aurelia returned home.

Gaius saw her and rushed forward. "Why is there blood on your clothes? Who harmed my daughter? Tell me his name and it's done."

"No, Gaius," Aurelia said gently. "I don't want you to hurt anyone—at least not because of me. Please show mercy."

Still stern, he said, "Since you insist… fine. Now, daughter, what will you have me prepare?"

Aurelia answered, "Make the meal you gave me the first time I entered this dungeon. Today is the anniversary of my arrival here."

"Very well," he said. "I'll prepare dinner. Rest now."

Aurelia lay on her bed and whispered, "Casimir, when will we meet again? My love, I miss you," as she cried herself to sleep.
