Morning came without a sun.
The three moons still lingered in the sky, fading lazily, as if the heavens couldn't decide whether to move forward.
Sera was asleep, but her body trembled. She dreamed of fire. I knew because… I dreamed it too.
Only in my dream, the fire had my face.
—
I stepped out of the cabin. The forest was silent.
Too silent.
And then I saw it: an object lodged into the trunk of a nearby tree.
A rusted knife… pinning a note through the bark.
The ink was still fresh, but the paper… had a date from the next year.
—
I took it carefully.
> "Ryouhei: don't trust her. She already took your shadow once. She'll do it again."
No signature. Just a symbol: a cracked moon with three lines crossing it.
The symbol of Eclipse of Three Moons… but warped.
As if it had evolved.
—
I returned to the cabin.
Sera was already awake, watching me in silence. For a second, I saw the knife reflected in her pupils… before I even showed it to her.
"Where did you find that?"
"Stuck in the future, I guess."
She turned pale. Then whispered:
"It's begun."
—
The table shook. The journal flipped open on its own.
And wrote a new phrase, untouched:
> "Tomorrow has remembered too much. Now it bleeds into the present."
