"...Way smoother than I expected."
No flashy lights, no dramatic sound effects—Liz just popped into existence in a corner of a rooftop.
Through trial and error, he'd learned a few things:
Inventory must be empty to warp.
His physical body traveled, not just his soul.
The ability cost zero energy to use.
The 10-second "prayer" activation prevented abuse as an escape button.
His MC system had some adjustments… which he'd test now.
Even without peering over the railing at the hellscape below, the stench of blood confirmed it—this was definitely a "world full of zombies to farm."
Excited for EXP, Liz stepped out of the shadows—
"..."
—and immediately locked eyes with three stunned students:
A sobbing girl (Miyamoto Rei).
A guy gripping a baseball bat (Komuro Takashi).
A collapsed guy (Igo Hisashi).
Their shock was understandable. Liz's casual clothes stood out in a school, and how the hell did he appear on a barricaded rooftop?!
"Don't mind me. I'll leave soon." Liz had zero interest in their drama. Food and zombies awaited!
"Takashi, did you miss him during the sweep?!" Rei hissed.
"No way! I checked everywhere—even the vents!" Takashi snapped, offended by both the stranger and Rei's doubt.
"Then—"
"Relax. I'm from another world. Spawned here by accident." Liz sighed, crouching to punch the concrete floor—partly to test his power, partly to shut them up.
"Another world? Bullsh—
—CRACK.
The floor shattered under his fist, the debris phasing into his body.
"...!!"
Silence.
Even Liz blinked. "Huh. Don't even need a wooden pickaxe…?"
The system labeled the rubble as "concrete wall" (furniture, not usable stone). Maybe any structural block could be mined barehanded?
New strat unlocked: No-clip terrain abuse!
But before he could turn the entire roof into zombie-killing ammo, Rei lunged at him. "You're really from another world?! Then save Hisashi!"
Normally, people would flee from a man who punches through concrete. But in an apocalypse? That man was hope.
"Uh… what's wrong with him?" Liz asked, playing his "70-morality nice guy" role.
"He got bitten saving me! He's coughing blood!" Rei cried.
Hisashi, clinging to consciousness, gasped, "Virus… like in movies…"
"Sacrificing himself for his girl, huh…" Liz mused. MC zombies didn't infect, but… "Maybe temporary party mechanics can cure him?"
Then—
"But nah. He's a dude. Hard pass."
"WHY NOT?!" Rei's scream drew zombies stumbling up the stairs (luckily, they sucked at climbing).
"You know magic movies, right? Party formation requires a kiss," Liz deadpanned. "And I'd rather die than lock lips with a guy."
(Latest updates at 69shu8!)
"This is life or death!" Rei argued—like refusing CPR over gender.
"Fine, alternative: You kiss me first, then pass the ability to him—"
"YOU'RE JUST TRYING TO GROPE ME!" Takashi roared, raising his bat—
—but Rei acted first.
She grabbed Liz and kissed him.
No hesitation. No slapstick. Just raw desperation to save Hisashi.
(Though honestly, for modern teens, a kiss was no big deal. Only Takashi—who lowkey saw himself as Rei's boyfriend—seethed. Hisashi? Mostly just moved.)
"There! Happy?!" Rei then kissed Hisashi, ignoring his weak protests about infection.
"Should've been quicker. Party buff's finicky… Oh, and eat food to heal." Liz shrugged and went back to mining the roof.
Zombies, prepare to be farmed.
As for the emotional fallout? Well…
Takashi Komuro stood frozen, gripping his bat so hard his knuckles turned white.
Some battles couldn't be won with a weapon.
