Chapter 19 - First leads

Meanwhile, in the Kingdom of Legends…

Lara was using Heart to browse the Player Market while dispatching search squads to gather essential resources. She was determined to lay the foundation for advanced production—soap, silk, refined salt, and even brewing. Her first brewing endeavors would include cognac, sake, tequila, mead, and whiskey.

She had already purchased a World Tree sapling, five beehives, lye, various oils, silkworms, and their habitat. The search squads located three medium salt mines, rare flowers, and a variety of fruits needed for brewing. Lara also instructed the butchers to set aside animal fat for soap-making.

System Notification:

Ding!

1 Wild Boar has been killed.

Ding!

1 Wild Deer has been killed.

Ding!

Your troops have found 3 medium salt mines. Do you want to combine them and place them in your territory?

Shin pressed "Yes."

Shin resumed his daily tasks. He gathered the Neiman Guard, Mountain Kings, Mountain Splitters, Moonshadow Elves, and hybrid races to follow him. Then, he requested Heart to initiate dedicated weapon training for them all.

Elsewhere in the Town of Silverbrook…

Robin Lionheart sat across from her stepmother, Elise Lionheart—the main wife of Duke Lionheart.

"My dear stepdaughter," Elise purred, her tone sly. "Can you arrange another meeting with that handsome otherworldly lord you met today? I believe you, your sister, and I could… share." Her eyes gleamed with unsettling hunger. "I can sense his dragon lineage… and it's the strongest I've ever felt—even stronger than that of fully grown dragons. My instincts are screaming that he'd be the perfect mate for any woman."

"How can you tell, Elise? And what about Father?" Robin asked, wary.

Elise laughed softly. "Your father doesn't even look at me anymore. Since I couldn't give him a son, he's pinned all his hopes on your brother. But you know Nico still hasn't forgiven him for what happened to Melody." Her expression darkened. "No matter how much he denies it, your twin is just as stubborn as your father. But I understand his anger."

Robin hesitated. "But Shin… he already has four wives, all stronger than me."

"Fufu… my, my…" Elise's lips curled into a knowing smile. "You know nothing about dragons, little Robin. There's one thing they love as much as gold—women. Dragons and incubuses hoard them more than any other species. And if I'm right… that boy, Shin… he has a succubus as his mother. I can still smell the pheromones. Strong—like a Succubus Queen."

"Do you know what kind of dragon he is?" Robin whispered.

Elise's smile deepened. "That… I do not know."

Back in the Kingdom of Legends…

Shin and his newly trained troops had just finished mana training. After dismissing them to rest, he delved into tomes on fire and lightning magic. With the assimilation of Shin Wilford's mana and magical knowledge, he had already increased his mana capacity to Level 3 on the first day, enabling voiceless casting.

He practiced infusing fire and lightning into his spear and sword strikes. Even basic spells like Fireball and Lightning Strike grew significantly stronger. His fire burned bluish-purple, and his lightning crackled crimson red.

After his training, Shin returned to the manor and asked Heart to mark the nearest locations of the materials needed to upgrade Dragon Mountain and awaken the bloodlines fully.

"Yes, big brother. I've marked them," Heart replied. A glowing map appeared on-screen, highlighting the targets in various colors to indicate danger levels.

After lunch with his wives, Shin handed Lara a list of the materials required for bloodline awakening.

"I'll do my best, hubby," Lara teased, her eyes sparkling. "But you'd better reward me for all this work. It's only my first day."

Shin smirked, pride swelling in his chest. "Don't worry, Lara. I'll make it up to you tonight, my dear."

"My wives, are you all joining the battle tonight?" Shin asked.

All four nodded in agreement.

Shin gave an approving nod, then turned his focus to the message board.

"Heart, pull up the message board," he commanded.

Got it, big brother! Heart's voice chimed as a translucent screen materialized, displaying notifications and player posts from across the world.

Shin's eyes narrowed as he scanned the posts, quickly sorting through useful intel.

"The Sanctuary of Eternal Light…" he murmured. That was where Ka Ryo Ten's Tears of Divine Wisdom were rumored to be.

The Abyssal Rift activity also caught his attention. The Abyssal Sea could hold the Heart of the Abyss and the Venom of the World Serpent—both needed for Kyou Kai's bloodline.

Shin opened a private message.

Shin → VoidWalker92:

"I'm interested in the Abyssal Venom. What do you need in exchange?"

VoidWalker92:

"Dragon Blood or Primordial Cores only. Nothing else."

Shin smirked. "Good," he whispered. He had both.

Shin:

"I can offer Dragon Blood. How many vials do you need?"

Next, Shin posted a quest request:

[User: DragonLordShin]

"Seeking high-level adventurers for a deep dive into the Infernal Abyss. Objective: Retrieve the Ashes of the Primordial Flame and the Heart of a Fallen Star. High-tier rewards and Dragon Blood offered upon success."

Another post caught Shin's eye.

PhantomFox:

"Buying Phoenix Feathers and Eternal Fire Shards. Offering high-grade mana crystals and advanced blueprints."

Shin messaged them directly.

Shin → PhantomFox:

"I need a Phoenix Feather. Do you know where to find one?"

PhantomFox:

"Rumor has it a True Phoenix was spotted near the Eternal Flame Court. But that area's a death trap unless you've got divine-level resistance."

Shin's eyes gleamed. "A death trap, huh?"

"Heart," he said quietly, already planning. "Mark the Eternal Flame Court, Sanctuary of Eternal Light, and Abyssal Sea."

Got it, big brother!

Ding!

New Locations Marked:

• Eternal Flame Court – Extreme Danger. Home of the Phoenix Lineage remnants.

• Sanctuary of Eternal Light – High Divine Resistance Required. Guarded by celestial trials.

• Abyssal Sea – Abyssal Corruption Present. Hostile terrain, powerful entities.

Shin's eyes hardened, a confident smirk curling across his lips.

"Looks like I've got my next targets."

Shin opened a chat with Haremking.

Shin → Haremking:

"How much water and how many army recruitment scrolls do you need?"

Haremking:

"At least a medium water source—I'm in a desert. And as many scrolls as you can spare."

With Heart's help, Shin gathered intel on valuable trade items. He sent scouts to investigate the Eternal Flame Court, as it was the closest. He also messaged PhantomFox about a potential collaboration there.

The scouts soon reported back—the Eternal Flame Court was under the jurisdiction of the Goblin Emperor.

At the same time, a reply came from PhantomFox.

PhantomFox:

"I can't right now. I'm trapped between an ogre tribe."

Shin:

"I can help in a couple of days."

PhantomFox:

"I'll try to hold out, DragonLordShin. Let's meet after the first ten days. Till then."
