Chapter 12 : Sister and Stats
The sun was already high in the sky, casting sharp beams of light over the bustling city.
Among the towering buildings stood a luxurious gym, its sleek, modern architecture glinting under the sunlight. The polished glass windows and pristine white walls made it look like a fortress of strength and prestige. But despite its elegance, an air of intimidation surrounded the place.
Grim stood outside the entrance, his cold black eyes gazing at the building with an indifferent expression.
His white hair, strikingly beautiful yet carrying an air of danger, contrasted with his rugged, muscular frame. His broad shoulders and defined physique were emphasized by the fitted black shirt he wore, the fabric stretched over his powerful build.
His steps were calm, calculated, and with every movement, his dangerous aura grew thicker, causing everyone around to steer clear of his path.
As Grim pushed open the glass door and stepped inside, the faint scent of sweat and metal filled the air.
The gym was spacious and luxurious, with polished marble floors and top-of-the-line equipment. Despite the grandeur, the moment Grim entered, a heavy silence fell over the place.
Those who were training froze, their eyes widening as they caught sight of him. No one dared approach, their heads lowered, their gazes diverted, not wanting to provoke the man whose mere presence commanded fear.
Grim walked through the gym, his footsteps echoing in the quiet space. Without sparing anyone a glance, he made his way straight to the faculty room at the far end of the gym. He pushed the door open and walked in.
The room was elegantly furnished, with dark leather chairs and a polished wooden table.
Several well-built men and women were gathered inside, their expressions a mixture of respect and apprehension. As Grim entered, they all straightened up, slightly bowing their heads.
"Good afternoon, Boss." Their voices blended into a single, respectful greeting.
Grim ignored their acknowledgment entirely, his gaze fixed on the smaller door at the back of the room. Without a word, he pushed it open and walked into a more private chamber.
Inside, his right-hand man awaited him.
Kade was slightly shorter than Grim, but his well-built frame was evidence of his strength. His skin had a slight tan, giving him a rugged look that paired well with his long, blonde hair that fell to his shoulders. His sharp blue eyes held a dangerous glint, a reflection of the man's own ruthlessness.
Kade greeted him with a nod. "Good afternoon, Boss. There are some guests who'd like to see you."
Grim's gaze turned deadly, his eyes narrowing at Kade's words. "Who?"
"The ones who saw you fight last week. The ones whose champion you beat to a pulp." Kade replied with a smirk. "They've come with a contract, hoping to hire you to fight in some fancy ring."
Grim raised an eyebrow, his tone cold. "Do they think I'm some entertainment puppet? Someone to dance and fight for their amusement?" His voice was low, each word laced with venom. "Do they want to die coming here?"
Kade's smirk widened. "Knew you'd say that. So, I already tied them up after beating them a bit. Thought you might want to take a look."
A flicker of interest crossed Grim's eyes. "Lead the way."
Kade guided him through a dimly lit hallway that led to a storage room. As Kade swung the door open, the stench of sweat and blood assaulted Grim's senses.
Three men were hanging upside down, their bodies tightly bound with thick ropes. Fear was evident in their eyes, their faces pale and drenched in sweat.
Grim crossed his arms over his chest, his expression blank but his gaze sharp. "Do you all want to die?"
The terrified whimpers from the men were the only response he needed.

Meanwhile, at Luxe Haven Apartments, the sun cast soft golden hues through the expansive glass windows, highlighting the luxurious, elegant décor of the lavish penthouse.
The living room was adorned with antique pieces and exquisite furnishings that radiated both wealth and sophistication.
The air held a faint, sweet fragrance, one that gave the lavish apartment a welcoming yet intimidating presence.
Seraphine was resting on a velvet-cushioned sofa, her white blouse clean but her blood-stained coat draped over the armrest beside her. Her golden eyes were fixed on the city view, her thoughts still lingering on Raven's impressive display of skill and strength.
The sudden sound of the door unlocking snapped her from her thoughts. She rose to her feet just as the door swung open, and a woman stepped inside with hurried footsteps.
Aurelia Ashfall.
Her long, crimson hair cascaded down her back like liquid fire, reaching her hips with a lustrous shine. Her golden eyes, sharp and striking, held an intensity that could pierce through steel. Her beautiful face, framed by her scarlet hair, exuded both authority and elegance. Dressed in a sleek black suit that hugged her perfect figure, Aurelia was a vision of power and beauty.
The moment Aurelia saw the blood-stained coat, her eyes widened in panic. "Seraphine!" she shouted, her voice a mix of worry and anger.
Seraphine stepped forward with a soft smile. "I'm alright, sister."
Aurelia rushed over, embracing her tightly. "What happened?"
Seraphine sighed, recounting everything that had occurred. She explained the attack, her injury, and her encounter with Raven.
As she spoke, she revealed her secret ability — the window that allowed her to see through people, displaying their stats like strength, stamina, IQ, and speed. Only Aurelia knew about her unique gift.
"There's something about him, Sister," Seraphine continued, her eyes thoughtful. "He's the strongest person I've ever seen."
Aurelia's expression darkened. "I was attacked today, too. The bodyguards protecting me are already in the hospital. Our brothers targeting us... they're not going to stop."
Seraphine frowned. "What are we going to do?"
"I need to find someone strong enough to protect us. And I think I know who can help."
Aurelia stood up, her gaze sharp with determination. "Rest, Seraphine. I'll be back soon."
Without another word, Aurelia turned on her heels and left, her powerful aura lingering in the air.
