Chapter 1 - Crimson Hell

Year 1510 of the Sea Circle Calendar, Impel Down Prison—Crimson Hell.

"Hey, wake up! Get up and eat—stop playing dead!" A voice slowly crept into Nathan's mind.

The next second, a sharp pain hit his buttocks, and he snapped awake in an instant.

"Damn it, if you're not dead, then get up and eat your damn food. You're up next!"

A man wearing a military cap, white coat, and green slacks stood over Nathan, glaring viciously as he barked the order.

"W-Where am I?" Nathan looked around at the pitch-black surroundings, confused.

"Haha, kid, looks like you've already been scared stupid. Let me tell you again—this is the first level of Impel Down Prison, Crimson Hell. This meal might just be your last. So enjoy it while you still can!"

The man let out a sinister laugh before turning and walking away.

Bang!

With a dull thud of the door, the room fell into silence, leaving only Nathan behind.

Just as he tried to get up and check his surroundings, a surge of fragmented memories flooded into his brain.

"Argh!"

An intense pain shot through his head, forcing him to groan softly.

Moments later, the pain began to fade.

One scene after another started flashing through his mind.

After a long while, Nathan collapsed back onto the cold floor with a thud.

"This… this can't be. How the hell did I transmigrate?! And into the One Piece world, no less!" He muttered to himself in disbelief.

That's right—Nathan had actually transmigrated. And not just anywhere—he had landed in the world of the anime One Piece.

But unlike those typical novel plots, he hadn't taken over the body of some powerful figure.

Instead, he had ended up in the body of a run-of-the-mill pirate.

To make matters worse, this pirate had recently been captured by the Navy and thrown into the depths of the hellish Impel Down!

This prison held only the most dangerous criminals. It was a dark, terrifying place filled with monstrous jailers and under constant surveillance by Den Den Mushi cameras.

Outside the prison, massive Sea Kings patrolled the waters, earning Impel Down the reputation of being an impenetrable fortress.

And once you were locked inside, there was only one way out to escape.

Throughout history, only the legendary "Golden Lion" Shiki had ever managed to break free.

"Damn it! It's bad enough I transmigrated into some worthless pirate's body, but I didn't even get a system?" Nathan cursed in frustration.

But just as he finished his rant, a familiar voice actually answered him!

Ding! Fire Shadow Possession System interface successfully established. Congratulations on activating the system and unlocking the integrated store. A beginner gift pack has been awarded. Please open your inventory to claim it!

"It's here! It really came!"

Overcome with excitement, Nathan immediately accessed the so-called system in his mind.

The next moment, a character panel appeared in his consciousness:

Host: Nathan

Available Possession Characters: None

Remaining Possession Uses: 0

Reputation Points: 0

"What the hell is this? Fire Shadow Possession System?"

Nathan stared at the panel in confusion.

Then he remembered the beginner gift pack. Quickly, he focused his thoughts and opened the package in his system inventory.

Ding! Beginner gift pack opened successfully. You have obtained one character card: Might Guy from Naruto. In addition, you have received 10 possession uses.

"Holy crap—Might Guy?! That's the strongest taijutsu user in Naruto! Even Madara called him the strongest man!"

Just then, the character panel refreshed again:

Host: Nathan

Available Possession Characters: Might Guy

Remaining Possession Uses: 10

Reputation Points: 0

Now Nathan finally began to understand how this system worked.

Essentially, the system allowed characters from the Naruto universe to temporarily possess his body.

And once possessed, he would gain access to all of that character's jutsu and taijutsu abilities.

However, in order to use this feature, he first needed to obtain a character card and a possession usage. Both were required!

As for how to get more of them, Nathan wasn't quite sure yet.

But he did remember the system had mentioned something about a store.

He quickly opened the integrated shop using his thoughts.

Immediately, rows of Naruto character cards filled his vision.

[Sage of Six Paths] (Character Card) – Cost: 10 million Reputation Points

[Sage Mode Naruto Uzumaki] (Character Card) – Cost: 1 million Reputation Points

[Uchiha Madara] (Character Card) – Cost: 800,000 Reputation Points

[Hashirama Senju] (Character Card) – Cost: 500,000 Reputation Points

[Uchiha Itachi] (Character Card) – Cost: 100,000 Reputation Points

[Possession Usage – 1 hour] – Cost: 1,000 Reputation Points

Almost all the strongest shinobi from the Naruto universe were listed—and the more powerful they were, the more Reputation Points they required.

The legendary Sage of Six Paths needed a jaw-dropping 10 million points to redeem!

And even the cheapest option—a single hour of possession—cost a full 1,000 points.

Glancing back at the "Reputation Points" section of his panel, Nathan let out a bitter laugh at the glaring zero.

Then, he noticed a small description in the store interface:

"How to obtain Reputation Points: The host can earn points by defeating opponents. The stronger the opponent, the more points will be awarded."

Now, everything about the system was finally clear.

If Nathan wanted to earn Reputation Points, he had to fight. And not just fight—he had to win.

Until he accumulated enough points, he was limited to using Might Guy's abilities ten times, with each use lasting only an hour.

Once that hour ran out, he'd revert back to being an ordinary person.

Fortunately, Might Guy's power was overwhelming—especially the Eight Gates technique, which could unleash godlike strength.

As long as he didn't run into the likes of the Four Emperors or Marine Admirals, Nathan was confident he could defeat most enemies within an hour!
