"What the hell?"
Everyone was surprised by the supposed Subaru appearing out of nowhere. It was only a white flash appearing for two seconds and boom there he was. A Subaru so similar to theirs but at the same time so different.
The feature that stood out the most about this Subaru was definitely his long hair which was tied like a ponytail, secondly, his black robe which was way different than what their Subaru would wear, thirdly he looked like he was older, about ten years older than their Subaru if someone had to guess. Everyone in the cast kept looking between the Sloth Subaru and the peacefully sleeping Subaru. Comparing their features, his hair, his face, his clothing, his form.
Beatrice was weirded out. She and her beloved Subaru's contract made it so that they both could feel and recognize each other no matter what, If death were to happen the contract would break, and the person alive would not feel the other's presence. When she looked at her sleeping Subaru, she felt him, she knew he was there due to their contract. But when she looked at the other Subaru she felt absolutely nothing. It grossed Beatrice out to think that she and Subaru weren't in a contract.
Emilia didn't dislike the long hair but, she preferred Subaru with his hair down way more as it made Emilia feel all fuzzy. She couldn't explain it but she always liked it, especially when Subaru came out of the bath and his hair was all damp. Other than that everything else made her feel jealous, he was a reminder of Subaru and Rem's relationship.
Rem was sweating, only screaming YES in her mind as she saw this version of Subaru sexy as FUCK, She always loved long hair and thought what it would look like on Subaru. Seems like she had convinced him to grow his hair out in this reality. Perhaps she should've taken his hand back then after all.
Crusch especially liked the long hair as it brought a new side to the amazing boy that they all began to respect. She would love to run her fingers through his long nice looking hair.
Anastasia felt nostalgic seeing her original home's, Kararagis ordinary dressing style. She didn't care much about his hair, the only thing she paid attention to was what kind of information could this supposed sloth bring to the table.
Petra was the only one who noticed something the others didn't as they were too focused on his now long hair, The thing Petra noticed was his eyes. They were way healthier. By no means were they as healthy as they could be but way better than the real Subaru's. He didn't look like he was tired all the time. His eye bags were gone, the blackness around his eye was leaning more on his skin tone. Even the color of his eye was brighter.
"Hmph! This is the commoner that everyone is so interested in? This filthy cowardly dog that ran away from his duty is supposed to be important? HAH Don't make me laugh!" Suddenly, a fiery-haired scarlet-eyed lady mocked the man while fanning her face softly with her favorite red fan. Disgusted and confused as to why this man was brought to her attention, and why everyone else was disgustingly drooling for his hair.
Emilia and Rem instantly glared at Priscilla with a death stare, while the many others expressed their displeasure and anger by only glaring at the female, thinking to themselves, what the fuck is wrong with this bitch. They also thought how after everything they've seen she still hasn't changed almost in the slightest, only giving a little pity for Subaru here and there.
"Rem? What's going on? Why are they here? No how are they here, they are supposed to be dead? Wait why am I there!? AND WHY IS YOUR HAIR SHORT?!" Subaru had a million questions in his head, he felt like he was losing his mind. He must be dreaming that's it! This must be some sort of regretful dream of his past.
"It- They- He- No- I-I-I-I." Rem was stuttering every word as she couldn't come up with a good enough explanation for what's happening. This all was happening way too quickly to even think.
"Aha I'm dreaming, that must be it. Wait, isn't this a lucid dream then if I realized that I'm dreaming?" That was the most logical reason he could come up with seeing how weird this situation was. A while ago he was in Kararagi with his family, he looked away for a second, and now he was in this movie theater that seemed like the ones back on earth.
Lucid dreaming? What's that? the cast thought.
"NO! This isn't any sort of dream!" Rem stood up trying to make Subaru at least relax.
"Ehhhhhhh? Could someone explain to me WHAT'S GOING ON!?" Subaru screamed out demanding an answer to why he was no longer with his family and back with supposed dead people, and also people who he didn't have a clue about who they were.
Everyone in the cast just looked at each other trying to figure out how they could explain this weird situation. They just decided to go out on the information with Otto starting as he was the most capable person to explain this.
"Uhm. So Natsuki-san. Basically, we've had the opportunity of watching our Subaru's journey in our world." Otto took off his signature hat, holding it close to his chest.
"EH?" Subaru's eyes widened with his mouth slightly open. 'Their Subaru's? Another me? What the fuck is going on? Subaru was also confused about who was talking to him, he seemed familiar but he couldn't put his finger on it.
"We have watched everything, from the moment he- you- both of you were summoned to where we are now. Every death, we've seen them all." Otto explained even further.
Julius went next "But the difference between you and our Subaru is apparently that Rem never took your hand and you both never ran off to whatever country you decided to go to."
"I didn't run off with rem? But then our chi-"
Subaru cut himself off as he realized something greater, he put one and one together and asked.
"S- So you all… know about… re- return by death?" Subaru closed his eyes as tight as he could, preparing for the pain that will never come in this theatre.
Subaru slowly peeked and was confused and ecstatic at the same time. Julius and Otto nodded to affirm his suspicions that they indeed did know about return by death. On one hand, he could finally talk about return by death and everything but on the other, why wasn't the witch attacking him or anyone else in that matter?
"I guess you're confused about why you aren't feeling any pain." Felt seeing how Subaru was preparing for pain and was confused that it never came, she decided to spill the beans.
"Let's just say that no one can do any damage here." Felt gave a big smile to his slothful big brother.
Subaru just looked at Felt like he couldn't believe what he was hearing. He laughed to himself, he could finally talk about his trauma and no one would stop him. Not even the black hand would harm him.
"I can return by death!" Subaru started slightly crying, this feeling, those words, this freedom. It was the third-best thing that ever happened in his life. The first being his child's birth and the second marrying Rem.
As Subaru stopped crying, he started smiling with tears in his eyes, he looked at the whole cast.
"Thank you for this opportunity."
Most of the cast just smiled at the man, some sighed as they didn't care, they all noted that his reaction was far gentler with a lot less crying and whimpering, compared to their Subaru in arc 4 with Echidna. Of course, they were all grateful that Subaru got the chance to finally say those words and let his heart out, and they were thankful to Echidna for giving Subaru the chance to do so. But the fact that She was only pretending to use Subaru, pissed everyone off. Especially Beatrice who was furious that her mother tried something like this.
"Uhm. If I may, shall we go on a different topic, since I don't want to waste time?" Anastasia noted. In Anastasia's mind, a monkey was jumping up and down all over the place. She was way too excited about this opportunity, so that she couldn't wait no matter what.
Subaru chuckled remembering how annoying Anastasia was. To him, Anastasia only used Subaru for information and didn't give anything back, leaving him aside like some trash on the side of the road. But it had been so long since that time so he didn't care anymore as he had greater things to worry about.
"Subaru-kun… What was our life like in your reality?" Rem stepped closer and looked at Subaru with her puppy eyes, wanting to know what kind of life she could have lived with the man she loved.
Emilia started pouting, as she did not like the word "our" at all. Subaru was hers and hers alone! She hugged Subaru even tighter, she did not plan to share him with anyone, especially not with the blue-haired Rem.
Beatrice noticed Emilia's childish reaction and just puffed, "Jeez what a child, I suppose"
Subaru kept looking at Rem, admiring her features, her short hair, her cute face, her slim figure. The maid outfit made him feel nostalgic, it had been a while since Rem wore anything resembling a maid outfit. Rem noticed this and started blushing while gazing away to hide her blush, Ram was angrily glaring at the two not approving of the would-be relationship.
"Oh um wow… What was our life like?" Subaru smiled, putting a hand behind his head before answering. "I guess I would call it sweet."
Rem's eyes widened a bit. How happy would she have been if she took his hand? Oh god.
Emilia's eyes widened the most. The realization that there was a chance that he could've had a better life away from her? She shed a single tear. Why was she so stupid, Why was she so dense. She decided that she would be the best choice for him no matter what, she would educate herself, she would be a better partner for him.
"Well I mean we had some problems along the way but I'd say we are happily married," Subaru continued chuckling at the end of his sentence.
Rem nodded and smiled, shedding a single tear. She remembers Subaru saying that they could get married and get kids. She was still a little shocked that she and Subaru actually got married even though it's in a different reality.
The rest of the cast realized the keyword as well. Ram showing her disgust on her face, even though she was disgusted, she was also glad that her sister got the happiness she wanted with the man she loved.
Emilia was of course jealous as she wanted to be the one to marry Subaru. Even when she didn't know what love was or what it felt like, she still knew that she would marry Subaru at one point.
"If you don't mind me saying, it feels really weird seeing my wife with short hair and the old maid outfit. Hehe." Subaru rubbed his head as he began to relax and accept the whole situation.
"I had long hair in your reality?" Rem asked.
"Yeah! We both decided to grow our hair out once we settled at Banan."
"Wait can I touch your hair?" Rem asked out of a sudden, not caring what the others or her sister might think, this was a golden opportunity to feel Subaru's long hair.
"NO!" Emilia and Crusch screamed in unison. Emilia was too jealous to see Rem touch the hair of the man she loved and Crusch just wanted to be the first one to touch it before anyone else.
"Yeah for sure!" Subaru smiled and just accepted his fate, he couldn't argue with his wife, he had seen what would happen if she was angry or when she wanted something from him. And who could refuse a cute face like that?
Rem touched Subaru's hair and was instantly in love even more than she already was, she was amazed at how smooth it felt.
"Woooow! Your hair is so smooth, Subaru-kun!" Rem announced which made Crusch want to touch Subaru's hair, even more, Ricardo and the twins noticed this and just smiled at their boss's new cute side, Felix had a tiny bit of jealousy in him but couldn't complain because of how he had belittled Subaru all those times.
"Subaru-sama. May- May I touch your hair as well…?" Crusch asked with a blush on her cheeks.
"Heh, Ummm, sure I guess."
As the girls were having their fun with Subaru's long hair there was one silver-haired girl just pouting on her seat while holding a very dear Subaru in her hands. She began caressing his hair trying to block out the noise made by the girls.
"Uhm. I believe that would be enough already, we have more pressing things to discuss." Wilhelm announced to the two girls, which made them jump a little as they were too focused on his hair.
The two girls quickly ran to their seats and looked down in embarrassment. The sword demon was quite scary when needed and he could easily grab attention as he chose to speak when needed to.
"Yeah so, I believe I haven't met a few people here." Subaru noted mainly switching his gaze on a golden-haired sharp-fanged woman, a golden-haired also sharp-fanged young short boy which would mean that the two of them are related. Also, the gray-haired man who was talking to him a while ago.
Frederica was preparing to introduce herself first, standing up she opened her mouth but a certain person was quicker.
"I'm Garfiel n' I'm the shield o' th' Emilia camp, CAPTAIN!" Garfiel said proudly, trying to make an impression on his captain.
Subaru noted his weird speaking style but didn't think much of it. He also noted his body language, standing straight and proud like he was trying to make an impression on him, but why?
Frederica growled at her stupid brother but moved her attention to the "guest".
"Allow me to introduce myself. I am Frederica Baumann. I am a maid for the Emilia camp. And I am Garfiel's sister." She smiled, proudly showing her sharp teeth to Subaru which he didn't mind.
Petra kept looking at Frederica like she was taking notes for the future.
Roswaal smiled, as he was truly proud of his maids.
Subaru noted how she didn't have the same speaking habit as her little brother, which kind of confused him.
And finally, Otto stood up, again taking his hat off to introduce himself.
"My name is Otto Suwen. I am the Head of Internal Affairs of the Emilia camp. Pleased to meet you."
Subaru smiled at Otto's introduction. He seemed like a nice guy, that he would love to bully as a brother. But unfortunately, he wouldn't have the chance to do so. Perhaps in a different lifetime.
A couple of seconds went by with no one knowing what to say or ask so Subaru himself decided to ask the cast something.
"So if I understood correctly. Our difference is that he continued to fight and I ran? Jeez, I am a coward aren't I." Subaru looked disappointed with himself with many of the cast looking at him with sympathy and realizing how similar he and their Subaru were. Of course, there was Priscilla who was glad that this worthless man-child realized how cowardly he was.
"But anyway… What happened after your Subaru stayed to fight?" Subaru didn't even know himself if he wanted to know what would have happened but if he didn't, it would just press him every night with theories forming in his head.
Most of the cast looked in a little surprisement that he actually wanted to know about his traumatic past and what more would have happened.
"Are you sure?" Reinhard asked.
"Eh what is done is done, there is no changing the past anymore even if I wanted to. But if I didn't know what happened to him after he stayed, I don't know if I could sleep at night, to be honest." Subaru looked at the ceiling explaining himself. Scared of what this might bring.
"Alright then, we'll tell you if you really want to know." Reinhard answered him and then looked at the cast to find someone who could explain to Subaru what happened to his other self.
Rem wanted to be the one that explained everything, it only made sense that she should do it.
"After you didn't run away with Rem, We got the help of Crusch-sama to fight the White whale, We had to blow up Flugel's tree to finally kill it. Many lives were lost but at the same time, many were saved. After that, you went to save the Irlam Village and the Emilia camp. Rem, unfortunately, was no longer accompanying you because Rem had to rest after the fight. With the help of Julius, Wilhelm, Felix, Ricardo, Tivey, Mimi, and Hetaro. You all managed to defeat Sloth and the witch cultist. You finally met with Emilia, and made up with her." Rem looked down like she was disappointed in herself.
Subaru looked in awe but noticed that most of the cast looked like they were sad about this, especially Rem.
"Why does everyone look like they are so sad? Did… something bad happen because of this?"
"After everything… Rem and Crusch-sama were traveling back home while our transport was attacked by Greed and Gluttony. We didn't stand a chance. Crusch-Sama lost her memories due to Gluttony's power while I-" Rem was beginning to sob but she had to finish this last sentence, she had to be strong enough to even do that.
"Rem fell into a coma and... was forgotten by the whole world… except… you." Rem was now fully sobbing, with her hand on her face she let all of her emotions out. Crusch was patting Rem's back trying to console. Crusch had never done something like this before because her personality was supposed to be mainly to seem like she was powerful, so this was something new to her.
Subaru was conflicted, on the one hand, he succeeded in his duty, he killed the white whale, he defeated Sloth and the witch cultist, he finally met with Emilia which at the time felt like the most important thing in the world. But on the other hand, he lost something valuable, someone, valuable. The best wife in the world. Rem.
Subaru didn't know what to do, he wanted to go help her wife but at the same time she wasn't his wife, so Subaru was just stuck standing there looking like an idiot, not knowing what to do.
"I don't get it... Why didn't I reset to save you?"
"Ya did but…" Garfiel answered, not daring to look into Subaru's eyes. Somehow even though Garfiel was disappointed in himself, he was supposed to be the shield of the Emilia camp and protect them all. Even though this was in the past and he couldn't do anything about it, it still pissed Garfiel off.
"Your reset point was updated to after Rem's passing." Otto continued for Garfiel.
Subaru had the biggest face of disappointment and dread. He did all of that, suffered all of that only to fail again!? He now knew that he chose the right option way back then.
"I see. I'm glad then" Subaru's face turned into a blank one.
Everyone looked at him like they were all petrified, didn't he have any regret for the ones he left behind?
"You're glad?! Don't you at least feel regret or anything else?" Crusch asked after a while of being all silent.
"Yes, I am glad, I now know that I chose the right option, I would save Rem no matter what."
Rem stopped crying and listened carefully.
"Of course, I feel regret for leaving all of you behind, I regret being so weak that I couldn't save you guys, I regret leaving you all to die and not save you from Sloth, I regret leaving the girl behind that I promised to save no matter what." Emilia's ears perked up at this and had a frown on her face. She remembered how Subaru promised to save her on his first death.
Subaru took a long breath and continued.
"I regret many things but I do not regret the life I have now, I have an amazing wife who I love to spend my time with, I have made great friends in Kararagi, and also all kinds of memories that I do not want to lose, I finally have a job that pays after so long of working here and there, and best of all I have two amazing children." Subaru smiled as memories of his children began to play in his mind, memories of Rigel and Spica.
Rem's surprise was immeasurable, she would've loved to spend time with her kids even though they weren't hers logically thinking. Even the minimum, seeing them would have been enough for her. She wondered what kinds of name's she and Subaru came up with for their children.
Beatrice always knew that she would outlive his beloved contractor, so she plotted to spend her time with his children eventually. She would've wanted to meet his children, but oh well, can't have everything in the world, can you? She also thought to herself that were they as reckless as Subaru himself?
Ram was shivering in disgust, imagining what kinds of acts her sister and that Barusu did in the bedroom. she's going to kill him sooner or later. Even though she began respecting him, over the months of spending time with him and watching his journey, she still didn't approve of something like this.
Al smiled at Subaru and thought to himself. "Good job bro, you got your happy ending." He went from a disrespectful kid who embarrassed himself to the whole state of Luganica to a respectable man with a family.
Of course, all of the girls who were all over Subaru felt jealous as they heard the revelation, with Emilia being the most affected.
"You had children with Rem?" Emilia had to make sure that she heard correctly, Subaru had kids with Rem?
"Yes... We first had a son and named him Rigel, he's 11-years old right now and he's one feisty kid. We had a girl recently and named her Spica. I love them both so very much."
Emilia pouted, crossed her arms, and thought "What even are those names?! Chocorina and Tonnura are way better names". Even though Emilia was jealous she was also increasingly sadder. The fact that Subaru chose Rem over her, pained her greatly like her chest was on fire. She made a promise to make everything up to Envy Subaru as soon as he woke up.
A few seconds went by with no one saying anything. The fiery-haired lady had had enough of this foolish and unimportant conversation.
"I once again ask. Why was this filthy dog brought to my attention? Hmph! The only thing you did was run away, leaving everyone behind." Priscilla haughtily said, demanding an answer to why her time was being wasted like this.
Once again everyone glared at the bitch, except Al who was ready to protect her lady in case some unfortunate person decided to do something not so smart.
"Heh. I forgot how much of an arrogant person you were Pris." Subaru snapped back at her. Resulting in Priscilla only making a TCH noise.
As she didn't have anything else to say, Subaru started explaining himself.
"I mean… Can you blame me? I was losing my mind back then, I couldn't see any way out. Sure I might have been cowardly, sure I might be some useless commoner who left his friends to die. But I would love to see what you would have done if you were in my situation with only my powers and experience." Subaru wasn't much of an arguer, but even he could be annoyed every now and then.
Priscilla didn't have anything to respond to. It was true that she had better opportunities than him, had far more experience than him especially in fighting, she had more people who could fight for her. Perhaps she should let this one go.
Al found himself surprised that her lady wasn't responding like she usually would. Only settling on silence. Well, perhaps there is a first time for everything.
Felt had the biggest grin possible on her cute face. She was glad that this bitch was finally shut down.
Anastasia decided to ask as she needed to know everything that happened in Luganica after he left. She had speculated about the damage that could have happened if Subaru was not there to help everyone, but she needed to be sure.
"Excuse me. Natsuki-kun what exactly happened back in Luganica after you left?"
Subaru looked at the ground, remembering his failings and regrets.
"Well as you all probably know. The Emilia camp was slaughtered by the witch cult… because of me. The Crusch camp was completely demolished by the White whale, Anastasia's camp also suffered some casualties and Crusch was apparently forgotten by the whole world. Roswaal's body wasn't found, he seemed like he just vanished off the face of the world. As for the king, I'm sorry but, I am not sure as I haven't been to Luganica in a long, long time, nonetheless heard anything about what's going over there."
Emilia's camp knew that they all would've died without Subaru, but it still hurt nonetheless.
Crusch, Willhelm, and Felix knew that they didn't stand a chance against the Hakugei without Subaru and Rem. They both played a big part in planning, killing, and even motivating the soldiers to fight. But completely demolished? And Crusch being forgotten by the world?
Felix didn't know where he would be without Crusch, she saved him when he most needed saving.
Wilhelm was angered because he didn't succeed in avenging his wife in this reality. Wilhelm considers Subaru as his other grandson, having the utmost respect for Subaru-dono for allowing him to kill the white whale, but the man that was standing in front of everyone, he was far from being his grandson.
Crusch herself thought that forgetting everything was bad enough. But basically dying with everyone forgetting her? She was now glad of her situation, even though it wasn't perfect, it was way better than dying and being forgotten by the whole world, with every single accomplishment and failure also erased.
Roswaal speculated what he would do if Subaru had left. He would at that time be at the sanctuary so did he stay there or why didn't he go and find Subaru and at least make him reset? 400 years of trying to resurrect his teacher, with the key being Subaru and his ability to loop. That progress was just lost due to one person running away.
Everyone already knew after the viewings how important Subaru Natsuki really was. One decision of his could change the outcome of everything. Choosing one thing could mean one person dying, and then the other could mean multiple people dying, all the while he was suffering by himself, unable to talk about anything in fear of the pain, as they saw all of his self-harm tendencies they realized how broken he truly was, no wonder this Subaru ran away, no one could handle that kind of trauma. But their Subaru? He truly was the strongest man alive, maybe not physically, but mentally the strongest.
"I would like to know what happened after… Rem fell asleep? I at least seem to have found a way to wake you up but what else?" Subaru was glad that he at least had succeeded in one thing.
"No… Rem should still be asleep, Rem was only woken up to see Subaru-kuns adventure" Rem said in a calm voice as she knew how this would pain him.
Subaru wore a depressed face, he not only let his wife go into a coma but he still hasn't found a way to awaken her. Even though this Rem in front of him wasn't his wife, it still hurt him to know he failed her.
Most of the cast noticed this, but Felt screamed first.
"But big bro is working very hard to awaken Rem!" Felt saw how he cried and promised to save Rem during the viewings. His big bro wouldn't stop for anything if he knew he had the chance to help the ones he loved.
"Mmhm!" Mimi agreed.
Subaru's face turned from a depressive one to a relaxed one with a slight smile.
"Please tell me more." He needed to know more. He necessarily didn't need to know more, but he owed it to them. For the sin of being too slothful, he shall learn.
Otto agreed to explain more.
"After killing Sloth, you managed to make up with Emilia and learned that Rem's name was eaten by gluttony as we said earlier. Right after that, you had to go to a place called the Sanctuary which has been protected by the Roswaal family throughout generations, which was also basically -UHM- a prison for Demi-humans." Otto loudly coughed, looking at Roswaal while clearly saying the prison part, which Roswaal just ignored.
"N' that's where ya met my amazin' self!" Garfiel once again proudly voiced out.
"Yes… that's where you met a very defensive Garfiel." Garfiel growled at Otto's response.
"Around the Sanctuary there was a border which prevented Demi-humans from leaving, to destroy this border Emilia-sama had to take three trials which mainly focused on the past, present and future." Otto went on without going into too much detail as it was unneeded. Also avoiding the death parts as he didn't want to talk about anything related to death right now. Especially the rabbits. Quite frankly the other cast accepted this like it was an agreement to not talk about his deaths. The horrors they witnessed were enough, they didn't need to talk about them anymore.
Subaru was beyond confused. The Sanctuary, weird name? But then where did Frederica and Otto appear from? There was no way he didn't die during that 'Sanctuary'. He needed to ask.
"Um did I die an-"
Otto cut Subaru off as fast as he could after he heard the word "die".
"After clearing the trials, the Sanctuary was soon after freed and there was a ceremony for you as you were finally knighted to Emilia's knight"
Emilia softly smiled at the memory of that night. How Subaru called her cute, how they both danced, and their night talk. She could never forget that memory.
Subaru didn't necessarily feel anything, because he loved Rem and Rem only. But he was grateful that the other version of him got to be with the one he loves most and become her knight.
A loud click was heard and everyone, except Subaru, turned to the screen anticipating the new voice.
I'm sorry but time is running out. You only have a couple of minutes until Subaru has to go back to his reality.
The voice went silent again and Subaru was frantically turning and tossing as he didn't know of the voice. He asked terrified of the voice.
"What was that!?"
"Oooooh, that's just our "Warden" as he likes to call himself." Anastasia answered with a smile on her face.
Subaru had no choice but to relax as he wouldn't get any other logical response either way.
"Hmmm welp as seeing there's only a couple of minutes left, I would like to apologize to you all. Even though I am not your Subaru and you haven't suffered due to my actions. I still need to apologize and this is the perfect chance to do so."
Subaru bowed down to the cast and spoke.
"I am utterly sorry to everyone that I was too weak to protect and left behind. I had the chance but was too slothful to do so. I am so sorry…" Subaru shed a few tears. At last, he had the chance to apologize face to face. He will still live with the regret of not saving them, but he shall live for them and raise his children to be stronger than him.
The cast didn't know what to say.
Emilia. Who currently was hugging his counterpart as hard as she could without breaking him with her strength.
Their eyes caught each other and Emilia instantly went into a panic.
"Eh!? What? No! Wait, I mean-"
"Emilia..."
Subaru caught Emilia's attention. Emilia noticed that Subaru didn't use Tan at the end, which hurt her.

But I can see you all care about him so that must mean he loves you all. Especially you Emilia, most out of anyone."
Emilia finally got closure from this Subaru. She completely turned red from Subaru mentioning that her Subaru loves her, sure she had heard Subaru announcing his love for him, but this just felt new, especially since she understood what she felt now, which was love for her Subaru.
"I used to hide behind a mask a lot back then. I hid my pain from everyone as best as I could. So for my last request to all of you. Please protect him."
Most of the cast nodded, and others were only hearing out what he had to say as they weren't necessarily that close with Subaru.
Without any warning, Subaru's whole body slowly started turning white, which must mean it's time to go home. He turned to Rem and gave a warm smile while saying.
