Ji-Ho was over his head for what was like an hour.
There was no time limit so he didn't need to rush.
This was about the difficulty of the mission.
Especially the second one.
Micheal had returned to the living room and was now busy with his device.
Ji-Ho wasn't sure but then decided to try his luck with Micheal.
"Hey, Mr. Micheal.." He called out, trying not to feel nervous.
The man paused and gently lifted his eyes to him, "Call me Micheal, Kid. Are you ready now?"
"No, I mean I need time. I have something bothering my mind. You might have answers to them" Ji-Ho scratched his brows, unsure of what his response would be.
"Shoot," Micheal said casually and retreated his phone.
Ji-Ho cleared his throat and hesitated before saying, "It's about the Vitalian test subjects. I'm curious about them"
Sincerely, he was personally curious about Lunara and how she had ended up as a test subject in Kim and Kang Technologies.
Micheal already explained the experiment they were carrying so he wasn't sure what the system really wanted.
"Hmm.."Micheal rubbed his chin and said, "I've told you about the experiments already. Kim and Kang Technologies are trying to extract the energy essence of the Vitalian test subjects"
Ji-Ho nodded but then inquired, "How did they get Vitalians? Vitalians have not appeared in Seoul in about a year"
"I have no idea. They probably got their hands on a couple of em in their pure forms. Vitalians exist in different forms, I believe you know that already. Some are reptiles, some are winged creatures in the form of birds, some are like insects just like the one that got into you, and the rarest form is humanoid form. The ones currently in the possession of Kim and Kang Technologies are in insect form. They are kept in the fifth stage of the underground which is the second to the last door. Before experiments are carried on, a certain gas is released into the room and the subjects are kind of weakened from what I've seen in the various footage. The scientist who goes in is also clothed in protective gear in case things go wrong. An explosion had happened in the lab while they were experimenting on the subject currently inside of you. I've watched tens of experiment footage and it has never happened before. The insect escaped into the third underground stage and you should know the rest. That's where you had died " Ji-Ho was enlightened by this explanation and nodded slowly.
" So, they still have more subjects like the one in me? "He asked Micheal who was about to return to using his phone.
" Yeah. I'm sure they're back to work with a better precaution. If the calculation is done well, the subjects are not less than ten. Many have should I say died, during the cause of the experiment. They explode into light and that's all"

He was surprised. That was all the information Lunara wanted.
Ji-Ho was suddenly afraid because he was beginning to guess Lunara's next mission.
A suicide mission to retrieve the subjects from Kim and Kang Technologies.
She was one of them and had escaped.
If they had emotions like these, she would be planning something.
Maybe she would even take over his body to handle it herself.
As long as he doesn't die, he won't die.
Lunara was far more powerful than his current state and Micheal had earlier testified to the efficiency of her abilities.
The guards she killed were no ordinary people.
The big question was why wasn't she controlling him like she did from the start?
She wanted to use him to take revenge of some sort, he knows that already but why isn't she carrying it out herself?
Could she perhaps like him or something?

His face turned red remembering how beautiful she looked even without facial organs.
Ji-Ho quickly composed himself on seeing her warning.
This alien woman could suddenly bring up the time limit or a harsher punishment for failure.
"Um..." Ji-Ho scratched his head and wasn't sure how to phrase the question he wanted to ask.
"You'll be helping me kid. So ask whatever you want if it's going to help our intended operation" Micheal said this and the door was opened for Ji-Ho to ask, "Do you know Gwan Joon?"
Micheal's eyes dimmed and Ji-Ho added, "He's a security guard at Kim and Kang Technologies"
"Gwan Joon? Um..." His eyes suddenly lit up, "Yeah. I think he is one of the underground guards if my memory is clear. I'm not so sure. I'm not familiar with their names"
Ji-Ho rubbed his brows and wondered what he was going to do.

What? He blinked his eyes.
"Dude, are you alright? You keep looking up" Micheal was observant enough to notice the strangeness around Jin Ji-Ho whenever he checked the system screen which was invisible to others.
"Yeah. It's a lot to process. Everything about Kim and Kang, and--"
Ji-Ho had stopped abruptly because there was another message from the system.

What? " K-Casino Paradise? "He knows just the spot but how did the system know the current location of this guard?
Micheal didn't say it.
Does it mean Micheal's help wasn't needed from the start?

There's only one way to confirm the legitness of the system.
He had to go for the mission right away even though he had no plan for what he was going to do.
"Hey, Micheal. I'll be back" Ji-Ho hurried out of the building, not giving a chance for him to ask questions.
The distance from the target was constantly changing but he paid less attention because he knew the place.
Ji-Ho peddled his bicycle away as fast as he could and couldn't stop thinking about where he was headed.
Maybe he should have invited Micheal to help and not be greedy over an extra 100XP.
He wasn't an FBI agent like Micheal who claimed to have killed someone.
Same Micheal is talking about killing all members of the Apex Gang who know about his death.
That guy is crazy.
Unlike him, he was Ji-Ho, a student, a loser with no experience whatsoever.
But another reason he didn't invite Micheal was because of questions.
How does he know about Gwan Joon and his location?
Micheal shouldn't know too much about the system and his ability.
Although Ji-Ho was lost in thought, he still paid attention to the road and his Stamina and Speed which were slowly decreasing.

He was peddling so fast like someone who had escaped an asylum.
On the seat, he was stable and wasn't even feeling fatigue or the urge to fall.

Min Ji-Ho was suddenly caught off guard by the system message.
What? He raised his head and saw a yellow holographic arrow pointing at a man who was walking out of the Casino.
He appeared to be engrossed in his phone.
Ji-Ho got down from his bicycle and stared at the man.
His heart was pounding fast.
How was he expected to capture a full-grown man?
The man was even a guard. Someone who is trained or a gifted person.
Lunara will be the death of him.
When the man got into the Mercedes-Maybach parked in front of the Casino, Ji-Ho realized he was about to drive away.
Wouldn't this be troublesome?
Ji-Ho quickly ran forward and stood in front of the vehicle, unsure of what to do.
They were in public.
Gwan Joon on his end was having a bad day.
From losing all of his colleagues at work to losing his job.
The previous day, he and colleagues at work had tried to capture an escaped test subject only to find an unconscious boy in the place.
He went away to get the first aid kit only to return and find the horror of his life.
There was a sea of blood in the hallway carrying various body parts.
The walls and ceiling were painted of blood and body parts hung everywhere.
He was left traumatized on the spot.
The Chairman sacked him for a reason best known to him and now he was jobless.
He turned the ignition of the vehicle and the headlights shone brightly.
Joon's heart missed a bit and his eyeballs almost dropped the moment he saw the figure standing in front of his car.
The headlights illuminated the boy making his face visible.
"This..." He was dumbfounded.
This was the boy they found in the hallway the previous day.
Wait a minute... He didn't die with his colleagues.
Was this a ghost?
Slowly, he got out of the vehicle and stared keenly at Ji-Ho.

Ji-Ho was still thinking about what to do when the system message came and a directional arrow.
Without thinking twice, he followed the arrow and crossed to the other side of the street.
"Hey, Boy...!" Seeing him running, Joon called out and closed the door of the vehicle.
He followed him quickly.
If he took this boy back to their Chairman and told him what he knew, maybe he could get his job back.
Could this boy be responsible for whatever happened to his colleagues?
Ji-Ho was halfway through the alley when the holographic directional arrow disappeared.

He halted abruptly and his heart pounded.
Was Lunara planning to take over?

Joon appeared in the dark alley and looked straight at Ji-Ho who was standing.
"You, it was you back at that place. What happened to my colleagues?" He asked inching closer to the boy.
Ji-Ho remained silent but said internally, 'Alright Lunara. Take over like you want'
There was no response.
"I'm taking you over to Kim and Kang Technologies. You're going to explain there" Joon said as he got to Ji-Ho and grabbed him by the shirt.
What? Wasn't Lunara planning something?
Wait a minute... She gave him the mission to find and capture the man.
Lunara wanted him to do it.
Fvck!
"Come with me" Joon dragged him away but midway Ji-Ho pushed him slightly and stepped back.
"Stay back" He warned.
'Oh fvcking hell... What am I supposed to do?' He was confused.
Joon suddenly laughed and started rolling his sleeves, "Do you think I'm here to play? Boy. Today, I'll take you to the company and you'll tell me what happened to my colleague. I'll take you by force"
After these words, he rushed forward to grab Ji-Ho who quickly raised his hand, activating Defense.

His reflective force pushed Joon backward and he gasped.
At first, he wasn't sure so he rushed again and tried to punch Ji-Ho this time.
Ji-Ho activated his defense again and the man staggered back, almost falling to the ground.

"A gifted?" His eyes opened in bewilderment.
He saw the boy as a regular person but he could actually protect himself.
What if he is gifted then?
Joon sneered, "You think big of yourself, Boy. Do you think you can protect yourself forever with whatever repulsion ability you have?"
Gwan Joon touched the wall of the alley while gazing at Ji-Ho who was still entangled in thoughts.
Ji-Ho's jaw almost dropped when he saw fragments of the wall breaking off and attaching themselves to the arm of the man.
He was gifted.
Oh hell!
'Lunara, take over' He was going to piss on himself right now.
She snubbed him again. Not even a system message.
In less than a minute, Joon's both hands was now covered with stone debris, forming a stone-type of gaulet.
His ability was been able to absorb materials especially metal to form a powerful coat of it over his hands.
This boy was no match for him and he could only beat him to a pulp.
"Last warning. Come with me" Joon's voice was authoritative as he now turned to Ji-Ho who was fidgeting.
Because there was no response, Joon sprung forward and attached Ji-Ho to the stone gauntlet.
Bam! The attack bounced when it got close to Ji-Ho's face.

Ji-Ho's face turned pale in an instant.
He lost 5 Defense points in one go???
Joon turned slightly and directly his other gauntlet at Ji-Ho's face.
The holographic shield was still up so he defended himself but,

The shield vanished.

Was this how terrifying the gifted were?
He lost all his Defense stat points in the twinkle of an eye.
Joon didn't see the shield vanish but attacked with his right gauntlet.
Ji-Ho was quick to move and his movement was accompanied by a gush of air.

"Wow..." Joon was surprised and said, "You have two abilities? The defending one and fast motion? Still, I'll kick your ass today"
He was proud and pulled at Ji-Ho again.
The latter who wasn't sure what to do, flashed to the left with his speed again.

Ji-Ho was tempted to run away but he remembered what happened when he tried to escape from his Daily Quest.
Moreover, Lunara was inside of him, he couldn't escape her.
But then, he would eventually exhaust his Speed and be forced to refill with XP.
Just like now, he's forced to do so with his Defense.

Joon attacked again and Ji-Ho was able to escape to the other side with his Speed.

Joon giggled and started taking steps back, "Your movement is impressive but I've been playing with you. Now, let's be done"
With that, he dashed forward.
Midway, the man placed his foot on the wall and directed himself to the other side of the wall where he almost bounced himself before stretching straight at Ji-Ho.
The move had made Joon's movement unpredictable.
Ji-Ho dashed to the left but surprisingly, the gauntlet hit his back strongly.

He fell against the wall and Joon's fist was coming at him already.

Ji-Ho instantly regretted using defense but he had no choice.
The man wasn't giving him space to--
Joon directed his two gaulets at Ji-Ho this time and the speed it moved was different.
Ji-Ho was quick to dash but the movement was pretty swift.
He hit his head against the wall.

Luckily, his HP was untouched.
The man had moved at a faster speed that was why he reacted this way.
"Enough!" Joon roared and directed his right gauntlet at Ji-Ho.
The unexpected happened.
The fragments of stones all fired away from his skin and moved straight at Ji-Ho.
The movement was swift and gave him little to no time to react.
He activated defense but,

Several stones hit the shield powerfully and one struck him right in the forehead once his shield vanished,

This angered Ji-Ho and he fell straight to the ground.
"Why am I not attacking?" He finally asked himself the question and realized he had delivered a punch.
He was scared, that's why.
Fear had him strangled and seeing the damage being done to his points, he understood Lunara wasn't coming to his rescue.
She said he was easily disposable and now he knows better.
He needed to do what the mission asked.
There was no escaping it.
Joon grabbed him by the caller and cursed, "Let's go now or I'll beat you till you're unconscious"
This made Ji-Ho's eyes light out.
Could this be the way he was supposed to capture this man?
How was it even possible?
The man tried pulling him away but he activated defense, causing the shield that throw him away.
Ji-Ho had now decided to try and do something since Lunara was ignoring him.
He dashed forward using his speed and directly his fist at Joon.

He used his strength but Joon blocked it with his stone gauntlet.

He was about to run low on stamina so he added more and,

To refill the used point since he would be attacking.
Despite blocking, a fragment of the stone was shattered off by Ji-Ho's punch.
One thing he learned from Joon was that he didn't give him a chance to recover and strategize, so he attacked again.
This time, he used an even greater energy to direct the punch and he made sure his movement was swift so speed would be added for assist.

Joon was still blocking but on impact, he was sent flying over and crashed against the wall.
Ji-Ho gasped in shock.
Did he just do this to a gifted person?
This only, sprouts hope in his heart and he realizes the man isn't invisible.
He had the ability to touch him but at the cost of many stat points,

If he moved one leg fast at the start? He gets - 1 but when he moves both legs super fast, perhaps when he is attacked, there is a - 2 and he moves faster with this.

He wanted to get to Joon fast so he moved his both legs quickly and achieved it instantly.
Ji-Ho directed his fist straight at the face was the recovering man.
While he was coming, he gathered enough energy in his fist and swung powerfully with the assist of speed, giving no chance for Joon to dodge.
He blocked with his gauntlets instead.
The punch made contact with the gauntlets.
Bam! Bam!

First, the coating stones shattered on impact, letting the fist come in contact with the now-exposed hand.
A crisp noise was heard as Joon's bone broke.
He cried with a loud voice as the impact finally sent him crashing to the ground.
Ji-Ho pulled him by the collar and tightened his fist, "Please work"
Bam! He had hit Joon over the face, hoping he would pass out.

He had exhausted his strength point but the man didn't pass out.
Joon's lip was broken and the part of his cheek where Ji-Ho punched, was swollen.

JI-Ho added more points to do the job.
He felt terrible and evil but this was the only method he could think of right now.

"Arrgh! Please let me go. I promise I'll stay away from you" Joon cried in pain.
His face was now red and swollen like that of a pig.
"Then fvcking pass out!" Ji-Ho was feeling depressed as he landed another punch.

The man slumped from his grip to the ground and he gasped.
Did he kill him?

The system brought out the message and just when he thought he was free,

Ji-Ho's face turned pale and he almost screamed out his lungs.
This was giving out a serial killer vibe.
