Chapter 3 - Leaving

With no concept of time, Harry didnt know when he went to sleep on the night of the party. But before going to sleep, he made sure to enjoy a little. He indulged himself with some green meat and some sort of orange color juice and managed to converse with some of his siblings.

When he finally retired to the tent with his siblings, he went to sleep immediately. It was a long day for him, and he could use some rest.

Harry was then woken up by violent shaking. When he opened his eyes, he saw that the tent that they were sleeping under was gone. Imka was standing over him, "Wake up, Adui," he said. "We are leaving."

When he looked around, Harry saw that it was still dark outside. The moon of the world had obviously moved, and from its trajectory, he gathered that the sun was about to rise.

These guys dont look evolved enough to have any knowledge of time or timekeeping. Then how the fuck were they able to wake up without an alarm clock? He thought while standing up.

Most of the children of his age were reluctant to wake up, but with violent shaking of adults they all soon stood up. From what Harry saw, they were the only ones awake at that time. He also noticed that the adults were working efficiently and while being silent, almost as if they didnt want to inform anyone of their departure…

All of their stuff was loaded on four big carts. These carts have a bunch of stuff, ranging from leather, herbs, and weird glowing stones to their tent material. There were a couple of things in the carts that got Harry interested, but he didnt have the time to ask around about those items. Because he was now facing a problem that he didnt like.

There were four carts, all the adults were carrying weapons like spears and bows. But there were no animals or automata in sight. Instead, the children had gathered in front of the carts.

Surely not. They are not going to use children now, are they?

Harry received a smack on his head. He looked back to see Groga standing behind him. He was the chief of their tribe; at least, that was what he was able to gather yesterday. Groga was this hulking figure, bald, with most of his body riddled with tribal tattoos. The guy was very intimidating, children were very afraid of the person.

"Get to your cart, boy," Groga said, glaring at him.

Rubbing the back of his head, Harry made his way to the only cart, which seemed to be missing a person. With all carts having at least three children to pull them, they were ready to set out. Without further ado, Groga ordered them to move.

They made their out of the small town quietly. It is when Harry noticed that something didnt feel right, there was this tension in the air that he could feel. He noticed that the adults in the group seemed to be tense. Their eyes were constantly looking around, trying to spot something peculiar. And they seemed to be tense ever since they left the town.

Seeing their actions, Harry theorized that maybe all the clans that were in the town, were not as close as seemed. During the party everyone seemed to enjoying each other company, but this paints whole other picture scenario.

Maybe.. No one can show hostility towards each other in the town. He theorized. During the party he had gathered enough information to understand that Agora is suppose to be scared thing for all the clans. It made sense that no fighting was allowed in the town.

With adults looking around, Harry focused on the only task that he had. Pulling the cart was the easy part, the difficult part was navigating through rough terrain with so much load on your back. There were rocks on the ground that could potentially pierce their skin when stepped on. Not to mention the wheels of the cart were handmade and full of imperfections. Which is why they were not even rotating properly.

"Keep your guards up," Groga mumbled when they had traveled around a kilometer away from the town. Everyone looked more serious for some reason. Harry, on the other hand, was not thinking straight at the moment. Because his attention was translucent barrier that they were approaching.

With the sun rising in the horizon, the barrier was reflecting its rays on them. From what his eyes could scan, the barrier was in the shape of a dome, a very big dome. From what he could theorized, Agora was supposbly located in the middle of the barrier.

When he saw a bird just casually inside the barrier, he questioned the purpose of the thing. If it is not meant to let anyone in, then what is its purpose?

They were able to make their way out of the barrier with ease, without even feeling discomfort. Another thing that Harry noticed was that none of the children beside him noticed the barrier. He cannot say anything about the adults.

After walking a short distance, Harry glanced back to realize that he was not able to see the barrier now. Hell, he was not able to spot Agora as well, making him realize that the purpose of the barrier is to cloak Agora.

This place is just full of mysteries, he thought. These people have the means to set up a cloaking barrier and have some sort of supernatural energy at their disposal, yet they are so backward.

It is then that Harry promised himself that once he is big and strong enough, he would love to explore what more this world has to offer…
