With Vinnie's promise to tell the truth, Alex and Sophia began to formulate a plan to take down Francesca and Marco.
"First, we need to get Vinnie to a safe location," Sophia said, her eyes scanning the area to make sure they were not being watched. "Somewhere Francesca and Marco can't find him."
Alex nodded in agreement. "I know a place," he said. "A safe house on the outskirts of town. We can take him there and keep him hidden until we're ready to make our move."
Sophia nodded, a look of approval on her face. "Good. Once Vinnie is safe, we can start gathering intelligence on Francesca and Marco's operations. We need to know their strengths and weaknesses, their habits and patterns."
Alex nodded, his mind racing with the possibilities. "I can start digging into their financial records, see if I can find any weaknesses in their operation. And I can also start gathering a team of loyal allies, people who will be willing to help us take down Francesca and Marco."
Sophia smiled, a look of excitement on her face. "I'll start gathering intelligence on the ground, talking to people who are close to Francesca and Marco. I'll see if I can find out any information about their plans, their next move."
As they talked, Alex couldn't help but feel a sense of excitement and anticipation. They were finally taking action, finally making a move against Francesca and Marco. And with Vinnie's help, they might just have a chance to succeed.
But as they finished their plan and prepared to put it into action, Alex couldn't shake the feeling that they were being watched. That Francesca and Marco were waiting for them, waiting for them to make their move.
And he was right.
As they left the warehouse and made their way back to the safe house, Alex noticed a black SUV following them. He couldn't see the occupants, but he knew they were in trouble.
"Sophia, we've got company," he said, his voice low and urgent.
Sophia's eyes locked onto the SUV, her expression cold and hard. "Let's lose them," she said.
And with that, they took off, speeding through the streets of the city, trying to shake the SUV and its occupants.
But as they drove, Alex couldn't help but wonder who was behind the wheel of the SUV. Was it Francesca, or Marco? Or was it someone else entirely?
And what did they want?
