I. WHAT IS A VEIN?
"Ang ugat ay hindi lang daluyan ng dugo—ito ang sinulid ng iyong pinagmulan."
A Vein is a spiritual artery—a metaphysical channel connecting a person to their ancestry, essence, and inner will. It exists beneath flesh and soul, and it determines one's affinity to memory, emotion, and legacy.
There are three kinds of Veins:
1. Root Veins – Basic spiritual channels. Found in all living beings. Most never awaken.
2. Blood Veins – Inherited lines from heroic or ancient ancestors. Holds cultural or elemental power.
3. Mythical Veins – Primordial threads tied to historical protectors and the Loom itself. Extremely rare.
To awaken a Vein is to resonate with one's purpose. But purpose is forged in fire, not gifted freely.
II. VEIN AWAKENING
Awakening a Vein is never gentle. It often requires emotional collapse, spiritual trauma, or ancestral intervention.
Known Awakening Methods:
1. Rift Survival – Near-death experience inside a Rift
2. Veinstone Ingestion – Consuming a spiritual relic left behind by a Rift Beast
3. Spiritual Bonding – Forming a Pact with an Eternal
4. Echo Possession – Rare case of ancestral memory forcefully awakening a host
5. Thread Baptism – Ritual done by high-level Threadweavers
Awakening always comes with risk. Some die. Others are consumed. But those who survive carry the fire of memory.
III. THE LOOM OF MEMORY
The Loom is the mythical force that weaves together all Veins. It exists beyond time—a celestial tapestry where every heroic act, betrayal, and sacrifice is sewn into eternity.
Only few can perceive the Loom. Fewer still can manipulate it.
Loom Concepts:
Threadflow – The rhythm of energy that flows through all Veinborn
Thread Severance – Cutting one's spiritual link (used to erase memories or power)
Stitching – Binding destinies, merging paths, or healing spiritual scars
The Loom is alive. And when forgotten heroes stir, it answers.
IV. RESONANCE SYSTEM
Resonance is the harmony between soul, Vein, and the Loom.
When one's purpose aligns with their blood, their Resonance awakens.
Resonance Effects:
Increased spiritual energy
Manifestation of ancestral weapons
Access to Echo Techniques (moves from memory)
Ability to connect with Eternals
Each person's Resonance is unique.
Example:
Sam's Vein doesn't just give him power—it echoes the courage of nameless protectors.
V. SPIRIT SUMMONS & PACT MECHANICS
Only those with Astral or Mythical Veins can form Pacts with Eternals—legendary spirits from Philippine history and myth.
Summon Types:
1. Partial Echo Mode – Borrows a skill, aura, or weapon technique
2. Full Spirit Summon – The Eternal manifests briefly in battle
3. Dual Soul State – Emergency fusion during life-or-death moments
Pact Requirements:
Must defeat the Eternal in a Trial of Resonance
Must align in purpose or conviction
Must offer a personal vow (spoken or spiritual)
If the user strays from the vow—the Pact fades.
VI. RESONANCE RANKS (Power Levels)
1. Unawakened – No access to Vein
2. Echo Class (E–D) – Can manipulate basic Vein energy
3. Pulse Class (C–B) – Forms a personal weapon or breath technique
4. Flow Class (A) – Uses unique skills or summons
5. Resonant Class (S–SS) – Full harmony with Vein; can alter battlefields
6. Myth Rank (SSS+) – Rare; Vein origins traced back to the Loom; can bend space/reality temporarily
VII. VEINSTONES, RIFTS, AND RIFTBEASTS
Veinstones – Crystallized spiritual remnants from defeated Riftbeasts. Used to awaken, enhance, or corrupt Veins.
Rifts – Tears in reality caused by spiritual imbalance. Portals to the Loom's broken echoes.
Riftbeasts – Manifestations of forgotten trauma, ancestral pain, or corrupted legacy.
Where Rifts appear, so too does the Loom strain—and heroes must rise.
