Chapter 21 - Chapter 21: Innate Talent – Perfect Nature

Ten minutes later.

In the bathroom, which was larger than an average bedroom.

Xi Shenlian stood before a rectangular mirror, gazing at his reflection.

The figure in the mirror was strikingly well-proportioned, with flawless fair skin that looked as though it had never been through a day of training, yet was wrapped in firm, sculpted muscle.

To be honest—

It was almost too perfect.

Like a masterwork chiseled from marble, calculated and refined down to the smallest detail.

It didn't resemble a normal human physique at all.

This level of perfection couldn't be reached even under ideal conditions, even with perfect genetics and no environmental interference.

Every curve, every muscle—flawless.

Even the idealized statues of heroes and demigods from ancient Greece paled in comparison.

But—

What Xi Shenlian was more focused on were the changes to his face and hair.

"My face looks younger and more handsome… even the color of my hair and eyes has changed…"

"And… I think I've grown taller too…"

Compared to a month ago,

He was not only better-looking—

He even looked a year or two younger.

It was like hitting a second puberty.

On top of that,

His previously short black hair had grown out, its color deepening to a dark violet. Even his eye color had shifted. Inside what once were ordinary pupils now gleamed a narrow, vertical slit—something clearly not human. This gave him visual capabilities far beyond human limits.

Hair color and eye color? Fine.

In this day and age, unusual shades were common.

With hair dye and colored contacts, anything's possible.

But vertical pupils?

That was a different story.

It reminded him of some ancient rumors—

That powerful awakened individuals often developed unique features that set them apart from normal people.

"Unusual physical traits..."

"Could this be... a gifted one?"

After thinking for a bit,

He picked up the hotel phone.

In addition to ordering more food, he also requested equipment to measure his weight and height.

More than ten minutes passed.

Standing on the electronic scale the waitstaff had delivered,

He watched as the height rod slowly descended and tapped his head.

Xi Shenlian looked at the new physical data:

Height: 185 cm

Weight: 210 catties (≈105 kg / 231 lbs)

His height had definitely increased.

And he was dozens of kilograms heavier than before.

Under normal circumstances—

That weight would make him look chubby.

But in the mirror—

Clothed, Xi Shenlian looked tall, lean, and incredibly well-proportioned—maybe even on the slim side.

In other words:

His body density was clearly abnormal.

Still—

He was quite satisfied.

"…Not bad. Not too over the top."

In his mind, 210 pounds might be a bit much, but it was still within the bounds of human norms.

At least he didn't have to worry about crushing things by sitting down.

If it were 2100 pounds, on the other hand…

He might not even fit in a car.

A little while later—

Over a dozen waiters arrived, pushing in multiple food carts.

And Xi Shenlian began a wild feeding frenzy to make up for the six days and six nights of sleep.

By now—

Due to the evolutionary changes within his body, he instinctively understood which foods were edible and nutritious, even without ever having eaten them before.

It was a strange sensation.

Like the primal intuition of wild animals—knowing which prey to hunt and which to avoid.

It went even further.

When he looked at the waiters bringing in the food, his brain would automatically analyze them.

Can I eat this?

Is it poisonous?

Is it dangerous?

Even objects like the metal tray and fork on the table—

He instinctively knew his body could digest them.

They didn't offer much nutrition.

But if needed—he could eat them.

It was a crystal-clear and inexplicable awareness…

To test this strange new instinct,

Xi Shenlian began to consume several metal plates and glass wine cups in front of the utterly horrified waiters—

As if driven by pure desperation and hunger.

What did it look like?

Well…

The taste wasn't exactly gourmet.

But his teeth crunched through the metal and glass like crackers.

His mouth and throat handled the sharp fragments without issue.

It was no harder than eating a dry biscuit.

And his stomach—like a blazing furnace—dissolved the metals and glass within seconds, breaking them down into the trace elements his body needed.

And that wasn't the end of it.

Xi Shenlian soon realized—

He no longer needed to breathe through his mouth or nose.

His skin now automatically filtered and absorbed oxygen from the surrounding air.

"…Why do I feel less and less human?"

Vaguely—

A thought crept into his mind.

Even if he were thrown into outer space with no supplies—

He might still survive.

Could he last a month?

A whole year?

He wasn't sure.

But at the very least, eating space rocks might keep him going.

This made him feel—

That he was no longer a being of Earth.

He was evolving into something else.

Something cosmic.

At that thought,

He turned his attention to the [Talent Column] on the system panel.

There—

A brand-new talent shimmered with strange brilliance.

[Perfect Nature]

All creatures possess instincts—like the need to eat, or the sixth sense. These subconscious abilities often guide decisions in critical moments: Is this food poisonous? Is this place dangerous?

Your instincts, however, are on a whole different level. Perfected. Refined. They have reached a near-prophetic state, allowing you to perceive and understand truths that most can't detect—making judgments with uncanny accuracy and foresight.

This was a new innate talent,

Unlocked after Xi Shenlian's power advanced and he officially entered the [Mature Stage].

A potential that had always slumbered within him.

And in the [Life Winner System]'s internal ranking of talent strength—

This new power surpassed his original [Enlightened Wisdom], ranking clearly above it!

After scanning the details of the new talent,

Xi Shenlian's gaze naturally shifted to something else on the panel:

[Daily Mood Value Lottery – Available Draws: 30]

He wasn't particularly interested in anything specific—

But with thirty chances saved up, he figured…

Why not do a ten-draw first?
