Chapter 11 - Chapter 11: Xiao Wu

After completing the registration at the Dean's Office, Qian Yu made his way toward his assigned dormitory. As a student from Holy Soul Village, he was considered a work-study student and was therefore assigned to live in the designated dormitory for work-study students.

He walked at a steady pace toward his room, calm and composed. Qian Yu had never been picky about his living conditions—after all, he had endured far worse across his nine lifetimes. A shared room among students was nothing to him.

The layout of the academy was simple. There was only one dormitory building, which housed all the students and some teachers. Within it were seven student dorms in total.

Given that the Junior Soul Master Academy enrolled very young students, they were grouped together in large rooms for easier supervision and management.

Qian Yu was assigned to Dorm Seven.

Dorm Seven was unique—it was the only room that housed students from all grades, as long as they were work-study students. As soon as Qian Yu approached the entrance, he heard a raucous clamor echoing from inside.

The door was wide open. He stopped at the threshold and looked in.

The room was spacious—nearly three hundred square meters—with fifty neatly arranged beds. As Qian Yu stood silently at the doorway, a stocky boy noticed him and walked over.

He was taller and bulkier than most boys his age and wore a slightly arrogant expression as he sized Qian Yu up.

"New work-study student?" the boy asked, his tone condescending.

Qian Yu didn't respond. He simply brushed past him and walked toward an empty bed, settling down without a word.

"Hey! I'm talking to you!"

The boy's voice rose sharply, now tinged with anger.

"Who does this kid think he is?"

"Yeah, doesn't he know who that is?"

Someone nearby pointed at the stocky boy and said, "That's Wang Sheng, the boss of the work-study students. Everyone in Dorm Seven has to show him respect!"

At that moment, Qian Yu slowly turned his head. Without uttering a single word, he released the pressure of his level thirty Soul Power.

A chilling aura swept through the entire dormitory like a sudden drop in temperature. His cold gaze scanned the room.

The boys who had spoken instantly felt their hearts seize. It was as if death itself were staring at them. Their legs trembled, and beads of sweat rolled down their foreheads.

Wang Sheng, who was closest to Qian Yu, couldn't even remain standing—his knees buckled beneath the overwhelming pressure, and he fell to the floor with a dull thud.

The room fell completely silent. All the boys looked at Qian Yu in horror. Who was this boy, and how could he unleash such a terrifying aura?

Wang Sheng didn't hesitate. "Senior! I was blind—I didn't recognize your strength. I've offended you. From today on, you're the boss of Dorm Seven! Everyone will follow your orders!"

he declared, voice trembling with sincerity.

He quickly turned to the others. "All of you! Greet the new boss!"

Immediately, seven or eight work-study students lined up in front of Qian Yu, bowed, and called out in unison, "Boss!"

Qian Yu smiled faintly at the absurdity. Boss? It did have a certain charm.

Just then, a soft and playful voice came from the doorway. "Boss? That sounds fun. I want to be the boss too!"

Everyone turned to look.

Standing at the entrance was a charming little girl, around the same age and height as Qian Yu. Her features were exquisitely delicate—fair skin with a healthy blush, and a mischievous sparkle in her large, watery eyes.

Her black hair was tied into a long scorpion braid that reached down to her waist. A pair of rabbit ears stood perked on her head, twitching slightly. She wore simple yet clean clothes and striking red-and-white striped stockings that wrapped around her slender legs.

The moment Qian Yu heard the voice, he immediately recognized her—this was Xiao Wu. He turned to face her, and for a split second, he was stunned. There was something incredibly familiar about her presence.

He searched through the fragments of his past lives. Then it hit him.

A hundred thousand years ago, during his eighth life as a Sword God, he had ventured into the Star Dou Great Forest as a Soul Sect, searching for a suitable Soul Ring. He had encountered a ten-thousand-year-old Skyfish Eagle about to kill a small rabbit.

That eagle had been his target, and with his God-Slaying Sword, he had slain it in a single blow—rescuing the rabbit in the process.

Back then, he hadn't thought much of the rabbit.

But instead of fleeing, the little creature had followed him, rubbing affectionately against his leg. Amused, Qian Yu had picked it up and played with it.

For the rest of his time in the forest, the rabbit had quietly followed him, even letting him feed it. When it finally came time for him to leave, the rabbit had watched him go.

That rabbit's aura… it was unmistakable.

And now, standing before him was a girl radiating the exact same aura. Could it be…? Could Xiao Wu be the rabbit he had saved all those years ago? It felt like fate—almost too much of a coincidence.

Xiao Wu, meanwhile, stared curiously at Qian Yu. A strange sensation tugged at her heart. His aura felt so familiar—warm and safe. But how could she have met him before? He was clearly just a human child. Still, something about him drew her in.

With a grin, she pointed at Qian Yu and asked, "If I beat you, does that mean I get to be the boss of Dorm Seven?"

Before anyone could answer, she dashed forward. Her right leg bent and shot up, aiming a precise kick at Qian Yu's chin.

Qian Yu sighed softly and smiled. "Still so energetic…"

As her foot neared, he calmly raised one hand and caught her leg midair. Xiao Wu's eyes widened in surprise. She spun, aiming a follow-up kick with her other leg, but Qian Yu reached out again and caught that one too.

Bang!

With both legs in his grasp, Qian Yu gently tossed her onto his bed. Her small body bounced softly on the mattress before landing directly on top of him.

For a brief moment, their faces were inches apart. Xiao Wu could smell the faint scent she had once known so well. Her heart raced uncontrollably, and her face turned bright red.

"I... I lost. Let... let go of me!" she stammered, looking away, flustered.

Qian Yu chuckled softly and released her legs. Her face was flushed, her expression dazed.

Lying on his bed, Xiao Wu glanced at him shyly and asked in a voice barely above a whisper, "I feel like I've met you before… Have we… met somewhere?"
