As my head hits the pillow, I try to close my eyes. My room is dead silent. Not a noise to be heard. Nothing will disturb my rest. My mind had been racing for the past month about how things went with...
Hmm? I thought I would have been in complete darkness when I shut my eyes, but instead, I was greeted with a piercing white light around me. No matter which way I looked, there was only white around me. My own body had disappeared, I could feel myself move my hands in front of my face, but I could not see anything. It was a pure endless void of white.
I was compelled to wander in the vast expanse of light. I tried feeling for anything in front of me, for a sign of something that would meet me here. Yet my hands found nothing. As I wandered more, I still found nothing. Then more nothing, and even mor-
"Hello? Can you hear me?"
A voice interrupted my search. I attempted to say something to grab the voice's attention, but my voice was completely silent.
"That's good. At least you still acknowledge my existence." The voice sounded divine, heavenly, angelic even. "I know you can't see me, but I can see you. That's all that matters to me now." The voice seemed eerily familiar, I swear I had heard it from somewhere, somewhere in a locked part of my mind. "You don't remember me do you? That's alright, in due time we will meet again, and you'll know then. Tell you what, why do you think you're here?"
I once again tried to speak to no avail. I wanted to ask so many questions. Who are you? How do I know you? Where am I?
"Instead of asking so many questions to yourself, maybe you should look around and try to remember."
My eyes began to wonder around the white void. Nothing particular stood out to me, all I could see was pure white.
"Oh... I see. You're trying to forget me aren't you? That's why this place seems so empty to you." The voice had turned more cold. "You're wasting your life away over something you couldn't control. For what? You don't even deserve to be here."
In an instant, the white around me had vanished, I laid on my pillow as the rays of the sun brandished on my face. What a weird dream.
