Chapter 20 - The Admirals Arrive – The War for Amazon Lily Begins

The horizon darkened.

Not with storm clouds, but with the silhouettes of Marine battleships—thirty in total, their cannons primed, their decks lined with soldiers. At the forefront stood three figures, their auras radiating overwhelming power.

Admiral Kizaru (Borsalino).

Admiral Fujitora (Issho).

Admiral Ryokugyu (Aramaki).

Behind them, Vice Admirals Momonga, Onigumo, Doberman, and more stood ready, their expressions grim.

And watching from afar—Morgan's News Co. airship, broadcasting this battle live to the entire world.

The message was clear: The World Government intended to erase the Voidreign Pirates from history.

---

Jessie's Calm Before the Storm

Jessie stood at the bow of the Voidreign, his black suit fluttering in the sea breeze, his cowboy hat casting a shadow over his eyes. His crew stood behind him, their expressions a mix of excitement, tension, and indifference.

Uta twirled a strand of hair nervously.

Vash spun his revolver lazily.

Kuina rested a hand on her sword's hilt.

BlackEye (the panda) munched on bamboo, unbothered.

Seraphim Mihawk and Hancock stood like statues, golden eyes locked onto the enemy.

Admiral Ryokugyu stepped forward, his voice booming across the sea.

"Voidreign Pirates! By order of the World Government, you are to surrender immediately! If you resist… we will erase you from existence!"

A heavy silence followed.

Then—

Jessie laughed.

A deep, amused chuckle that sent a ripple of unease through the Marines.

"Don't make me bored," he said, tilting his head. "If you came all this way just to talk, then leave. If you came to fight… then stop wasting my time."

The Admirals' eyes narrowed.

Kizaru sighed dramatically. "Ohhh~ So scary~"

Fujitora gripped his sword. "Then we have no choice."

Ryokugyu cracked his knuckles. "Let's see how long that arrogance lasts."

And with that—

The battle began.

---

Uta took a deep breath, then stepped forward. Her voice, soft at first, began to rise—a haunting melody that carried across the battlefield.

"Sing… Sing…"

The air itself shivered.

A wave of sonic force erupted from her, crashing toward the Marine fleet like an invisible tsunami.

BOOM!

The sea split, ships lurched, and weaker Marines collapsed, clutching their ears in agony.

But the Admirals stood firm.

Kizaru raised a hand, his body flickering with golden light. "Yasakani no Magatama."

A barrage of light beams sliced through Uta's sound waves, dispersing the attack.

Fujitora merely twisted his blade, sending a gravity shockwave that negated the remaining force.

Ryokugyu grinned, vines sprouting from his arms to block the sound.

Kizaru sighed. "I regret not capturing you back in Elegia, little songbird~"

Uta frowned, then hmphed, retreating back to Jessie's side.

"They're tougher than I thought," she muttered.

Jessie smirked. "Good. That means this won't be boring."

---

Kuina stepped forward, her blade gleaming.

Fujitora sensed her presence and smiled.

"A swordsman… no, a Sword Saint, they call you?"

Kuina didn't answer. She simply vanished.

SHING!

Her blade clashed against Fujitora's, the impact sending shockwaves through the sea.

Fujitora's eyes widened slightly. "Fast."

Kuina flipped mid-air, slashing downward. "Tsubame Gaeshi."

Three simultaneous slashes cut through the air—but Fujitora twisted gravity, bending space itself to deflect them.

"Zushi Zushi no…" He raised his sword.

The ground beneath Kuina crumbled, an oppressive force slamming her downward.

But she rolled, flipping back to her feet, her blade still steady.

"Not bad," she admitted.

Fujitora chuckled. "Likewise."

The battle between the two intensified—blade against gravity, skill against power.

---

Vash stretched his arms, cracking his neck.

"So… you're the guy who moves at light speed, huh?"

Kizaru tilted his head. "Ohhh~ You've heard of me?"

Vash grinned. "Yeah. Let's see if you're as fast as they say."

In an instant—

BANG!

Vash's bullet tore through the air—but Kizaru wasn't there.

"Too slow~" Kizaru's voice came from behind.

Vash didn't turn. He just smirked.

"Nah. I was just warming up."

Then—

BOOM!

Vash vanished, reappearing in mid-air, his gun aimed downward.

"Angel Arm."

A beam of pure energy erupted from his revolver, engulfing Kizaru in a massive explosion.

The sea vaporized beneath the blast.

But Kizaru reformed from light, clicking his tongue.

"Tch. Annoying."

Vash landed, spinning his gun. "This is gonna be fun."

BlackEye vs. Ryokugyu – The Beast of the Void vs. the Forest God

BlackEye, the tiny panda, sat on the deck, still munching bamboo.

Ryokugyu stared.

"…A panda?"

BlackEye looked up, then stood on its hind legs, cracking its tiny knuckles.

Ryokugyu laughed. "You've gotta be kidding—"

WHAM!

BlackEye blurred, its tiny fist slammed into Ryokugyu's gut with enough force to send him skidding back.

The Admiral coughed, eyes wide.

"What the—?!"

BlackEye flexed, its fur bristling with Haki.

Then it charged.

Ryokugyu roared, vines surging from his body. "Shin Jukai!"

A forest erupted around them—but BlackEye tore through it like paper, its tiny fists shattering everything in its path.

Ryokugyu blocked, but each punch sent tremors through his arms.

"This damn panda…!"

Seraphim Mihawk & Hancock vs. The Vice Admirals – A One-Sided Slaughter

The two Seraphim moved like ghosts, their golden eyes cold.

Vice Admiral Momonga swung his sword—

CLANG!

Seraphim Mihawk parried effortlessly, then countered, sending Momonga flying.

Vice Admiral Onigumo fired his eight-sword style—

But Seraphim Hancock dodged, then kicked, her heel crushing his ribs.

The other Vice Admirals attacked in unison—

But the Seraphim moved too fast, their techniques flawless, their strength overwhelming.

Within minutes, half the Vice Admirals were down.

---

Jessie hadn't moved.

He simply observed, arms crossed, his expression unreadable.

Morgan's Den Den Mushi zoomed in on him, broadcasting his calm demeanor to the world.

"Why isn't he fighting?!" someone shouted from the Marine ranks.

Jessie smirked.

"Because my crew doesn't need me to win."

And as if to prove his point—

Kuina's blade clashed with Fujitora's, sending shockwaves.

Vash's bullets forced Kizaru on the defensive.

BlackEye pummeled Ryokugyu into the ground.

The Seraphim dismantled the Vice Admirals.
