All the low, medium, and high-level glitches had been vanquished. Before the looming presence of the system bug, only four figures remained.
To the far left, a female glitch sat regally upon a makeshift throne. Her skin held the cool hue of azure, contrasting sharply with the vibrant green of her eyes. Not particularly tall, her short, white bob framed a face that now wore an expression of utter boredom. Semi-nude, the only concession to modesty was a swirling, glitching aura of black, tinged with an unsettling green, that obscured her most vulnerable points.
Beside her, to the right, stood a completely yellow humanoid glitch. Gaunt and fragile in appearance, it remained silently upright. Its eyes were striking – black sclera framing irises of pure yellow, with pinprick black pupils. A wild tangle of black and white hair crowned its head, and its face held an unnervingly normal expression amidst the chaos.
In the center stood a more ominous figure: a completely black humanoid glitch. Pulsating lines of green energy snaked across its entire form, giving the impression of raw power barely contained. Hairless, its eyes mirrored the central figure's energy, with black sclera and piercing green pupils.
Finally, to the far right, a humanoid glitch with a body starkly divided into black and red stood with a disturbing grin plastered across its face. Its eyes, black sclera with malevolent red pupils, locked onto the approaching admins. In its grasp, it casually held an axe, its blade also a menacing blend of black and red. It, too, remained motionless, a silent threat.
No admin dared to breach the invisible line separating them from these four potent entities. A palpable tension hung in the air until Sylene's voice cut through the silence. "They are the four glitches with the most potent singularities we've sensed since before the war. Their auras… they're on an entirely different level, likely surpassing even the strongest high-level glitches."
A collective unease settled over the assembled admins. Courage faltered, and no one moved to engage. Then, a quartet of voices, strong and resolute, pierced the apprehensive quiet. "We'll handle these four!"
Saland, Shimmon, Christy, and Haytham stepped forward, each positioning themselves before one of the formidable glitches.
Christy faced the female glitch, her own aura beginning to flare with a chaotic purple energy. "My name is Christy," she declared, her voice ringing with authority, "and I am a high-level admin. Prepare to be eliminated!"
A chilling smile stretched across the azure face of the glitch. She rose gracefully from her throne, the black and green aura intensifying around her. "My name is Paymon," she purred, her voice laced with a dangerous allure, "and I am the glitch of control. Prepare to become my puppet!" An immense aura erupted from Paymon, a blinding white that contrasted sharply with Christy's turbulent violet, causing tremors to ripple through the ravaged battlefield.
Shimmon approached the yellow glitch, a thoughtful expression on his face. "I am Shimmon," he announced, his voice carrying a unique cadence, "a high-level admin. For me, beauty is paramount. And in truth, strength is beauty, and beauty is strength! Among the four of you, you possess a… particular aesthetic. I sincerely hope you will prove a worthy adversary."
The yellow glitch offered a faint smile. In the blink of an eye, its slender yellow muscles began to bulge and expand, growing rapidly until it stood as broad and imposing as Shimmon himself. The now-massive glitch clenched its fists, adopting a combat stance. "My name is Connor," it growled, its voice now deep and resonant, "and I am the glitch of strength. I will show you that your precious 'beauty' is not the only path to power."
Haytham stood before the black glitch with the pulsating green energy lines. Recognition flashed in his eyes – this was Xiao, the glitch who had tormented him and his brother. "My name is Haytham," he stated, his voice tight with barely suppressed emotion, "and I am a high-level admin. You made my brother suffer. But now that he and I are together again… we will defeat you."
Xiao's lips curled into a cruel smile, which quickly escalated into a chilling, sadistic laugh. "You truly believe you can defeat me?" he sneered. "There is no 'we' anymore. Your brother is dead, and you will soon join him." Haytham's grip tightened on the sword he held – his brother's sword. He pointed the blade directly at Xiao. "Our abilities," he declared, his voice filled with grim determination, "will be the ones to speak!"
Finally, Saland faced the black and red glitch, his gaze unwavering. "You are a blight upon this virtual world," he stated, his voice heavy with conviction. "You have caused too much suffering. We admins will eradicate you from existence!"
The black and red glitch remained unnervingly calm for a moment, then erupted in a furious roar. "You inferior beings are nothing but a disease to be purged! We glitches will become the new humans! Our race is superior! I am Beckbosbal, the glitch of fury, and I will eliminate you just like all the others!"
The final, desperate clashes had begun. But even with these formidable foes now engaged, the war against the glitches was far from over.
