There were battles going all around. Everyone were engaged in battle, the battle for their life—even though they were not going to die. Those who will lose the battle and the quest will be turned into ordinaries and a quarter of their life will be taken from them.
Lucian and Lucas just defeated a team, the team was quite weak for them. Most of the teams around them were looking at them. None expected these two kids to have awakaned wrath. They were scared. It is near impossible for those without wrath to defeat one with a wrath and that is why the world is being dominated by those with Wrath.
Lucas and Lucian were looking around—to avoid any sneak attack and then, the crimson screen again popped up in the air.
Many spectators were watching this scene from their house. None slept because all of them were excited. Even the agents were watching the quest.
The same voice came from the crimson screen.
"Hello, my fellow participants. Let me apologize for disturbing you all but here an important piece of information I frogot to tell you all. There is a time limit of 2 hours. Your team will recieve 10 points after eliminating a team. In the end, the points will be compared and your team will be ranked. There are atleast 900 teams and only the top 100 teams will get to choose their class and a chance to become an adventurer. Those who won't be in the top 100 will be disqualified and will become an ordinary and a quarter of their life will be taken. Those who will come in top 10 will get to choose a weapon of their choice, those in top 30 will be recruited by companies all around the world and those in top 5 will also recieve cash money. The cash money will defy according to the rank. Thank You. ".
It was a shock for them. They didn't expect such harsh conditions to complete the quest.
Lucas questioned, " Lucian, what is the meaning of this 'company'? ".
Lucian said, " Huh!? You do not lnow about such basic thing and you want to be an adventurer!? ".
Lucas smiled.
Lucian sighed and said, " Well, companies are like guilds. They recruit strong adventurers and form a team to finish quests. The more money, power and fame a company will have, the more influence it will have over it's own country. ".
Lucas was surprised to hear that and questioned, " Do they pay the adventurers? ".
Lucian answered, " Yes, those adventurers who joined a company gets monthly salary by their company. ".
Lucas said with happy expressions, " Isn't that amazi-".
But before he could, Lucian pulled him towards himself.
Lucas questioned, "What are you doing!? ".
Lucian pointed towards the ground with his right hand index finger, there was a stone laying.
Lucas questioned, " What about it? ".
Lucian then pointed towards infront of him, there was a girl standing. She was the same girl which came before to them to form an alliance.
She threw that stone on Lucas and Lucian spotted it and that's why he pulled him to save him.
Lucas said, " Oh, thanks. ".
The girl speak, " You two. You two are going to get eliminated. This is what you get for not accepting the our proposal. ".
Lucian said, " We will see. ".
Both of them expected the girl to attack them, but some other people attacked them.
There were atleast 4-6 people who charged om them. All of them didn't have any Wrath.
They were atleast 2 meter away from them and then, Lucas' right leg started producing purple sparks and he tap the ground with his right leg.
Those 4-5 men had direct connection with the ground and their body became paralyzed.
Lucas simply formed a magentic field around him to paralyse them for few seconds. His range was only 2 m radisu around him and time limit was 5 seconds only.
These 5 minutes were more than enough for Lucian. His both hands started producing sparks and in the next second, they were embraced by blue lighting. Lucian striked all of them with his hands, and all of them burned pretty badly by the lighting and got eliminated.
The girl was surprised to see that. She didn't expect them to have an awakened wrath.
She was scared and with scared expressions, she questioned, "What the hell are you both!? What is wrong with you both!? ".
Meanwhile, the blue spiky hair man and his teammate were engaged in a battle with a team.
They were against the old man from India and the teenage japanese girl. The girl has short black hairs and black eyes whereas the old man was bald and his eyes were closed. The girl was wearing her school uniform whereas the old man was wearing traditional Indian clothes.
The old man was also holding a stick which helped him in walking.
The young girl charged on both of them and the blue spiky hair man's teammate charged on the girl.
The blue spiky hair man said, "Oi! Wait, Josè. ".
Josè was his teammate.
Josè said, " Do not worry, Ethan. I will take care of this little girl. ".
Ethan, the blue spiky hair man.
The girl was kind of flexible. She also mastered a fighting style, Shorinji Kempo.
Whereas Josè's power was still unknown.
He threw a right punch on her and she easily evade it. She grabbed his punch and using the moment, smashed him on the ground.
He said, "Go easy on me, little girl. I am not even serious. ".
The girl understood english, but she had problem in talking. Whenever she tried to talk in english, her mind always goes blank.
She said, " No.. me.. no hold back. You.. will be.. killed. ".
The man act like he was shocked, his expressions changed to shocking and he said, " What? Why do you want to kill me? ".
She said, " Urusai. ".
He asked, " What? ".
She raised her right leg to kick him but he took few steps back and launched few punches on her and every punch connected and hit her stomach.
She felt quite a good damage and took back few steps.
Josè again charged on her and she started running away. She was testing his patience and he lost his patience.
She slowed down a little and again, he threw a right punch and she dodged and grabbed it and again using the momentum, she smashed him on the ground.
This time, she did this with her full strength and he felt a damage but not much.
Her right hand suddenly got covered with water.
He thought, 'Oh no, a wrath. '.
She was still holding his right hand using her left hand and he used it to his advantage.
He pulled her but her punch also came closer to him and she tried to striked his face with her punch.
Meanwhile, Ethan and the old man were just standing and staring at each other.
The old man raised his hand a bit from which he was holding his stick. The stick also started floating in the air and then he swing the stick towarda Ethan.
A sharp wind came towards Ethan and he tried to block it using his hands as a shield but the wind wounded his hand, forming a cut.
The blood started coming out from the wounds on both his hands.
He said, " You really are an annoying old man. ".
Ethan's voice was quite heavy, it was deep. Whereas Josè's voice was normal for his age. And the japenese girl's voice was sweet, she was cute but her body was not much mature, she was around 16 years old.
Ethan used his strength and speed to charge at the old man but the old man launched few more swings on him and the sharp winds came towards Ethan. This time, he dodged all of them and threw punches on the old man.
The old man tried to block every punch using his stick but he was having difficulties matching with the speed of Ethan's punches.
Finally, a punch connected to his face and Ethan used this opportunity and launched more punches.
He then grabbed the face of the old man, pulled him up and then smashed him on the ground.
Old man started bleeding, blood was coming out of his head.
He said to Ethan, "Atleast respect your elders, child. ".
Ethan stared at him and then kicked his face with such force that his face got crushed by his feet. The old man got eliminated.
He looked towards Josè and he was standing alone, the girl was not there.
Ethan asked, " Did you eliminated her too? ".
Josè remained silent, then with a sigh he speak, " I wish I could say 'yes', but my friend you see. She ran away. ".
Ethan said, " Well, we gotta focus on earning as many points as possible. Do not let your next opponent run away. ".
Josè smiled amd both of them went to their next prey.
Meanwhile,
Lucas and Lucian were again surrounded by many times. Those two girls formed alliances with many teams but were now using them for their own advantage.
People surrounding them were men and women in their 30s.
Lucian said to Lucas, " Listen, can you increase your defence using your wrath? ".
Lucas said, " Yeah, but only for 2 seconds. ".
Lucian said, " Do not worry, those are enough. ".
Lucian and Lucas looking towards opposite direction with their back touching.
Lucian said, " Now! ".
Lucas covered his whole body using his purple electricity charges which increased his defence tremendously but only for 2 seconds and then, Lucian's body started shining with blue lightning and a very high volt of lightning came out of his body in circular shape and destroyed everything in 5 m of radius.
Those men and women surrounding them were cut into half from the waist.
They both already earned 70 points. But none knew who was ruling the leaderboard because there was not a single leaderboard.
The spectators were amazed to see such efforts. All of them were cheering for their own team in their home.
Some were cheering for Ethan and Josè, some were cheering for Lucian and Lucas while others were cheering for other teams.
The girl standing infront of Lucian and Lucas was now alone. Her alliance was dead. Her teammate was not around. Lucas walked towards her with his legs producing purple sparks. He dashed towards her using the speed and tried to grab her head but his hand was grabbed by someone else, Josè.
Here, the japenese girl was hiding behind bushes. Her right hand was broken. But how?
Flashback,
Josè was laying on the ground and her punch was going to connect and it even did.
The pressure of the water was so high that it was enough to cut through human skull but that does not happened with Josè. The punch did connected but there was not even a scratch on his head.
She was terrified to see that.
Josè grabbed her neck using his left hand and freed his right hand.
He stood up while the japenese girl was floating in the air and Josè was grabbing her neck with his left hand. She was trying her best to break free from his grip but his grip was getting tighter every second.
She could not breath anymore, she even used her wrath and striked his hand couple of times while her fists were covered by high pressure water but no damage.
His skin was so hard that even the high pressure of water was not able to cut through it and at that moment, she covered her right foot with the high pressure water and kicked his family jewls.
He felt only a slight pain and his grip loosened a bit and using that opportunity and struggle, she somehow broke through his grip and enhanced her speed to run away from him but in the process, Josè punched her right hand and broke it but she was able to run away from him.
She was terrified really bad. Josè was so strong that even a Wrath failed to damage him.
And now, that Josè and Ethan were standing infront of Lucas and Lucian.
