Although Dai Mubai and Ma Hongjun had separated from the group, they hadn't strayed too far from Ning Tianchen and the others.

Hearing the commotion, their gazes instinctively turned toward the source.

Upon seeing the actions of the Canghui Academy students, Ma Hongjun immediately became enraged. "Damn it! Those bastards from Canghui Academy are bullying us from Shrek Academy again!"

Whether it was because Ning Rongrong had treated him to a lavish meal or for the honor of the academy, he had no reason to back down when facing Canghui Academy.

However, Dai Mubai pulled him back. "Fatso, wait a moment!"

"Boss Dai, have you forgotten how those bastards from Canghui Academy humiliated us back in Suotuo City?" Ma Hongjun exclaimed angrily, clenching his fists tightly.

Dai Mubai certainly didn't want to miss an opportunity for revenge, but he explained, "Fatso, those guys from Canghui Academy wouldn't come out alone—their teacher is likely nearby."

"We're currently in the shadows and can provide support at any time. If we reveal ourselves and their teacher ambushes us, wouldn't that be dangerous?"

Dai Mubai's intention was simple: let Ning Tianchen and the others suffer a bit while using them to exact revenge on Canghui Academy, with whom he had grievances.

Besides, with Zhao Wuji around, Ning Tianchen and the others wouldn't be in any real danger.

Ma Hongjun didn't think that far ahead and simply found Dai Mubai's reasoning sound, so he decided to hold back for now.

…

"I'm not brave enough to take it? Heh, have you even heard of me, Ao Sha?" The leading youth laughed arrogantly.

"Enough talk! You have one minute to decide. If I don't see that ring in a minute, don't blame us for being ruthless."

As soon as the woman finished speaking, the youths behind her stepped forward simultaneously, activating their martial souls.

Their soul rings varied in quality—aside from the woman, almost all the others' first two soul rings were white and yellow. Though the woman had two yellow soul rings, the years of cultivation for both were relatively low.

Her third soul ring likely wouldn't be able to absorb a thousand-year soul ring.

Among the seven from Canghui Academy, only Ao Sha and another young man were Soul Elders, while the rest were Great Soul Masters.

Seeing this, Tang San was stunned.

The students of a high-level soul master academy were actually this weak?

Only then did he understand the meaning behind Ning Tianchen's earlier glance—it seemed their opponents weren't much stronger than them.

"It seems if we don't show our strength, we'll be underestimated."

Ning Tianchen chuckled lightly and stepped to the front of the group.

The other five arranged themselves in the same formation they had used during their journey.

Ao Sha sneered, not taking them seriously.

Ning Tianchen activated his martial soul first, and three soul rings—yellow, yellow, and purple—appeared beneath his feet.

While Ning Rongrong and the others only had two soul rings, their configurations were optimal.

Moreover, Ning Tianchen's soul power fluctuations surpassed those of Ao Sha and the other young man. Ning Rongrong and Oscar's soul power was already nearing the level of a Soul Elder.

What kind of monsters were these, nurtured by a major power?!

Ao Sha and his group weren't fools and quickly said, "Heh, it seems this was all a misunderstanding. May we inquire which powerful faction you geniuses hail from? We'd like to make your acquaintance."

"Isn't it a bit late to say that now?" Xiao Wu snorted, her braided ponytail whipping out and wrapping around the woman's neck.

Without hesitation, she attacked.

Seeing this, Ao Sha and his group hesitated briefly before deciding to retaliate.

"Xiao Wu is still too impulsive," Tang San sighed softly, his Blue Silver Grass ready to strike.

"Seven treasures turn and emerge with glaze; among the seven treasures, one is named Strength."

A dazzling seven-colored light infused Xiao Wu's body, increasing her strength by thirty percent.

"Disciples of the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect!" Ao Sha's face turned ashen.

Had he known beforehand that Ning Rongrong was from the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect, he wouldn't have dared to provoke her, even with ten times the courage.

It was too late to say anything now. His priority was to save his female companion and then ask the academy to mediate the situation.

The group from Canghui Academy were notorious troublemakers anyway, and Ning Tianchen's group held the moral high ground—it wouldn't hurt to teach them a lesson.

"First Soul Skill: Azure Dragon Break!"

The Seven Kill Sword slashed down suddenly, and with a silver flash and roar, the darkness of night dissipated.

The sword qi transformed into a galloping azure dragon, crashing toward Ao Sha.

Most of the soul masters from Canghui Academy were spirit control-type soul masters. Ning Tianchen's sudden attack caught them off guard, leaving them no time to counter with their own soul skills.

Tang San seized the opportunity, and his Blue Silver Grass erupted from the ground, binding their opponents firmly in place.

Zhu Zhuqing struck from the flank like a ghost in the night, severely injuring the enemy's auxiliary-type soul master.

"Help me block them together!" Ao Sha shouted, hoping for assistance.

Unfortunately, the others were restrained by Tang San's Blue Silver Grass and couldn't move an inch.

It wasn't that the Blue Silver Grass was particularly resilient—it was that the group from Canghui Academy had already lost their composure under Ning Tianchen's attack and didn't know how to break free.

Though the azure dragon's shadow had already dissipated after the strike, its lingering roar still reverberated through the air, leaving the Canghui group too intimidated to make any further moves.

On the other side, the woman who had endured the explosive Eight-Section Throw crashed to the ground, unconscious.

Such an "intense" battle drew the attention of many soul masters who had come to hunt for souls.

Most dismissed it as mere child's play, glancing briefly before losing interest. However, a few observant soul masters who carefully watched the conflict realized just how flawlessly coordinated the six members of Shrek Academy were.

Zhao Wuji was among them.

"So it seems isolating Dai Mubai was indeed the right choice."

Without Dai Mubai, Ning Tianchen and the other five could achieve such seamless coordination in a short time. Given more time, this Shrek team would surely become renowned across the continent.

Unlike Flender, who needed to consider every angle, Zhao Wuji believed in what he saw with his own eyes.

…

"Do you still want to fight?" Tang San smiled confidently, his gaze sweeping over the group from Canghui Academy.

With both the captain and vice-captain knocked unconscious, the Canghui group lost their core leadership and appeared somewhat "at a loss."

"So what if you're from the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect? You injured our students without provocation—you must give us an explanation!"

At some point, a middle-aged man arrived on the scene.

"Who are you?" Xiao Wu demanded angrily. "They provoked us first—don't twist the truth!"

"I am Ye Zhiqiu, Director of External Affairs at Canghui Academy. You injured my students and still dare accuse us! So what if you're from the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect? This continent doesn't revolve around you!"

Ye Zhiqiu was well aware of what had transpired.

Even without witnessing it firsthand, based on the nature of his students, he could guess seventy to eighty percent of the truth.

But offending the Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Sect? Even multiple heads wouldn't be enough to pay for that. He hoped to shift the blame onto the other party first and then find a way to extricate the Canghui group from the situation.

Seeing Zhao Wuji approaching, Dai Mubai jumped out to avoid being scolded. "Just a measly Canghui Academy—what arrogance!"

"They're nothing but a bunch of trash," Ma Hongjun chimed in, echoing his sentiment.
