"Football!, football, i really love to play football with my friends!!"
Im walking alone on the streets of my city, walking immensely happy, humming around.
"What a sunny day! I cant to play football with my friends! Its so cool and funny! And i always win of course!!"
I walk the streets alone, wearing a white t-shirt, black shorts, white boots and a black neck brace. Hm, think the name is actually neck warmer or neck gaiter?... Ah who cares?!
"La-la-la... Oh i really love this! Mom sais i need to gain some weight, but I'm too busy having fun with my friends!!"
Sudently, in a small cafe next to where I was, a middle-aged woman came out. I immediately recognized her.
"Oi! Mrs. R!"
She's a lady who owns that café, she always gives me sweets when she sees me. I like her a lot.
I waved to her from afar.
She immediately noticed me, and opened a huge smile.
"Good morning Kai! Going to play football again?"
"Of course! Mrs. R, any candy today?"
She sighed, but keep smiling
"Oh Kai... Youre not a kid anymore..."
I laughed a bit.
"Haha, but you have?"
"Yes I do."
"LETS GO!!"
I ran out towards her cafe.
She walked into the cafe, and I followed shortly after.
"Candy candy... If they want from me they'll have to pay!"
"Don't be too greedy Kai..."
"Haha, i was just joking..."
The café that day was, as usual, not very crowded. I live in a small town, so this is normal, but on holidays and festivals, it gets really crowded!
I looked around, observing the people sitting there.
"Hey!! Mr. Balther! Mr. Smith! Ms. Lilly!"
I think i know literally everybody in this town, from children to the elderly.
Mr. Balther gave me a big smile.
"Oh Kai, how's it going?!"
"Im going to the football field, i I promise that today i will win!!"
He rolled his eyes, laughing at me.
"Hahahaha! You suck at it kid!!
I was a little irritated by this comment.
"Shut up!! I -Its my future job!"
"Bet."
Ms. Lilly looked at me with a warm smile.
"Hey Kai, It's so hot today, why don't you take off that thing around your neck?"
I laughed a bit.
"Hhihi, no way!"
"You never take it off..."
"You have a goal."
Sudently this words hitted my head like a bullet. Causing me a severe headache.
"W-What?..."
I put my hand to my head, my eyes widening.
Mrs. R looked at me from the counter, worried.
"Whats going on Ka-"
"I need help."
And again, one more voice. It hurted so bad.
"A-Augh... S-Someone is calling me?..."
Mrs. R put a hand on my head.
"Kai? Whats going on..."
I tried to stand up and look good.
"I-Its alright, i-im just feeling a bi-"
"You're he choosen one. You're not just one more."
Every word the voice was saying hurted a lot.
I crouched down on the floor, trying to bear the pain, my hands shaking on my head.
"Kai? You're ok?... Want me to call your mother? You don't seem well..."
I quickly stand up, trying to resist the pain.
"N-No!! I promised my friends i was going to play with them, so i cant miss it for anything!!"
"Please find me."
I laid my head on the counter, grinding my teeth in pain.
"Kai... You sure you're well?"
The headache began to ease slightly progressively, and I began to feel better.
"Y-Yeah, im ok Mrs. R..."
She still was worried a lot, putting her hand on my forehead to see if I was hot.
"Youre not hot... But you dont seem well Kai."
"Im fine Mrs. R, can i please get the candys?
"Sure..."
She turned around and grabbed a bag full of candy, then gave it to me.
"Here Kai. But please make sure, if you don't feel right go home."
I grabbed it and thanked her.
"Yeah yeah... Thanks Mrs!"
I stretched myself.
What was that voice? What it wanted for me? It looked like a man, was very deep, but had a lot of echo.
Anyways, i opened a wide smile, and walked to the door.
"Ah Mrs R... I will pay someday!"
She giggled a bit.
"Dont worry Kai, you dont need to."
She is such a kind person, she never asks me to pay for the candys.
"Mrs. R, i swear that someday when i get rich, i will pay you all the candys!
"Haha, i hope so Kai..."
"Thank you!"
I opened the door, and.
"W-What..."
That was definitely not where I came in.
The streets were full, there were people everywhere wearing more "traditional" clothes or fancy dress, looking like costumes. That place looked medieval, full of wooden buildings, stalls with vendors selling food, fairs, several roads with some people riding horses. Whats going on?!
"W-WHAT THE HECK!?"
I quickly looked back, but the café just wasnt there anymore.
"W-WHERE AM I?!"
Ok wait, i need a time to think.
I put a hand under my chin, and began to analyze.
"Ok so... I left the café, and sudently im on this weird world... SO COOL!! WHAT IF IT HAS MAGIC AND POWERS?! CAN I HAVE ONE?! I ALWAYS WANTED TO HAVE A SUPER POWER! N-No wait! I need to go back to my world and play football with my friends, they are waiting for me!"
But then i made a wide smile.
"But oh dude... This looks so fun! I gotta explore it at least a bit! But always with the intention of returning home..."
I looked around again, not knowing very well what to do and extremely confused.
"Well uh, i should ask where i am to someone?... Oh, at least i still have the cand-"
I looked at my hands, there was nothing.
"AH! IT VANISHED! NO! Mrs. R is gonna be so mad at me... W-Wait, I was robbed?!"
I turned around, there was a small hooded person running away from me, holding a small white bag.
"AH!! HE'S THE THIEF!! COME BACK HERE!!"
I ran after that stranger, I am a person who has always played sports, so I am someone very athletic and fast.
That one person was also very fast, but not as me of course.
But as I chased after him, I bumped into several people, apologizing frequently, which slowed me down a bit.
I was faster, but the other person was more agile, always managing to dodge the others.
"Augh, sorry pal... COME BACK HERE YOU STUPID THIEF!!!"
I realized that if we continued like this he would eventually lose me, so I had to resort to my secret technique.
"SUPER JUMP!!"
I threw myself at that person, managing to land right on top of him and the two of us falling to the ground on top of each other.
"AHHHHHHHHH!!"
The person turned to me, was actually a very small, young woman, perhaps a child, wearing a mask of a raccoon.
I was quite furious, I grabbed her arms and pinned her to the ground.
The woman quickly started to yell and throw a tantrum to get attention.
"HELP ME!! HELP ME!! RAPIST!! IM BEING HARASSED!!"
At the same moment, everyone around us stopped and turned their eyes to me, as if I was a villain.
I didn't quite understand what she meant, but one thing was clear, I WILL NOT LET HER EAT THE GUMMIES!
I quickly grabbed the bag, leaving her, and started to eat all the candys there, as quick as possible.
It was a lot, but i was trying my best. I cant let her eat it, its a present from Mrs. R!
So I stood there, shoving the candy into my mouth as fast as I could, on my knees there on top of her.
I think she was kinda confused, looking at me with her mouth opened.
"W-What... What are you... doing?"
I didn't cared, no one is gonna steal my candys!
And then finally, i eated it all.
I raised my arms in celebration, smiling big.
"YEAH!! HAHA! I EATED IT ALL!! Sorry, but today I won't be able to share it with anyone-"
Apruptly, someone grabbed me by the collar of my t-shirt and lifted me into the air.
It was a very strong man, who managed to lift me into the air with just one hand.
I'm very thin, and of average height, so it might not be too difficult.
"YOU BASTARD! WHAT WERE YOU DOING TO THAT YOUNG LADY!?"
I wiggled into his grip, trying to free myself.
"LET ME GO! THAT IDIOT STOLE MY SWEETS!! THAT WAS MINE!"
And then, i gave a strong punch into his head, that made him fall into the ground.
I told you, i may not look, but im quite strong too.
I was very irritaded at first, but then i looked at the ground where was the woman.
I quickly started to laugh and pointing at her.
"HAHAHA! ITS ALL MINE YOU IDIOT!! THERE IS NO CANDYS FOR YOU!!"
The green hair girl was very confused, not knowing how to react, just lying there on the floor, looking at me not knowing what to think.
"W-What is wrong with you..."
"HEY YOU FOOL!!!"
I soon stopped smiling, hearing the voices of many men around me.
I opened my eyes, and there was around 30 men looking furious at me.
I think they thought i was the thief, and that i was stealing from her, which was not true!
They all look furious at me, like if i did a crime or something.
I took a few steps back, realizing I would have to resort to my other secret technique.
"RUN AWAY!!!!"
I turned my back and started running as fast as I could, trying to get away from them.
"COME BACK HERE!!"
They all started chasing me.
What a bummer, I didn't even do anything! But it doesn't matter now, I just have to lose them!
I turned to the side, entering an even busier street.
It was a commercial street, full of tents and stalls, with people selling all sorts of things. Behind it, there were several large buildings and constructions, it seemed like I was in a luxurious city or something.
I ran kinda desperate, looking back and seeing that group of men running furiously after me.
This is actually kinda funny, all that bozos running after me like if i did something wrong.
Oh god, how i like to run!
Running and bumping into strangers, i was having some kind of fun, laughing around.
"Oh, what is this?!"
I saw a tent, with a man there selling something.
"WERE OPEN! PLEASE BUY FROM US! WE HAVE ALL TYPES OF FRUITS AND VEGETABLES! WE- WHAAAAA!"
As I walked by, I quickly grabbed an apple, took it out and put it in my mouth, taking a big bite.
"HMMM, HOW GOOD!! SO RED AND GOOD!"
The man from the tent quickly panic, and went after me.
"Oh wait, now im a true thief... Ah who cares."
So i kept running and stolling foods from the tents that appeared.
Banana, meat, fish, etc. They sold basically everything there.
Then i grabbed something different.
"Is that a watch?... Ah who cares."
I just threw him to the ground and kept running.
Thinking about it now, I think it was very expensive because it had gold stuff and such. But ah who cares.
Then I threw a meat bone on the floor, putting my hands on my belly.
"Ahhh, what was good... Oh wait, THE WHOLE TOWN IS AFTER ME!!"
I looked back, and there was a huge crowd behind me.
Way bigger than before, dozens or hundreds of people were running towards me.
"WAHHHHHH!! SORRY! I PROMISED TO NEVER DO THAT AGAIN!!"
"YOU FUCKING THIEF!! COME HERE YOU BASTARD!"
Oh my, they are a lot, i don't deserve this at all! At all...
I kept running desperately, afraid that someone will reach me.
"Oh no no no... I need to hide somewhere! Sorry unc!"
I climbed on the top of a tent, then I stretched out my arms to go to the roof of a small house there.
"Oh wow, uh, I NEED TO RUN!!"
Then i climbed in another roof, a taller one, which was connected to the other roofs of the buildings, right up there.
I looked down, the man of that tent was trying to stop the people from climbing on his tent, but they were so furious, that just kept going.
"Hahaha, looks like were playing police vs thief! B-BUT THIS IS FOR REAL!!"
Seeing that they would eventually caught up to me, i started running on the ceilings, trying to mislead them.
Then, I arrived at one that had a separation from another, a hole in the middle of the two.
"Oh, for this one i will have to do parkour... I ALWAYS WANTED TO DO THAT! HERE I GO!!!"
So i jumped to the another, and I easily managed to land on the other one.
"WOW DUDE! THIS WAS SO COOL! I WANT TO DO IT AGAIN!!"
I looked back, and the people had already started climbing the same roof I was on.
Obviously, because they were old, they took a lot longer than me.
I kept running, until another division appeared, so i opened a wide smile.
"Hahaha, here i go!! HA-"
While i jumped between them, i felt like if someone grabbed my leg and pulled me down.
"A-AH?! N-NO WAIT, IM GONNA DIE!-"
As I fell backwards to the ground, for a brief moment I could see a young woman with white or silver hair on a staircase.
So, i felt into the ground and became unconscious.
A time later, i have no ideia how much, i woke up.
It was still daylight, with the sun very bright in the sky, so it probably wasn't much time.
I blinked twice, and then.
"AHHHHH! WHERE I AM?! WHO KIDNAPPED ME!!"
I was sitting on the ground, tied with ropes to a post.
That place was kind of a dark alley, very dirty and such.
I was very irritaded and angry, screaming the loudest i could.
"WHO DID THIS TO ME!! YOUR FILTHY THIEF!! IM GOIN T-"
Sudently, someone putted a hand on my mouth, making it impossible for me to speak.
I continued to desperately free me, while that person made it impossible for me to scream.
"Shut up dude! Im just trying to help you!!"
I stopped for a moment, looking at the person standing on my right.
It was that woman i saw before. I knew it!
She was white, had big breasts, long legs, wide hips, slim and thin body, straight white hair down to the waist, with a small fringe and cyan blue eyes.
She wore a white t-shirt covered by a thin dark blue turtleneck sleeveless with gold buttons closing it coat, with white details, a white skirt with dark blue details, and dark blue wide boots.
Think majority of the people would say she is hot right? Well I just find her annoying.
"Im only trying to help you ok?... I think need to talk to you..."
She was very annoyed, but was trying to calm herself and myself.
I nodded, and she slowly removed her hand from my mouth.
"WHO ARE YOU!? ARE YOU A BAD GUY!? I AM-"
"SHUT UP!!!"
She gaved me a punch on my head.
Okay, I guess I really have no choice but to keep quiet, it hurted a bit.
She was pissed with me.
"DIDN'T YOU HEARD WHAT I SAID!? SHUT THE HELL UP!!"
I glared angry at her, but I had no choice.
"Mahhhhh... Ok fine, but free me!"
"I'll let you go later, but now-"
"NO!! FREE ME NOW! I HATE BEING CHAINED!! AHHH! TAKE THIS OF-"
"FINE FINE! BUT PLEASE STOP YELLING!!"
She went and took the rope off my body.
"Done, are you happy now?!"
I stretched myself, feeling so relief.
"Oh my, that hurted a lot... Who are you!?"
She placed her hand on her chest, in a pose of pride.
"He, thought you would never ask... I am Am-"
"Meh i actually dont care."
She was astonished.
"W-WHAT?!"
"Yeah im busy right now, im running from some guys... THEY MAY STILL BE AFTER ME!"
"No dumbass... they went straight, nobody knows you're here..."
"Oh..."
She helped me to hide.
I opened a smile.
"Thanks then!"
She was still quite annoyed at me.
"It's the least I expected... But, i didn't helped you for no reason, its be-"
"Ok, now im going. See you later."
I started to walk towards the exit.
She was in shock, and very angry at me, holding my shoulder.
"W-WAIT!! I NEED TO TALK WITH YOU!"
"But i have nothing to talk with you, i gotta go and exp-"
"You're from another world right!?"
This words echoed in my mind in a very different way, hitting me hard.
"W-Wait you... H-How do you..."
I freezed of course.
She sighed.
"I am also, and i noticed by your clothes and what you were doing..."
I turned to her.
"Ok, lets talk then! Who are you!?"
She again, putted her hand on her chest with a proud look.
"Ah, thought you would never ask... I am Amari, 17 years old, nice to meet you!"
"What a weird name."
"Shut up!!... Whats yours?"
I scratched my nose before answering, giving a smile.
"Nhehe... I am Kai!... Kai!!"
"Hm, and whats your age?"
"Age?"
I stopped for a bit, thinking deeply.
"By your personality, i would say 5! But you look like 14 or something... Adding the 2 together, I'd say 12! That's my bet!
I put a hand on my chin, my head frying.
"Age age age... Damn! My mom never told me that!!"
She just looked at me like if i made a bad joke.
"Are you for real?"
"Its not my fault! How im supossed to know ir if nobody ever told me!?"
"Dude you... You can't be real..."
I tried to think as best I could, until I came up with an idea.
"Oh wait a second... Age is the numbers of days i lived... Counting the days I lived, dividing by 31 to get the months, and by 12 to get the years... It gives 16 years, 4 months and 21 days!"
She couldn't believe what i was saying.
Well, I think it was a brilliant idea!
"Y-You counted the days you lived and divided them until you reached your age... You simply remembered and recounted every day you lived ?!"
I laughed a bit.
"Yeah exactly! Why the suprise?!"
"Y-YOU... Wait, you're 16!? You look like a kid! And behave like one!"
That offended me.
"HEY! Don't say that!!... I-Im very mature!"
"No you definitely aren't..."
She made a pause, trying to ignore it.
"Ok and hm, from where you were?"
"Were i am?... Oh, its a town with uh, i live with my parents!"
"I ASKED THE COUNTRY YOU'RE FROM YOU STUPID!!"
"Ohhh.... Country? Hm... Nobody told me that."
She was very angry, probably thinking i was mocking her.
"Y-YOU Y-YOU Y-YOU... HOW DUMB YOU ARE!?"
I was angry too.
"How was i suposted to know if nobody ever told me!? Well, i remember there was a beach very far away."
"THIS DOESN'T HELP!"
She sighed.
"Ahhh... Well, I think it's useless to tell you mine, since you probably won't even know it..."
I changed the subject.
"Ok nice but, how do i return home?! My friends are waiting for me, i need to play football with them!"
"Oh, that explains why you look like that, you were going to play football... Well, I'm already warning you that that doesn't even exist in this world."
That can't be real.
"W-WHAT?! THEN WHAT THEY DO TO SPEND TIME!?"
"This is a medieval world idiot, of course that doesn't exist here!"
I started punching the wall in anger.
"THAT SUCKS!!! Oh but wait, i just need to go home."
"Hm well, about that... Its almost impossible."
"W-WHAT?! N-NO! I WANT TO GO HOME!! MY FRIENDS ARE WAITING FOR ME, I N-"
She spoke louder than me.
"WAIT WAIT, CHILL! THERE IS A WAY!... But is very hard to do it..."
This lit a thread of hope and happiness in me.
I approached her.
"Really? Please tell me!"
She crossed her arms and pushed me away with one hand.
"Wait wait wait, I'll tell you later, first you have to hear my story."
"AH?! WHO CARES?! I just want to-"
She felt very offended.
"SHUT UP! IM JUST GONNA TELL YOU THAT IF YOU HEARD IT!"
Oh, that sucks, but I guess I have no choice.
"Ugh, fine... Go on."
She smiled, looking like I begged for it.
"Oh ok little boy, I'll tell you..."
"What did you call-"
"Im here on this place make like a week. I went to sleep, and when I woke up I was standing in the middle of this city. At first I thought it was a dream, but enough time has passed to prove it wasn't... Or maybe, are you real?"
She grabbed my bochecha and began to squeeze it.
"T-Thats how it works you dumbass!"
She took her hand away and pointed it at my face, furious.
"Y-YOURE SO DUMB THAT MAKES ME QUESTION IF I'M REALLY IN A DREAM!
"N-NO, YOU'RE DUMBER THAN ME!"
"Ha lol... Where was i? Oh yeah..."
She composed herself, speaking with a certain elegance. She tried to convey that feeling at least, but I wouldn't say she succeeded. At least not with me.
"And since i arrived, i've been just moving around trying to find some food to eat, stealing most of the time... all alone."
"Ha! Beggar!"
She was quite irritated by my comment.
"S-Shut up! I-I had no choice!"
Now i feel a bit bad for what i said, she doesn't even friends here, lives in a very bad situation.
"Oh uh, im so-"
"And you are probably going to be a beggar on this world too!"
This was said with an insulting tone.
"W-What did you just s-"
"Yeah! How you expect to live in this world!? This world is full of magic, powers, this kind of things, im-"
"I KNEW IT!!"
I yelled extremely happy.
"YEAH!! THIS WORLD IS ACTUALLY SO COOL!!"
She was suprised and at the same time a bit scared by my reaction.
"Y-You liked it?"
I was so excited.
"OF COURSE! I CAN BE A WARRIOR? OR MAYBE A WIZARD!? DAMN THAT LOOKS SO COOL!"
She thought for a bit, speaking low.
"Yeah well, this world is like a rpg so i guess you can."
"Rpg?..."
She was open-mouthed.
"YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT IS!?"
I nodded my head sideways. I've never heard of that in my life.
"H-How dumb you are!? Were you from some uncivilized tribe? But your clothes look quite modern, and you play footbal-"
"Oh shut up! Just keep yapping!"
She twitched her eye.
"F-Fine, f-fine... Well, By the way, I've never met anyone from our world in this world, I've only heard of someone who died a long time ago, with the same name as my grandfather. But it's probably just a coincidence."
I spoke in a very hurried way
"Ok ok, nice nice... But how can i go back to my world?..."
"Our world... Well, in this world, there is a thing called "The Divine Crown". Basically 10 pieces of a crown scattered around the world, in which whoever collects them will become the "Emperor of the World", and receive an audience with the literal God, and have the right to any wish."
"Any wish?! I always wanted a car! Like a big one, one that is bigger than-"
"You dumbass! You're going to ask him to return to your world!"
"Ohhh... That makes sense..."
She sighed, hardly trying to handle me.
"Yeah, b-"
"Yeah so, where is that crown?!"
She yelled angry.
"I SAID ITS SCATTERED AROUND THE WORLD YOU IDIOT!... And, Those looking for it are the most powerful people, the royal family and very powerful organizations that literally control this world."
I didn't pay much attention to what she said.
"Blah blah blah, im going to find that crown and return home!"
"Good luck with that..."
I ran to the exit of that alley, observing that vast fantasy like world.
A breeze of wind blew past my face, watching the various people illuminated by the bright sun.
I giggled, then I stretched my arms up, and declared quite excitedly.
"My friends will have to wait a bit, because I, Kai, will be the EMPEROR OF THIS WORLD!!!"
Amari besides me, looked at me with a look that I was foolish.
"You're lucky that nobody heared you..."
Then i pointed to her, still smiling a lot.
"And you! will help me to it!!"
She was very confused and suprised.
"W-What?... When I agreed to that?"
I looked at her equally confused, what is she thinking about?
"Uh? You're coming with me! Were friends aren't we?!"
She blushed, hidding her face under her hands.
"F-FRIENDS?! SINCE WHEN Y-"
"AND I PROMISE! THAT WHEN I GOT THAT AUDIENCE, I WILL ASK FOR YOU TO RETURN TO OUR WORLD TOO!!!"
That words hitted her hard, as she changed her posture, looking at me with a wide genuine smile of happiness, and maybe even admiration.
"You're really a good person... Fine! I will help you!!"
I laughed and looked forward.
"LETS GO!!!"
