"Come on! If you keep it up like that, you'll surely die!" Chirashi! she shouts as she continues watching Kairo struggle against a ten-foot statue wielding a great sword. Its light gray color appeared slightly chipped from its ancient look.
The statue's sword slammed against the ground as Kairo attempted to push off it with his sword. As the eruption of the ground throws him into the air. The statue's eyes quickly flash a red color, and it repositions in haste to swing its giant greatsword with speed.
Kairo's eye widened as the stone sword came flying at him horizontally.
"Kairo! Watch out!" Marin shouts as she watches in worry.
As the blade closes in, Kairo raises his sword in defense once again, holding it vertically in front of him. However, the moment the blades collide, Kairo's defense is broken through, and he's sent flying in a cloud of dust. Immediately crashing into some nearby buildings.
The statue repositions before it takes on a stalled stance. Kairo is lying in rubble as Chirashi, Marin, and Ingrid rush over to him.
Chirashi quickly reached out with her Shuzen healing spell, healing his wounds quickly.
"Man, for an ancient statue, it sure has some speed to it." Ingrid remarks as he continues observing it as it stands still.
"Not to mention this room is insane; it looks like we're actually in Karakami Town!" Marin quips as she continues looking around in awe.
"I created this room centuries ago; it creates just about a replica of a place you want it to. I call it Mugen no Heya. Or just Mugen for short." Chirashi reports as she finishes healing up Kairo's wounds.
"What about the three statues? Did you make those too?" Marin questioned as she observed the other two waiting side by side.
"Sure did; they were made so that I could continue training and avoid any potential rusting of my abilities. They each help train a specific part of a Sentarii's soul. For example, if you wanted to learn how to fight against a powerful swordsman, you'd like the capabilities against the one with the great sword. If you wanted to learn how to face off against someone who fights with speed and hand-to-hand combat, you'd face the one with no weapon. Then, lastly, the one that trains those in the ways of Shuzen is the one with the tome. However, due to recent events, I've disabled that one, as it can tend to get a bit dangerous." Chirashi, she explained as she pulled Kairo off his butt.
"The greatsword is only the first one?! You've got to be kidding me!" Kairo exclaimed as he gripped his sword tightly in hesitance.
"Oh, calm down, that was only difficulty one of five," Chirashi mocks as she begins walking away.
"O-One out of five?! Cut the shit!" Kairo shouted as she rushed after her.
Leaving Marin and Ingrid to watch as he continued bickering as they walked, Chirashi fanned herself with one of her fans to cool off from the tempered Kairo, even going so far as to pull open her kimono's chest window a bit more, instantly causing Kairo to run away and join up with Marin and Ingrid instead.
His face was beet red as he quickly quieted up.
"Each statue has five difficulty levels, and as you get progressively stronger, I'll increase them to get even stronger as well. The only way we can truly learn what your ability is..." Chirashi stopped in her place and turned with her face covering her mouth.
"To push you off balance." Her smirk being hidden as she turns back and continues walking.
"Marin, Ingrid... I suggest you rush to me." Chirashi shouts, then without notice. Kairo is taken off the ground as a massive eruption takes place behind them.
The statue swooped in and resumed its assault on Kairo within seconds of reactivation.
Marin and Ingrid are in shock as they instantly turn around to see Kairo flying through the air.
As he flies backwards, his eyes struggle to open, but just enough to see the statue quickly approaching with its sword drawn back.
"T-This is only level one?! This is ridiculous!" Kairo murmurs as he quickly forces his eyes to open and react. With his blade being thrown in front of him again.
The statue swung horizontally, connecting with Kairo's left side. Blood spewed out of Kairo's mouth as his guard was phased through like air. Kairo's body whiplashed into another direction as he continued flying through the air.
The statue appeared instantly at the destination where Kairo approached, already ready to deliver another swing. This time, as the sword rests on the statue's shoulder, it rotates its body, bringing its blade to come barreling down vertically, and the moment Kairo reaches the point of impact. The sword bashes down on Kairo, smashing him into the ground in an instant.
Buildings shatter as the force of the impact blows several houses away within a ten-meter radius. Dust conjured up, making it nearly impossible to see Kairo and his condition.
Marin holds her mouth in shock as she watches in shock at the monstrous statue's power.
"Chirashi, is Kairo?! I-Is he dead?!" Marin quivered as she continued watching from afar.
Slowly, as the dust started to settle, Chirashi continued smirking. Ingrid also watched in fascination as his visual on Kairo started to sharpen.
"So... that's what your ability is, Kairo Neru!"
As the dust settled, the statue continued jittering slightly as it struggled to pull its blade back from where it had struck Kairo into the ground. With the last of the dust settling, it's revealed that Kairo appears in a crater, his sword holding back against the statues.
The statue struggled to push down on Kairo with its entire force. But before it could even attempt to push even harder, the statue's stone blade shattered into pieces as a black and purple soul energy radiated off the blade as a monstrous energy jaw.
