Solnera Village, a hidden realm within a dimensional tear. The structure of the area houses a massive triangular base. Towers float on separate bases at each point of the original foundation. Walls and houses are designed similarly to those of the Heian era.
Lively magnolia trees littered the entire village. The time of day within Solnera village is never night or day and always sits within a perfected balance of evening. The sky shifts between indigo and silver hues as no sun or moon is present. Instead, they have what's known as the Soul Ring, a massive radiant ring that hovers high above the floating towers themselves and within one of many designated areas within Solnera.
We stumble onto a graduation ceremony that is held by the Sentarii every year.
Several senior wardens lined up in rows, side by side in their training hakamas, all standing respectfully and diligently as a sentinel stood on an elevated platform to speak to them.
"Within your short year of training, every single one of you demonstrated unique aspects in your own ways. Others through pure talent and genius, and others through hard work and dedication. But make no mistake, from this point on you are no longer considered equals!" The Scout Division Sentinel expresses himself as he walks around on small, floating, circular platforms.
"Every one of you will be given a path that works well with your skills. Once on that path, it's up to you how far you go. If you perform, you progress. If you stagger, you falter. You've been in plenty of fights against each other, but on the battlefield everything is on the table." The scout Sentinel exclaims with his strong presence as he continues observing the senior wardens while moving above them.
From behind the rows of senior wardens, other high-ranking or previous-year senior wardens were watching respectfully. Takahari and Yurino, the other two sentinels, stood present as they were ready to recruit their newly assigned seniors. However, also watching with Takahari was his sergeant, Yaba Narata.
Yaba is observing the groups of seniors as well while he respectfully waits.
"Now, the last piece of advice I wish to leave you with. Comes from someone who used to be in your shoes long ago. Even if you believe in your own strength, the strength of many outweighs the strength of one." The scout sentinel makes his way back to the centered platform and steps onto it, sharply turning back to the group of seniors.
Smoothly placing his left hand onto his sheathed sword's handle and pulling it out slightly, revealing half of the blade. His reflection glared back at him, simultaneously without him having to say a word. The group of seniors was following in sync with the same motion.
Every single one of them staring into their own reflection in their blades.
"Together!" The scout sentinel shouts as the entire group of senior wardens begins chanting an oath in sync.
"The sword and soul never forget! Your thoughts are the hilt! Your emotions, the edge!" Expressed hundreds of senior wardens at once. Filling the air with their Sentarii oath.
Everyone waited, letting the air settle and the atmosphere to loosen. The calming quiet breeze, sweeping by as the seniors slowly sheathed their blades. Before chanting one last synchronized saying in unison.
"Thank you Scout Sentinel Kentoya!" The Seniors exclaimed with respect.
Kentoya sighed in relief as he could finally bring this graduation to an end.
"-and with this! Your official graduation into your own paths is set! Please place your right hand onto your chest and begin removing the barriers around your souls! Depending on the color of your soul will reveal where you will be placed!" Kentoya shouted with anticipation as the finale was about to begin.
Suddenly as every Senior Warden began removing the barriers on their souls. Three different colors began to flood the area. Takahari lazily observing the hundreds of Seniors looking for his color. While Yurino was moving around trying to see how many of her color she could count. As for Kentoya his face slowly started to light up as several of his color were also becoming more apparent.
Slowly as every student removed their barrier the assigning could begin.
"Seniors! If your soul radiated the color green! You will be with the Medic Division, you will be under Yurino Nikira, one of the strongest combat medics I've ever fought aside!" Kentoya instructed while also looking down at Yurino with a smirk.
"Oh Kentoya! You flatter me so. To all my new seniors I look forward to seeing your potential on the field!" Yurino smiles with her hands pressed against each other.
"Those of you who radiated the color Yellow, will be the officer division! Takahari is known for being lazy, but don't let that discourage you as he can be extremely powerful on the battlefield! Let him be an example in the field not in responsibilities!" Kentoya avoids making eye contact with Takahari as he could feel Takahari smiling at him with malicious intent.
"Then lastly, if your soul radiated the color blue! You will be apart of my division, the scout division! I hold my scouts very high in regards for operations and stealth. I'm also open to training you in swordsmanship or even Shuzen. Because to be effective in almost any situation is to be prepared!" Kentoya bows his head as he finishes his speech.
However, before the seniors are released, one more public figure appears. One who stands at the top of every Sentarii for every generation. His voice projected down from the sky. His voice is wise yet youthful as he speaks out to them.
"As the 12th Generational Monarch, stand here with only a few words in mind, so listen! Do not waver, do not succumb, find your balance, and remember the balance of your soul. Is the balance of your very life." The Monarch preaches as his voice slowly begins to fade out, allowing Kentoya to bring it all to a wrap.
"Now go! Your path awaits, for the moments that truly shape your soul"!
