Enri Emmot is but a humble peasant girl who had known nothing but hardwork and dedication.
She's a young blonde in her mid teens who's hair is tied into a single braid on her back. Her skin is supple with a healthy shade of color despite working on a farm all her life.
With a small grunt, she pulls out a bucket from the well. Carefully setting it down before untying it from the pulley.
The sounds of giggling reached her ears and not far from her, she could see one of the most beautiful woman she had ever seen, sitting on a the field of grass while playing with a little kid no older than two years old under the watchful eyes of the child's mother.
Lady Sera sat on her feet, kneeling on a soft grassy field as she played and made faces at a little baby in her arms. Laughing and smiling at every reaction and sound the little creature makes.
She wore a simple tunic and long skirt with a pair of high heeled boots, yet none of the simplicity lessened her charm in anyway. And seeing the beautiful woman rub her cheeks against the giggling baby, Enri couldn't help but admit that she looked far more beautiful than usual.
It had been three days since their party had arrived in Carne and through her eyes she had always been more so.... motherly, always affectionate to kids. According to her own mother, she is an aspiring mother herself just.... one full of doubt. Not of anyone but of herself.
But seeing what her husband looks like let alone -is capable of doing? Enri could not blame her, the duty itself seemed... intimidating.
Enri shook her head and was about to take the buckets of water home, when a voice reached her ears.
"Enri."
She yelped in surprise and turned to see, a wall of muscles a few feet from her.
His voice was noble. No doubt, no fear, nothing but pure confidence and strength echoing like the warm flow of a calm river. It was gentle enough to not harm, but strong enough to sweep her off her feet but firm that the flow makes one feel safe.
But Enri admits, it isn't his voice but his body that she was truly paying attention to. Just steps away, Momon approaches with a beautifully crafted sword hefted on his wide and rounded shoulders. Yet for all the intricacies of his ornate weapon, it fails to make the muscles of his bare body any less prominent.
He walked on brown breeches reaching to his shin, tucked beneath a pair of steel reinforced boots and wearing nothing on top. And as he got closer the more her eyes could pick up the dept of every muscle, every contour to every bulge.
"Headed home?" he asks. And all she could do was nod dumbly while the giant of a man took one of the buckets. The sudden reminder made her lift the other and began their walk home.
"A fine morning isn't it?"
Enri nodded, unable to look up as she felt the crazed warmth of her face.
"Your mother said you planned to inherit the farm." again, she nodded. "What about life in the city? I heard you have a friend. A doctor if I remember correctly."
"Uhm, No... not really." Enri corrects, feeling his attention fall on her, she felt pressured and afraid that she just decided to keep walking.
"Truly? Your mother had said he visits from time to time. Gathering herbs for medicinal purposes."
"He is just a pharmacist..."
"...just a pharmacist..." There is a sense of amusement as he chuckles at her response but the next thing he says truly stuck to her. "...believe me Enri, anyone capable of saving a life is more valuable than an army."
The reverence, weight of the truth and the nostalgia in his voice was felt by everyone within hearing distance.
And in her distracted mind, Enri couldn't help but imagine her friend, blonde of hair, cute with a sweet and gentle raising his arm and flexed his muscles...
"Ah, here we are."
Enri's thoughts popped like a balloon, realizing she had arrived home. Momonga nodded at the mother of the house as he put down the bucket he was holding and left without another word.
"Thank you Momon-san!" her mother shouted, received by a waive of the man's hand without breaking a stride nor a turn. "Ok Enri, just set the bucket by table... Enri?...Enri!"
Enri squeak realizing she had arrived home under the smug and knowing smile of her mother. "...you know he's married right?"
"Wha-"
"And if the looks Nabe-san is shooting him, you don't really stand a chance."
"No! I wasn't even- not that I didn't- but! but! he isn't-!" her thoughts scrambled as she imagined Nfirea flexing his body till his clothes exploded. "Nfirea!" she squeaks out before bolting to her room and slamming the door shut.
The mother sighed as she turned to youngest, wiping the table. "Tell your sister to bring out the bucket please."
"Ok~"
*sigh~ "Well...I guess competition isn't such a bad thing." smiling at her blooming daughter direction.
*Hn! Momon grunts, and with but a flash of silver, his greatsword cleaves a tree easily toppling it towards him. And without an ounce of fear, he caught the tree with his bare hands. The ground beneath him caved slightly from the impact but Momonga remained unfazed. His muscles flexed, arms stretching like the toughest leather with fingers gripping so strongly that they dug into the bark of the tree and with another grunt, he hoisted it up his shoulder and carefully walked away.
"...whoa..."
"That's insane..."
"Man...I can't wait for him to get the fuck out of the village..."
"Oi! stop saying things like that. The man is helping us when he can."
"But he's hoarding all the girls!!" the young man complains to his friends while gesturing at the gathered village ladies and girls giggling not far from them.
"I can't believe I'm saying this but...Rick is right."
"James!" Ethan said scandalized at his friend's words.
"Hey don't blame me! Blame the big handsome rich dude with muscles for days for raising the damn bar to the high heavens!"
"Umu. Umu. See~ I'm right!"
"Besides he can handle himself out there... Us!? This is our competing grounds. Foxes can't win when the fucking lion prowls around."
"I don't think that's-"
"Doesn't matter! He gets it! Anyway let's go-"
Ethan looked befuddled at his friends who had suddenly stopped talking only to turn and saw a pair of raven colored eyes, and a face so pretty he could feel the world stop in her presence.
If Lady Sera is warm like the sunrise of a new beginning, Nabe is the cold night's embrace that lulls you to either sleep or the end. Depends on either she likes you or not. And sadly for the boys...they didn't make a very good first impression.
She stood armed to the teeth with her armored dress. She wore a white top dress shirt leather coated armor trimmed in gold. Made of various pieces layered on top of each other for flexibility. Her long sleaves stretched to her reinforced gloves, covering a large chunk of her wrist. She has a short skirt and a pair of stockings that made the small gap in between enticing, with her legs peaking through them. She has a waist cape stretching at the back from her waist down tod her ankles, ending with a pair of brown boots.
And in her hands is something they believe to be a staff. A tool to channel magic...only this one seemed too magical and ornate to be anything but a treasure than a tool.
But then again, if Momon could log a pair of weapons worth a king's ransom, it would make sense....
Their thoughts spiked as Narberal walked towards Momon, who had just chopped the tree into several pieces and hand him a towel.
"Thank you Nabe." Momon said with his naturally deep voice.
And while wiping the sweat off of his scalp, the spectators either gritted their teeth at the beast hounding her attention or the beauty blushing with her attention to the beast. Either way, the spectators felt jealousy.
"He's married you know!!??" Ethan exploded, freezing everyone in the spot. Before stomping out. He suddenly stops to turn and see the innocent confusion in Momon's face and the furious blush on the onyx haired beauty. *ptooey!-
"...do you know what happened Nabe?"
"...ignore the insects Momon-sa-an."
*sigh~ "Three days Nabe, its been three days... No matter. You sound like your stuttering at least, I could claim that your quiet and distant nature to be part of your shyness and stoic demeanor. But still, please, try to be... less formal with me?" Momonga reasons, not noticing how his last sentence sounded more like a plead than anything else.
But Narberal took notice and smiled slightly, getting a peak of her masters true wishes.
It had been three days since their arrival at the Village of Carne. And while they had done their best to adapt and gather information through conversations, they had truly yet to have any proper direction.
As far as the denizens of the Great Tomb of Nazarick is concerned, they are still simply securing their defenses and this expedition is but one of them. The first contact with the local residents.
And while she had failed miserably at 'making friends'... one she had been embarrassingly reprimanded for. She had instead been very dedicated in bringing back reports to Nazarick's waiting hands. This includes her personal opinions on certain moments like such. Details that every Floor Guardian is eager to have.
An insight to the Supreme Ones.
「Narberal Gamma-sama!」
Narberal suddenly smiled softly making the nearby village boys looked liked they were having an aneurysm at seeing the cold and unapproachable Nabe smile exclusively in Momon's presence.
「Just Narberal, Aureole-nee-san.」Narberal replies.
「hoooo? Narberal? Not Nabe-chan~ is that right?」
Narberal's face turned beet red. "Nabe...are you ok?"
Not hearing Momon's voice,「...please Nee-san...」Narberal begs not wanting to be subjected to anymore teasing from her sisters.
Momon stepped closer, and put his hand on her forehead. Feeling a slight bit of heat coming from her. "Are you sick?" Momon remarks bringing Narberal back and say Momon's sweaty muscular body body just a feet away from her.
Her mind blanked, and in the heat of the moment, her hands reached out. Running itself across his chest to his abs. Nabe's fingers run through every crease, every vein and every smooth rock hard piece of muscle.
"Ahem!!!"
A shout startles Nabe, making her yelp and turning to find a frowning Sera. "Is there anything MY husband can help you with Nabe..."
Nabe looked down in embarrassment, with steam coming out her ears. Unable to look at her Lady nor notice the village ladies biting down on their aprons, dresses or cloths with gritted teeth.
"I asked you a question." Sera presses coldly.
"Not-nothing my lady."
"Well then...perhaps you could let go of him so that he may continue what he was doing."
Nabe's head snapped back up and slowly turned to Momon who was blushing slightly at her side...with her hands still running through the contours of his abs.
It took her three seconds before a full shade of red erupted from her face, feeling steam explode from her face, before she yelped back as if her hands were set aflame. And with how hot she was feeling the idea was not too far off.
"I'm sorry! Please forgive me Momon-sa-an!!"
"..its alright Nabe."
"... alright..huh..."
Momon gulp at Sera's cold remark. *kuhum- "Besides, you seemed distracted. If you're unwell, go ahead and rest. I will pick up where you left off."
"...yes... Momon-sa-an..." she whispers before slowly walking away.
「...smooth...」
「Shut up! This is your fault!」
「Oh please! I didn't tell you to, as sis Lupus would say 'get down and freaky' in your dirty little mind. Besides I came to contact you regarding something important-」
"RAIDERS!!! IMPERIAL RAIDERS!!!"
「...ah, yes your targets have arrived...」
「Nee-san!!!」Nabe yelled before rushing back only to be stoped by Sera.
"The children, mothers and elderly! Take them to the barn!"
"Momon-"
"That's an order Narberal Gamma!"
Nabe's retorts dried out as she saw the reflection of emotions that did not belong in her Lady's eyes.
"I will see to them..."
"Thank you."
Nabe watched as Sera ran shouting Enri and Namu's name. '...my lady...' discarding her doubts away, she saw to the evacuation and safety of all those she could reach.
Chaos and panic engulfed the Village of Carne as armored men swooped in with spears, killing several villagers.
*Hiyahh!! Ethan shouts as he skewered one of the knights by the gap in his waist with a pitch fork. "Mom! Run! Run away!"
"You bastard!" Ethan saw an angry knight dismount his horse and ran in his direction. Seeing a real sword headed down on his face, he pulled on the pitchfork and raised it in defense only for the blade to crack the wooden pole heavily, making him stagger on his ass.
A shrill scream reached his ears, and saw one of the men grab his mother, tearing her clothes exposing her legs bare. Ethan gritted his teeth, and ran only to feel his lungs give out, seeing an image of a knight kneeing him, before he tumbled backwards.
With a pained scream he ran forward met by the knight, Ethan then tackled the man grabbing his sword hand and his other hand, before sinking his teeth into the man's exposed neck beneath the helm.
With clenched jaws and feral eyes, he tore the man's throat out of him before grabbing the sword and running the blade through the skull of the knight raping his mother.
Ethan felt the warmth filling him vanish and his strength languish in an instant. He fell on his knees.
"Mom... you have to go- *Gukh!-"
Blood spilled from his mouth, his body froze, unable to move anything but his eyes, seeing only a blade sticking out of the neck.
His mother's shrill scream did not register in his ears. He tried to speak but the pain was so wracking that he could barely stay conscious. Muttering only the word- "please..."
He felt the blade leave him as another knight came into view, stalking towards his mother with a blade drenched with his blood.
"...please..." he rasped out.
The wall crumbled, and a giant man burst through grabbing the knight by his head. Ethan saw the knight lifted into the air by his helm and smashed into the dirt with the sound of thunder. And as the dust settles, his eyes teared as he saw the blood soaked half-naked man that is Momon.
He grabbed the nearby table cloth wrapped it instantly around his mother. And with a solemn nod, from the man, Ethan smiled in parting words... "... th-thank yous-"
He could hear her screams, shouting his name as his hero carried her off. And as the light faded from his eyes, he died, buried within the ruble of his collapsing home, knowing that the most important thing in it was safe.
