"Huff... Huff..."
He crawled the floor blanketed by ashes.
His eyes blurring slowly, his movements becoming sluggish.
"Humans have lost the war, accept it human. You were strong, but I have transcended realm of strength and mortality."
The devil grinned, as swarms of fiends and demons bursted out of the crimson red gate.
"Oh Martial God, may you bless me with strength till my final times."
He stood up, using his black greatsword as support.
"Seraphiel, don't think this will end with my death. Even if I die a thousand times, I'll come back to hunt you!"
He gripped his greatsword and ran towards him.
"Have you repented, I would have spared your insignificant life. Blame your stupidity in your next life."
In an attempt to defeat Seraphiel once last time, he swung his greatsword one last time before the end was decided.
...
....
"It's dark.. and cold...", he said.
"Is this death?", he asked himself.
"Damn it, if only I could've awakened a bit earlier. I wouldn't be in such a mess.", he muttered to himself.
His body continued to float in the dark cold abyss, awaiting for an event to happen.
"The world was invaded by the demons, tsk tsk...", a mysterious voice echoed through the darkness.
"What?", he opened his eyes.
"If you were given another chance, what would you choose to do?", the voice asked.
He stayed still for a while before answering.
"I don't know who you are, but, if I were truly given a new chance... I'll come back and hunt that devil alive!", he stated with determination.
The voice chuckled briefly.
"Interesting... Fine, I'll give you that chance. Be sure to end my unfinished business, Eldrin Nox Drakonflam.", the voice chuckles once again.
"You know me?", he asked curious.
"I know you and you know me, for you have served me still despite losing your hope.", the voice said.
"Wait, you're...!", Eldrin says.
"May we meet again Eldrin, do your best and I shall present you your seat beside me once the time comes.", the voice said.
"Wait!", Eldrin started to fall continuously.
...
...
...
"Young master... Young master!", a servant shouted.
"Haa!", Eldrin woke up.
He touched his face, felt his body as there were no wounds from the battle.
"Thank goodness...", the servant sighed.
"Where am I!?", Eldrin asked, shaking the servant's shoulders.
"Y-your in your room young m-master...!", the servant felt dizzy as he was continuously being shook by the shoulders.
Eldrin soon let go of her and walked to the window as he sees men and women in the middle, training sword techniques.
"Have I really returned back in time?", Eldrin muttered to himself.
"No wait, what happened to me first?", Eldrin asked the servant.
"Young master, you were found drunk inside one of the local taverns by those passing by and was soon brought here to your room.", the servant stated, feeling rebellious.
"What?", he said as he checked his body.
Ugh... I remember it now, when I found out that I couldn't procure aura in my body. I felt lost and troubled so I just resorted to using the unused allowance I had.
"Step aside.", Eldrin said as he walked to the door and exited to the hallway.
The servant felt confused, as it was the first time he had heard Eldrin speak to her in that authorative tone.
"I need to awaken my aura core immediately, I'll use every single resource I have early on.", Eldrin told himself.
...
...
"No.", the man said.
"But father!", Eldrin pleaded.
"I said no! You've already wasted hundreds silver glyphs in just a single week!", his father said angrily.
"Ugh, just why did I even decide to drink back then...", Eldrin muttered to himself.
Vanthos Nyx Drakonflam, patriarch of the Drakonflam family, one of the family clans that reveres the Martial God's teachings and also my father.
"Even till now, I still feel fear in front of him.", Eldrin muttered to himself.
"If you came here to waste my time Eldrin, I suggest you exit my office before I send you to the Martial God."
As soon as Eldrin received his warning, he immediately exited the patriarch's office and walked away.
He continued to walk till he reached the mansion's courtyard where he used to rest his mind when in stress.
"I can't buy the elixir pill from the auction now that my allowance has been cut...", he said.
"If only I could obtain Azazel's Bane again, it's one of my only chances of reawakening my core.", Eldrin sighed.
Azazel's Bane, the greatsword that the progenitor of the Drakonflam used to seal one of the devil kings Azazel, in the generation of Pandemoniun before the Martial God's ascension to godhood.
"If I want to have the chance of obtaining it, I'll need to revert my body to its former glory.", Eldrin said with determination.
He stood up from the bench and walked to the bloodline's exclusive training room.
He browsed through the weapons displayed at the corner of the room and lifted the heavy greatsword.
"My long time partner.", Eldrin grinned in excitement.
He inhaled deeply as he tried to swing the greatsword a few times before falling to the ground in exhaustion.
"This time, I'll get stronger! Faster than anybody else and save my comrades from those bastards!", he raged as he stood up to continue.
